This same recipe is from the Betty Crocker series cookbook from the 1970’s. It was also in the recipe cards. I’ve made it for around 50 years. The original recipe don’t call for brown sugar in the sauce. Edit: So good with mashed potatoes. 😊

Yummy! My grandmother and mother made porcupines in the pressure cooker. Now one of my sisters makes them for her grandkids! They go back to the 1940’s in our family. Use extra long grain River Rice for the spines to stand out! The leftovers make delicious sandwiches the next day. Mash or slice them cooled. Put on sourdough or rye bread with mayo or butter and a leaf of lettuce. A delicious surprise in your school lunchbox!

I have made Million Dollar meatballs using orzo in the Instant Pot/Quick Cooker and they turned out great. I imagine that you could do the same with these Porcupine Meatballs, but not traditional for you.

My Grandma made these when we were kids. But she used her Bravetti Electric pressure cooker! Always turned out perfect! I added cheese on top at the end for a little extra but we looked forward to these at lunch time!

That scoop makes approximately a 1 ounce meatball I used it the other day but not for this recipe

Sorry to say, but those don't look appetizing at all. 🤢
