- Attack on titan despite all the great ideas, characters and other good aspects still has 1 issue - info dumb. Entire anime we have moments when story keeps building up question and then... just answers all of them in one scene. I get it when it's done in a small project. Where writers just didn't care, this is Attack on Titan and I kinda expected more creativity from it.
P.s. Sorry sound is awful sometimes. I got a new mic and still figuring it out.

This is fair i guess but to be honest I don't think a weird supernatural creature needs much explanation either. I don't think the story needs to explain everything to get the point of the story across that's more based in it's characters and it's world's state of hatred and racism.
Well again if they narrative was slowly uncovering Ymir's past then it would make sinse. But when its all rushed into a 5 min flashback than it feels sloppy.
I recently rewatched the series [up until the current release], and its explained well. even the season 3-4 transition with the time jumps makes sense in hindsight

You missed the entire point behind why ymir was a slave to begin with. The reason why she does things that no other person would reasonably do is because she has no concept of what it means to be free.
The reason her children and their children and etc have those powers is becouse they ate her spinal fluid(thats where the monster worm is)
I meant, why founding titans powers worked like that in the first place. With in the logic of the show.
@@purplegeorgy Not very explained in the show. But logically thinking, it's due to the creature. Probably consumption of it is possible and organisms of children of Ymir can absorb it.
I feel like the criticism with historias dad's lore dump missing the mark a bit.
Think about this, you're trying to convince your daughter to turn into the monster who killed her friends to eat another of her friends.
Don't you think you'd have to explain everything you know? Or else she won't do what you want cause you're not giving a reason.
It's not bad writing to have characters explain things, especially since isayama doesn't do it often and the for this it made sense
Im still not sure the convincing really needs to take place. Since she just needs to turn Historia into a titan. When she does, she eats Eren, get all the needed memories, along with Ymir's curse and now completely on her dad's side.
@@purplegeorgy well, it's not like she would just do it just because her dad asked her to.
Remember, historia has seen people around her die and not to mention Eren is one of her few living friends who has been told could be the future for humanity.
I don't personally see another way this could've planned out, and it's not like he could've forced her since he would be en danger and after she went back to being human she would've left his side.
The only way he could've done this was to convince her and tell her of the past
I kinda agree on u about the fact it should have been revealed bit by bit or at least by like 2 episodes, or explained what worm thing is but the manga explains a lot in the battle of heaven and earth, but ur kinda oversimplifying and ignoring a lot of stuff that was shown in the show to make this video
Second the example of rod reiss not explaining well to Eren and historia is supposed to make sense or his plan wouldn’t work like he wanted it to
Reiner’s and Bertolts mental problems aren’t explicitly stated again but shown in season 4 with Reiners struggle to live after everything he did on paradis, so although I do think there’s something’s in the show that’s not explained well, not everything in the show is explicitly stated vid ur seeing things from the characters point of view

Rod Reiss I guess was sapos to be like that, but still story vise his character was only there to revial exposition after which he literally left the narrative.
And idk about Reiner still in first seasons it is pretty clear he has a personality split, which on itself kinda makes sense considering all the trama he went throw. Issue here is that it's never properly explored and people later just forget about it.
Not trying to sound rude but I genuinely believe you have problems interpreting and understanding things in shows, you did it for the entire ditf video and you did it in this a ton as well. There are things that are literally just very obviously explained that ive never seen another human misunderstand before and then you bring it up as if its never been answered, and that its a plot hole or something. Also like another comment said, "Not every detail of the plot needs a meticulous explanation" one of your points was literally just "But why tho" which if you really want to critique something to that extent, basically all of fiction has problems like that because not everything needs to be explained in the utmost detail that doesnt matter.
It really feels like in these videos that you dont even try to look things up to understand them but instead just post a video saying things dont make sense or that its bad because you misunderstood it.
I do agree that I nitpick a lot of stuff since my vids are more of a subjective take, rather than actual critique.
So if i missed something you can instead of telling me how i misunderstood something, you can tell me how I misunderstood it.
However like I said my issue isn't necessarily that series doesn't explain everything, but rather that it explains in a weird way and essentially just info dumping from time to time.
Not every detail of the plot needs a meticulous explanation. Watching lectures is exhausting. For example, the series "Lost" where they explained too much at the end and killed all the mystery of the series (that's why the finale of "Lost" is considered so bad). I also don't understand the claim that Ymir didn't kill King Fritz. The last chapter says that she loved him. A lot of attention has been paid to this. How can you miss it. Or do you want to say that I judged the series without watching it completely, without knowing the end. This is even stupider in my opinion.
I didnt say anything about kiling the king. I said why didnt she get revenge on her tribe who sold her out and who im assuming she hated, since she was perfectly okey with titans eating her own ancestors.
Plz dont make a video on this until you acctually watch the show. it explains all of this except where the worm comes from
