So to recap, the US was meddling in the affairs of another country (woah big surprise), sent it's warships into that country's waters, blew up 3 of their boats when those boats retaliated for the incursion, then went BACK into their waters and got spooked by a storm so we decided to start dropping napalm on them.

Actually my grandpa's father happened to be in port when that happened... He knew that it was very suspicious but he didnt tell anyone in fear what USA could do to our family... he lived all his live terryfied I can tell for not beeing able to tell the truth. Later on, when he was old decided to go to the newspaper and tell his secret. His story never reached neither the USA for obvious reasons and whole Spain cauze people didnt want to remember the 'traitor war' or the 'humiliation war' they called. Still to this day we keep that newspaper...

History should be like this, not fucking reading page by page with no pictures. 5 years ago when I was in 8th grade, my history teacher ONLY used a textbook called "Ways of the world" and god damn I had such a hard time understand and remembering. History films and animation are so much better... this channel is awesome, but I wish you guys came out during 2012-2013 school year lol

I believe they admitted that the Gulf of tonkin never happened, it was exaggerated to get us into the Vietnam war. Also I believe the captain of the ship was the father of the singer jim morrison, lead singer of the doors.

I visited the uss turner joy and toured it was awesome i got to sit in the gun that shot the last shot of the Vietnam war and see what life was like for sailors and i think simple history should make a vid about sea life for sailors or more Vietnam war stuff
