For all its downsides, I still love the internet. I just watched a documentary on the "battle of Britain".... thought "who was the voice of the documentary's narrator?" and discovered it was Struan Rodger. I then looked up who that was and a few clicks led me to this long forgotten gem from childhood that I remember watching at School in the mid 70s. Strangely engrossing story, that provided FAR more entertainment that the majority of the utter shite now on our screens. Thanks for the upload.

I loved this, it captivated me as a child. I remember watching this at school broadcast live before VCRs were around, the blue screen counting down the white dots around the clock face before it started.

Stephen garlick must have been 12 in the boy from space in 1971 and the he would have been 16 or 17 with the tomorrow people episode but still in the boy from space he looked only like nine or ten years old.

The same is with sylvestra le touzel she appeared as Helen in the boy from space and a few years later in either 1974 or 1975 I think 1975 though, She appeared in you must be joking an episode of that yet she looked more older then I don’t know if people just grew up or growth spurted up more faster back then.

Or maybe he was adjust an older teenager at the time.

I find it funny because for example Stephen garlick who played Dan in the 1971 version, he then was in an episode of the tomorrow people “Into the unknown” episode from 1976 he already looked much older after only five or six years Could somebody tell me I don’t know if the boy from space was filmed first in 1970, and then transmitted in 1971 But still, Stephen Garlick looks so much older even five years later It’s strange.

Miss Hawk could make me see sense in the bedroom anytime she wanted. On the more innocent note though I absolutely loved this at primary school in the early 80s. Along with the boy from space and other stuff

I really wish I had been as old as Gary Russell was when Gary did this series Gary was aged 18 had I been 18 in 1981 instead of later in 1987 I wouldhave been happier in billions of ways knowing that I would have been grown up left school also I would have been an adlt in 1981 which would have been billions of times better than becoming an adult in the mid to late 1980s and also I know if I had turned 18 years of age in 1981 I like Gary Russell would have been born in 1963 instead of been born in 1969
