    Thanks for the great video! Looking forward to more dodge content in my future. Hard to find straightforward stuff for the long box dodge heavy duties. Much appreciated

    You have a smooth baritone fer narration, a natural teacher. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it. Least, that is this subscriber's opinion

      It sure was a pain in the ass getting the old one off. Eventually got it off with an air ratchet

    1-1/4 pipe with the threads sanded about half off works beautifully to drive it back on.

    Heads up with Dallas Dodge. They just charged me full retail for a carrier bearing. Discount is around $170. Dallas charged $247.

    Good video much information included with much knowledge, Thanks. Hay my support that holds the center bearing seems weak to me how was yours did you beef it up with extra steal????

    • @Glennfix
      @Glennfix  Před 3 lety

      My support seemed strong. You may want to check for rust and replace if needed. There is no torque on it it just holds up the driveshaft. All the torque from the engine is in the driveshaft. So it dose not have to be real strong.

    I just wanted to point out that some parts you can get away with buying from a dealership. Once you start getting into things like coil packs they will overcharge you by 400%. Be careful

    skipped the entire part im looking for.. how did you get the two halves of the drive shaft to separate .

    • @Glennfix
      @Glennfix  Před rokem

      They will come apart. I know it can be hard. Sometimes it is better to leave the front part of the drive shaft in and pull on the back. You can tape on it a little to break it loose, but don't bend anything.

    • @Glennfix
      @Glennfix  Před 2 lety

      I got it from Dodge, but there is a Dodge dealer close to where I live but they want too much money for their parts. If I need a part from Dodge I order it from www.dallasdodge.net/ they have good prices and fast shipping.

    The Blue coating is a synthetic permanent lubrication & no grease is required is my understanding.

    • @jfredmuggs56
      @jfredmuggs56 Před 3 měsíci

      1998 Dodge 2500. Today. That "permanent" lubrication made the two shafts seize to each other. Had to beat them apart. Nearly ruined the WEAK yoke!

    Spicer-Great quality
    Moog-Hot garbage
    Moog use to be reputable, their product quality has plummeted in the past 4-5 years. Better off buy house brands. Same shit, half the cost. Simply put, all you pay for is the name, now.

    YOU SHOULD CLEAN EVERYTHING FIRST. THEN USE ONLY OEM SPICER PARTS. THEN USE A PRESS TO REMOVE AND REPLACE ALL THE PARTS.
