Can You Beat Pokemon Emerald Kaizo With Only Steel Types?! (No Items, HARDEST ROM HACK EVER)

- Welcome in this challenge we are going to attempt to beat pokemon emerald kaizo (one of the hardest rom hacks on the market) With only steel type pokemon. Steel types are very physical defensive pokemon that can hit hard but won't outspeed anything so can they stand up to the special moves that kaizo throws at them let's find out together.
This might not seem that hard but the level cap in this game is crazy and on top of that every trainer has an elite team and did i mention that your pokemon can't gain any ev's and your opponent always gets max ev's it's also not possible to use any items in battle so this challenge is definetly going to be interesting.

@Carson Chen thanks because when I've tried posting a video it said "good news the copyright claim has been dropped" I interpret that as I nearly got in trouble but I didn't and I don't want to take that crap so they therefore lost a potential poketuber

Generation 1-3, yeah. Gen 4 had some good ones like Bronzong. Gen 5 and onward to ky knowledge didn't have any cool steel types that rivaled the old ones.

How could I beat Gaia first try? People are all complaining about how hard it was. I did no items aswell. Maybe beginners luck lol
Kevin fought from start to end, unlucky his journey had to end this way. We will remember you brave little Beldum.
Actually Registeel and the other Regis are the only Legendaries you can obtain before E4.
The method’s the same, with Wailord and Relicanth, however Wailmer has an extremely low catch rate even if you use a Net Ball. And even then, you have to level it up to 70.
The Sealed Chamber is the same as the vanilla games, except for an added waterfall so you can’t access it until you beat Juan.
The locations and puzzles for the Regis are also the same.
The Regis themselves are just as hard to catch as the Wailmer. Not just in catch rate, but they also carry Explosion. So unless you got a Damp Pokémon on you, you have to do everything in your power to prevent Explosion.
I know this because I used Regice as one of my team members in the E4.

Amazing Playz nah dragon. Only one type is really good against it since most dragons have a fire type move that can easily counter it since most ice are slow. Fairies are their only downside

@Pratik Timsina 109 rare candies with pickup? The odds of getting a single rare candy with pick up is insane and no pokemon on his team can get the pickup ability sooooooo yeah he needs to be honest and instead of saying he "grinded" he needs to admit to using rare candies
I often wonder about this as the encounter rates in this game are so low. Don’t see how he can grind.

You should try a Technician challenge. Where you are unable to use any moves over 60 base power
Loved the video dude. Small tip though, you should probably faint the HM slaves before you bring them with you, cause even though they weren't attacking, they tanked a few hits that probably would've changed the outcome of the battle. Again though, just a small complaint, can't comprehend the amount of effort that would go into this otherwise!!

If you could get your hands on Light screen (Forretress can learn it as a TM) and get it up before Houndoom comes in, Aggron might be able to take a hit. I don't know, just a theory.

there is only 17 unused dual types and there is a chance he doesnt get 1 of the 17 type on this page pokemondb.net/type/unused#:~:text=Search-,Unused%20type%20combinations,type%20combos%20in%20the%20game.
Normal poison and normal bug is easy to get early

I have never played this hack before so I don't know if my idea is viable (as in if the TM are even in the game), but Aggron usually can be taught Rain Dance in gen 3, so that could always be used for a shot at neutering Heat Wave.

I always have a rooster of dual type pokemon, and nome of them has any same type, kinda infuriating for me to have two pokemon share a same type, but you did a great job, great!

Im not sure what tms are available but I believe aggron can learn surf. (Not the best for battle though) and also I'd think the rain dance tm would be available but I never played kaizo so I wouldn't know.

Sneasel can have a quick claw. You can catch a venonat for the compound eyes before you reach first trainer Red, and find easily few.
Its in the ice puzzle above on brown ground.
Beside that, you could teach lightscreen to a pokemon, where probably heatwave wouldnt ko you... while that lightscreen could be a help even further.
I started to type a comment about the fact that you are playing on "shift mode" but then I remembered you are only using Steel types and that is enough handicap as it is lol

@@RaphielShiraha64 he hadnt even gotten the 7th badge yet so he cant even get waterfall or use dive to get the hm and he needs to be able to use waterfall to get into the Elite 4 so no he actually cheated

Sturdy in gen 3 only worked for true Ohko moves like sheer cold or guillotine
