So far, you are the only channel who actually knows their stuff. Thank you! I think I had to play and pause certain sections 50 times to see which buttons you pushed, especially in the selection, layers part😩. You are soooo fast😂

A great tip with the lasso tool that is kind of hidden: with the lasso tool selected you can press "alt" and it will turn into the polygonal lasso tool, if you draw normally it will act like the lasso, if you pick up the pen or release the mouse button it will act like the polygonal tool. This is really helpful if you are lassoing and need to give your hand a break, as you can let go and it won't close the selection until you release 'alt'. It works for adding or subtracting from the selection too (press shift then alt, or alt, release and alt again).

here's several things about which features of Photoshop to learn first
      Image size alteration
      Removal of unwanted objects
      Layers
(I read about these and more from Trevs Photo Blueprint site )

All these things which were cut-out though, were on pretty simple plain coloured backgrounds :) I've been trying to find a pro way to cut out complex things, such as a bush on a grassy field where both are almost the same colour. That is tricky!

This is probably the most useful tutorial I've come across. I would say though that you could easily make separate videos for each technique, going even further into detail of each method. Thank you!

This has all the best tricks of the trade for cutting anything out in Photoshop. You did kind of go a bit fast over the steps. It was difficult for us mere designer mortals to keep up. At least for me anyway. My two cents. Your design blog is and has been one of my favorites that I've ever been to and I have been benefiting from it for many years now. Thank you.

People commenting about this vid being too fast, however, I like it as a bird's eye view of all the various methods I can choose for chopping stuff out. I can pick one and youtube other videos for more details. I saved the video to reference again as I look up each one. Also, I like the progressions from quick and dirty to highly detailed. Great video! Thanx!

Easily the best 'all round' video on Photoshops range of powerfull tools for cutting out ANYTHING. All you people saying he is too quick? CZcams provides a "pause" button!!! The idea is to inform you of the range of tools and methods available not to hold your hand and do it for you! I have used every one of these techniques during my 24 years of Photoshop and had to discover ( teach myself ) them without any CZcams videos so be very gratefull that this guy has shared them with you. Now go and do some work!

As somebody who works primarily with video/motion graphics this tutorial is incredibly useful. I'm totally fluent and at ease with After Effects and Premiere but popping over to PhotoShop to cut out and prepare elements for animation is often a daunting experience! really well made and I'm sure I'll be watching back over this many times :) Thanks Spoony!

Great video! You did a fine job sharing quickly what tool options are available to do ONE specific thing (cutting things out). Even after years of self teaching and countless hours of practice, I still learned a lot here. It's very easy to spend 90 minutes on videos on how to use one tool which is why I like this video as it brings awareness to other possible methods. I also like how you progressively moved up the sliding scale of tools in the order of which is probably most natural to learn them. Good job on this video!
