Video detailing the issues I have had with the Rachio Hose Timer Hub power cable and port on the hub. Also a remedy to the issue I feel Rachio should make to the unit. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for a great tip. Follow the steps and I’m happy the power port work as it should be. Truly a great video detailing the issues and how to solved it. Rachio takes note !
Watched this in traffic driving home to set up my Rachio. Immediately checked the plug and was getting no power on the hub. I grabbed some wire cutters and snipped off about a quarter inch of rubber around the input. Done, fixed. Set up four valves in 30 minutes and tested all four zones with no issue. Fkn legend!
I receive my today, power cord was loose losing connection. I was about return it back get a new replacement. Just watch this video it work! 3/8 drill bit drill the hole. It work perfect!! Thank you =) RACHIO NEED FIX THIS PROBLEM....🙃
Thanks for info. Mine I just bought had the same problem. I took a razor knife to cord and trimmed off a tiny bit of plastic around the metal and now it works. 😊
Thanks a lot. I did the drill hole routine and it worked. Rachio had sent me a replacement hub and that did not work too. On the second one, I cut off about a 1/4 inch of black plastic from the power adapter front. That worked too. Did not have to drill a hole. You may want to try it and post it.

Thank you, I was wondering why this thing wouldnt work. Rachio pay attention.
Thanks for this. I read the a fourm describing this exact fix. It amazes me how they still aren’t able to engineer this thing right.
Went to setup smart hose timer and hub wasn’t powering on after plugging in. Found this video and definitely has to be the issue. Thank you

Rachio should use micro USB power instead of age old round connector
Agreed ... USB C would have been wiser. Thank you for watching
