I thought Breena was underpowered until I saw this deck. Now I have my own version and will be excited to run it. Some other cards to consider are Will O' the Wisps, Blinkmoth Nexus, and Nether Traitor, and Gurmag Swiftwing. All very efficient and cheap fliers. Thanks for doing what you do, Demo.
Wow I love some of the cards you showed, I have absolutely no idea how I've never seen scourglass in an edh deck, it's absolutely absurd in something like Silas renn
Hey great video, I’ve recently been building an alibou deck. Great thinking on the tangle wire inclusion. I gotta warn you however about Rebbec. Your artifacts will be Pro themselves. If you have clock of omens out, you won’t be able to untap permanents with it because you’ll have protection from 4 cmc artifacts!
Hey, your videos are great man. I just built a Sidisi deck with Gyruda as a companion. Idk if that’s you like building with a companion but if you do I would like to see how you would go about building it
I slapped Yedora in my forest-centric Ashaya deck! I don't have much in recursion so choosing to have a creature come back in as a forest is pretty good.
Nils to me was pretty underwhelming as well when it came to a mono-white commander, however manipulating the direction of combat is something I find very neat and cool to do in mono-white. One card I'd add to the deck would be Crawl Space. With it and Mystic Barrier, essentially anyone that attacks us could only attack with 2 creatures and if any of those creatures have counters they'd have to pay for it. Something else I would do for the deck is add Sublime Archangel and Angelic Exaltation. We are going to have a lot of creatures on board, from tax effects to good creatures that care about +1/+1 counters, so why not pump Nils to be gigantic, tap down the 1 opponent we are attacking of all their blockers, and just yeet them out of the game? That'd be neat.
Thanks for the Nils tech. Idk how can people ask how decks like these can win. Just drop Elesh Norn, she is perfect finisher I nearly each white whiney staxy decks.
I personally feel like Nils has been slept on a little bit. He’s better than he looks at first glance, because I think people forget that it’s a “may” ability. He’s not super powerful or anything but he can put in some work for you.
For yedora add a card that makes all lands creatures in addition to being lands like ambush commander add an ashnods altar and you got infinite colored and colorless mana. Add like temur sabertooth with a value card and gg with value.
For the alibou deck, what about vehicles? Alibou crews for 4 which is more than enough for most vehicles, also almost all vehicles are mana efficient in terms of power and toughness with their evasion. I built it and it’s a power 7-8. Unwinding clock is amazing and fiery emancipation to make alibou deal a lot of non combat damage. Also witch’s clinic to gain some life and get back into the game a bit if you’re low
In the Alibou deck, since you're pillow forting and Artifact centered why not use one of the best pillow fort artifacts out ther - Norn's Annex - hardly ever see this mentioned in pillow fort decks but it is amazing. Attackers have to basically pay one phyrexian white mana (pay (W) or 2 life) for each attacking creature. If they're not playing white........this works even better with Nils.
For your Breena build, don't both Hushbringer and Kunoros shut down a lot of what other cards in the deck would do: -- Hushbringer shuts down Abu Ja'far, Embodiment of Agonies, Basri's Lieutenant, Elenda, Glorious Protector, Skyclave Shadowcat, Solemn Simulacrum, Stoic Farmer, Alharu, Puppeteer Clique, and Luminate Primordial? -- Kunoros shuts down Puppeteer Clique (both the ETB theft and the persist) and Cauldron of Souls?
What do you think about adding grafted exoskeleton to Alibou? Because it does the damage to them If you have 10 tapped artifacts then someone loses the game then and there
Just wanted to say that I have been enjoying the heck out of Alibou for the past few weeks. What are your thoughts on Martyr's Bond + Claws of Gix in a deck like that? Between Scrap Trawler, Teshar, Sun Titan, Goblin Welder, and others it really makes things difficult for my opponents after I get set up. I don't think they're usually expecting a White/Red deck to have that kind of lock on the board. I slid Hall of Heliod's Generosity in there just in case.
Considering Breena. You can start off political and end off with your opponents saying "I was too hungry for card draw early game now I'm taking massive damage from the big bird"
For the Breena deck, I'm curious to know why you included Elenda and not Felisa? I think they both deserve a place in any Breena deck, but having Elenda and not Felisa feels weird considering Felisa triggers on any nontoken creature, not just herself...
i think elenda is better because creatures are dying all over the place in commander games typically, so at the end of the day she'll have alot more counters on her, where as felisa will only have the counters you put on your own creatures. but she definitely does work in the deck if you want to put her in.
first impressions change once you start brewing. very unique commander, no question, it's just really difficult to keep your opponents from also drawing off of breena, which i don't love.
@@edhdeckbuilding Politic heavy as well. Which is insanely in theme. I usually talk up the card draw and get everyone focused on that. That way they dont realize how massive Breena is getting. I've completely dropped the shadow creatures in favor of pure hatebears since almost all of them are between 1 to 3 mana and fly. People were sleeping on Strict Proctor because they thought it was just a worst Hushbringer, but now they're starting to realized that it's ANY etb triggered by a permanent. You have seen true salt until you've seen a landfall player who just realized their deck doesnt work because they have to pay 2 for Lotus Cobra's mana and 6 to get Omnath's 2 life, WBGR mana, and 4 damage. And I've found that Board wipes arent too bad if you only play one creature per opponent that you can get a trigger on and hold the rest in hand. That way you always have mana up for removal or to protect your board with cards like Comeuppance, Ghost Way, Eerie Interlude, or Terferi's Protection. And if you have to pitch cards, pitch the creatures then reanimate them later if you need to.
Haven't seen an official ruling on this yet, but since it says "whenever a player attacks "one" of your opponents (not one or more) it may mean you can draw for each opponent that meets the criteria. Still waiting for clarification.
the card says nothing about highest life total. when you attack an opponent, the ability checks if that player has more life than another opponent, and if you attack a second opponent, it will check for that player as well. i'm pretty much positive i'm right about this or they would have worded it "whenever a player attacks one or more of your opponents".
I like the Shadow idea a lot for Breena. I was going with a similar fashion and, here me out, as someone whos wanted to make this very specific archetype work before: Breena may be the best Knight tribal commander. Yes. Even more so than Gwyn or Aryel. Knights biggest and most absolute damning weakness is combat and the ability to persist in card tempo. Breena solves BOTH of those, and given how many knights have first strike, those counters are going to go a long way. Add the famous Haakon backup plan and you're swimming in gold. Likely going to comment more as I watch the video, just giving my spur of the moment thoughts while its fresh on my mind.
Best videos I’ve ever seen, the way you build decks inspires me.
thank a bunch

