I loved this, it captivated me as a child. I remember watching this at school broadcast live before VCRs were around, the blue screen counting down the white dots around the clock face before it started.
One of the greatest kid's series of all time. Stuff of legend! I remember being ill and off school when they showed the last part. I was gutted I missed it. Great to see it almost 40 years later!
This needs to released on DVD one of my favourites this was in the 1980s growing up like the boy from space has been released on DVD on B.F.I series of DVDs
I love all look and read the teacher used to roll the television out and we would all b so excited for the next episode helps me when awake at night in pain thanks for this
Miss Hawk could make me see sense in the bedroom anytime she wanted. On the more innocent note though I absolutely loved this at primary school in the early 80s. Along with the boy from space and other stuff
David Collings who played Lord Dark in this was in Doctor Who three times in the classic series and once on audio for Big Finish he also appeared in Blakes Seven in the finale of the series called Blake and he was in Sapphire and Steel he did well in his life a shame he is gone now I had the privelege of meeting at a Blakes Seven convention and he was very friendly. I hope to one day get to meet Gary Russell again at a future convention
I really wish I had been as old as Gary Russell was when Gary did this series Gary was aged 18 had I been 18 in 1981 instead of later in 1987 I wouldhave been happier in billions of ways knowing that I would have been grown up left school also I would have been an adlt in 1981 which would have been billions of times better than becoming an adult in the mid to late 1980s and also I know if I had turned 18 years of age in 1981 I like Gary Russell would have been born in 1963 instead of been born in 1969
I can imagine Gary Russell is a big Blakes Seven fan like me and I can also imagine Gary Russell has met all the Blakes Seven regular cast and when Gary and I were at the Blakes Seven convention in 2007 he interviewed Gareth Thomas Colin Baker Jacqueline Pearce Michael Keating and various other guests I hope one day we may meet again at a future convention and also we can catch up with each other Gary is awesome and a very nice man

Fantastic memories of that big TV and video being rolled into the classroom 😁

Must be Derek Griffiths singing the theme song. Wonderful presenter and musician.

"Gracie, was a loner".
What an opening line 😅😅😅
2024: "Tracey identified as an introvert"
I loved many look and read programmes this one is one of my favourite and also cloud burst and fairground and the kings dragon
Bit of trivia: The actor who played the Tall Knight was Chewbacca in Star Wars.

I saw Gary Russell at a Blake,s Seven event in 2007 and sadly have not seen him since a shame in billions of ways
I wish I had been an adult when this series was shown in the 1980s
Miss Hawk longs to see it and touch it. She must have it, and she'll do anything to get it 😂😂😂😂

Uploader, any chance you can put on the best of the Look and Read stories? *The Boy from Space* ?
I've met Christopher Biggins and he remembers this.
Had nightmares of this miss hawk going up the stairs
This was the time when they hired actors in their 30s to play children.
aww Gary Russell
So the dog is the only adult cast member who hasn't appeared in any classic sci-fi/genre media.
Ms. Hawk went from stealing books in this to changing her name to Ms. Davenport and stealing paintings from Del boy. Tut tut she will never learn
Did the uploader add the BBC Two ident at the beginning?
Is this the complete series? I Read it runs 20 minutes so 10x20 minutes …..sometjing is missing Here. Ami wrong?
They have cut the educational parts
