Amazing tutorial. I have a question for you and would be really appreciated if you help. I want to change the floor pattern of a 360 image that has been flattened into a 2d image. I get an undesired result when I change it back to 3D since the pattern shapes around a center.

I've been using Photoshop on and off for quite a few years but nobody has ever made masking so incredibly accurate and versatile as the techniques that you have just taught me. I could not subscribe to your channel quickly enough. Thank you so so much you've literally saved me hours and days of valuable time.

a few years back you told us how to work with "channel-based mask" not with this very name but it is something that I use almost every day. The fur tip was the best on this video, thanks for a little bit of ur knowledge, Jesus. Thank u very much.

That knockout technique is def Ps tip of the year!

I love how you can use a program for years and still learn something new. Most of these tricks I did not know (especially that last one, wow!). Did not know knockout was even a thing and largely ignored it. This is so much better than the roundabout way of masking I've been doing for a while. Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information!

We tend not to read all the "what's new" notes so tons of new and/or improved things slip by us. One can easily become a dinosaur in terms of ease of use, efficiency and skill level with software like PS, especially these days! :)

WOW!!! More great lessons from the Master. That last knockout tip was fantastic! I've never seen "shallow" used before. I will be adding that to my tool box. Thanks so much Jesus.

Thx for solving the mystery (to me) about why the knockout always revealed only empty pixels (b/c the background layer was not defined). Also, i've seen it in other of your vids but the use of Filter>Other>Minimum is a really good tip that I've used a lot since learning it from you. Finally, creating a custom brush, editing & using it to artificially "create" mask edges that would otherwise be virtually un-selectable is a great pro tip.
You're the best, Jesus. Thx for your generous sharing.

I'm sure we have all come so far learning how photoshop on our own. Watching videos like this shows us how far we still have to go, but every video on this channel brings us a few steps farther than we were before. I'm so happy I found this channel and am grateful that there are people like Mr. Ramirez to help me learn.

For me the knock-out section was the most valuable. As a subscriber to your chanel, I did know the other tricks, and have worked with them very often. The furtrick I have used a lot - but with the grass-brush from an older video of yours. As I say, no matter how well you think you know the stuff in PTC's videos, there will always be something you can pick up.....

It's incredible how you manage to pack so many useful tips into a 16-minute video. I can imagine someone writing a slim book just about these tips.
I also appreciate the uncompromising application of non-destructive methods. I have seen some other video guides showing nice end results, but cutting corners by using destructive methods. Seeing such workflows is always far less satisfying.

The Knockout trick is doubly relevant because you knocked out of the park with this video. It's the added value details that make your videos so good. I sort of knew how to do most of what you cover, but you always manage to take it a step further, and Knockout had completely slipped past me prior to watching this video. How long as it been there in Layer Styles for heck's sake? I loved using vector tools to make that ultra fine fur brush preset. Why have I never thought to do that before?! I have most of the Aaron Blaise brush packs and I know my way around the brush engine, but that took it up a level. I TA'd for Dave Cross at MAX in 2016, and he spoke about how he'd impressed Scott and the other 'Photoshop Guys' with a difficult flyaway hair mask before telling them that he'd painted in hair to improve the mask. I'm also reminded of Dave Hill's Adventure Series video where he moves the camera point of view through a scene in which he has given the composited elements different depths, and we can see the edges of the hair is on a separate layer. Thanks again for another outstanding video JesĂșs.