I have the "classic" version, before I buy more pillowfort cards,I wish someone say me if this list work well (after tests)
“It’s pretty hard to win while your dead” Yep. That makes sense
Math checks out.
I watched to video just for nils.... I too like white. Wanted to see how to use him... very nice.
Please, make a deck tech on Gyruda and/or Wrexial!
sweet mama latina with a chankla, Breena AND Alibou in one video... it's christmas already?!?!?! :)
nice work man, you made my monday
I just ran across this video, and I unironically already have a Nils deck built and am currently building Yedora, lol.
Yedora-embodiment of insight and a sac outlet will go infinite. Add any landfall trigger for profit.

Another things thats really cool with alibou: Veichles!
You can tap your creatures and a lot of veichles have cool habilities

Breaking symmetry...well said Demo.
Nice! I did land animation for my Yedora deck.

That Alibou decktech is insane I'm moved
Someone said they counted 27 screw ups in the set. I heard it still is continuing.
I LOVE Duathi embrace

paying life is actually easier in commander. people are a lot less likely to pay mana than life.

Lets gooo!
"only mono green where you want board wiping to happen all the time" Ashaya is disappointed lol
Breena (the Demagogue) orzhov group slug... hehehe
Ertai, the Corrupted
Considering Breena. You can start off political and end off with your opponents saying "I was too hungry for card draw early game now I'm taking massive damage from the big bird"
Approach of the Second Sun works with the Golem (Alibou) commander REALLY well

Does kill switch work with alibou? Can I attack then activate kill switch before alibous trigger goes off?
that works. the only problem is none of you artifacts will untap on your next turn.
Oh. I remember when you first reviewed these commanders. You gave Breena a power level of 3 or 4 what changed your mind?
first impressions change once you start brewing. very unique commander, no question, it's just really difficult to keep your opponents from also drawing off of breena, which i don't love.

@@Bladezeromus i think you could just go straight hatebears with breena and make a pretty formidable deck.
What's the ruling for spreading out your attacks? For example I attack player a and b, a has 50 life b has 40 life. Still attacking both.
you attack 2 players, as long as they both have more life than the third opponent, you should draw 2 cards.
Haven't seen an official ruling on this yet, but since it says "whenever a player attacks "one" of your opponents (not one or more) it may mean you can draw for each opponent that meets the criteria. Still waiting for clarification.
quite certain you can get 2 draws, since attacking different players is different triggers.
@@edhdeckbuilding I would assume it's just the opponent with the Highest life total. Maybe if they're tied you get 2 draws?

"break symmetry" I am literally making a Klothys deck that wants to hit with worldslayer. Get mana from commander and profit
Hi
Hello
Is it me?
Day 1 of asking for an Atogatog Deck Tech!
I look forward to following this
Bring back shadowww

Have Breena as a Merlin while you run all the Knights? That sounds like a lovely idea and I'm in.
ever end up building Breena as your Knight Tribal Commander? Love to see the list if you did!
