What a naive statement! Firstly, is there any such thing as 'this Jesus Lord' and 'that Jesus Lord'? Secondly, what exactly are you trying to establish by saying, "...lives EVEN today."? Is the immortal & eternal God supposed to live only a certain number of days according to you that you seem to be so surprised as to exclaim He has exceeded the time-frame you gave Him? What a blessed testimony. I can fully understand the testimony because I am from similar back ground but I have to wait many years until I reached 50years. Now I am so happy that I accepted Jesus christ as my personal saviour. My father was very strict and punished me for attending a meeting of born again group when I was about 12years.

You are sadly mistaken if you imagine 'tongues' is the only sign of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Read for egs. 1 Cor 12:28-31 and learn first what are the various Spiritual Gifts or Sign of the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit in their descending Order of Superiority. Verse 28 will thus clearly reveal to you that 'tongues' is the least or the last on the list. The reason being 'tongues' are a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers - 1 Cor 14:22. And pray what kind of tongues if none understands or rightly interprets it, unlike its manifestation as described in Acts 2:6-12? Therefore, read 1 Cor 12:7 & 11 and understand firstly that just as it testifies therein, "Now to each one, the Manifestation of the Spirit is given FOR THE COMMON GOOD," and secondly, that "All these are the work of One and the same Spirit, He GIVES THEM TO EACH ONE, JUST AS HE DETERMINES." Clearly, not as we demand or determine!!!
So, you see, 'tongues' is not a certificate of authentication as false teachers have made it out to be so that their blind followers are deluded into a perpetual state of exhibitionism to their utter disgrace and shameful exposure! For the Word of God is unanimously concurrent throughout the scriptures that the prophesied 'Outpouring of the Holy Spirit' into the world took place on the Day of Pentecost following the Lord's Triumphant Ascension and Exaltation back to His Most High or Heavenly Throne - Acts 2:13. Thus, once and for all, making it POSSIBLE for all who will heed/obey Him (Acts to become His faithful witnesses (Acts 1:8). In other words, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is poured out to enrich, equip and empower His faithful to minister before Him in all Faithfulness for the COMMON GOOD of their fellowmen. Also, just as the Word of God reminds and exhorts (refer for egs. Matt 7:11, Lk 11:13, Jn 14:15, Acts 5:32 etc.) God is faithful to enable all who'd ASK and OBEY Him to partake of His Spirit. So, if you have been faithful to obey Him and follow Him, why do you doubt if He'd grant you His Spirit? Why do you seek others to do it for you?
Finally, understand that, just as Isa 11:2 clearly teaches, the true Manifestation of the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit shows forth itself in the 7 divine characteristics of the Holy Spirit - also called the 'seven eyes' or 'seven lamps' or 'seven spirits' (for egs. refer Zech 4:10, Rev 4:5a & b respectively) which are as follows:
1. The Spirit of God
2. The Spirit of Wisdom
3. The Spirit of Understanding
4. The Spirit of Counsel
5. The Spirit of Power
6. The Spirit of Knowledge and
7. The Spirit of the Fear of God.
So, you see, this is the reason just as the Lord has Himself testified in Matt 7:21-23, irrespective of people's boastful claims because they become utterly exposed for the 'wolves in sheep's clothing' that they truly are by their own fruits (Matt 7:15-16) - meaning their belying words/false teachings & their misdeeds/disobedience of the surpassing Righteousness of God - they will be irrevocably and publicly rejected by Him. Therefore, if you have any inclination at all to heed nothing but the Absolute, Infallible & irrefutable Truth, do away with all such foolish notions of exhibitionism and truly turn to God to ask of His Holy Spirit in order that you may seek and obey His surpassing Righteousness and become His faithful witness bearing much and lasting fruits to the Glory of His holy Name.
