@@TR-ry3cn That made me laugh, even if I'm Polish haha. Tbh, in the 90 Poland was like Wild West a little bit, but today the crime rate is really low. It has always a lot in common with the poverty. I leave my car is usually open. I swear, I wouldn't do this even in France or germany nowadays.

I'm very happy that you enjoyed your time in Poland😄. You learned a lot about the history of Poland, you tried Polish food, you learned a few words in our language. Today we celebrate the 105th anniversary of regaining independence. The main celebrations are celebrated in Warsaw at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I'm waiting for the next episodes from Europe Trip and I wish you Meljean a successful trip to other European countries you still want to visit.

That is a big difference, from third world country to first world countries. In the US, if you have a complaint in the restaurant they will immediately rectify it or cancel your bill. The last thing they want is for anybody to say anything or be unhappy with their service. I found it is quite the opposite in the Philippines. They want you to pay, regardless whether you like it or not.
I was really shocked when they cancelled it lol, We actually said that were gonna pay it still and the waiter mentioned about it's the restaurants policy.

Oh no. Missed the premiere. It was an hour earlier. Well watching the replay now. The Uprising museum informative and sad. The palace of culture and science is beautiful. Glad you enjoyed lunch. Love how comfortable you are taking public transportation in these countries. Looking at you shop in the grocery/convenience store. Was wondering what was in the packet and you explained it was beet root concentrate. Add water and drink 😂. Thanks for sharing. Hello MJ, that tiny Fiat is a 126p. It was sold across Europe (including the UK) and some were made at Fiat's Polish factory (not too far from Katowice). As for the Palace of Culture it was a 'gift' by Stalin to the Polish people after WW2. It's not a popular building with some Polish people as it reminds them of their Communist era. There was talk of demolishing this so-called Palace but, so far, nothing has happened.
Actually, it wasn't a gift, but a symbol of Soviet domination, just as during the partition in the 19th century, the symbol of Russian domination was the 70-meter high Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral on one of the most important squares in Warsaw, which was demolished right after regaining independence.
@@krisfekete4940Hello Kris, thanks for your comments. I must have been reading too many guide books on Warsaw as some refer to the Palace as a "gift" ! My first visit to Warsaw was 30 years ago at a time when the city was emerging from the Communist era. Quite a contrast to today.
@@alexmcwhirter6611 well, it is called a "gift", so it's fine to refer to it this way. Just remember about the "" 😅 It was built by polish workers, and from polish materials. That's why demolishing it is a stupid idea. It not like it was built by Stalin.

maluch (FIAT 126p) was my first car ever and I loved this car. I remember years after I have borrowed my Renault megane to my uncle and for few days he gave me his maluch in exchange. I was schced how small maluch was. I had difficulty to sit in it and drive. Years before I had no such problems at all. It only shows how easy we can adopt for better life and going back is difficult.
The 126 was really just a more modern version of the original 500. Living in a big city it was so useful for coping with traffic congestion.
@@alexmcwhirter6611 Yeah true but In Poland there was no traffic problems in 80s. Honestly 9 out of 10 cars back then it was maluch. To spot western car was like spotting unicorn haha.

You will find that most western cities comparable to Singapore and Japan, but most of the architecture to be older, some new some really old, like hundreds of years old
in Switzerland I was robbed twice, In Paris I was robbed once a day on the street, and I was threatened with death in the evening when I went out through the city, in Poland it's quicker to find karma for someone like that

Law is the law for everyobe. They have no correctness complex and the subway and the city are very familiar.

thats too complicated for such a channel. The costs depend also on the income and Asia has third world countries like Afghanistan and a lot others who have even no subway to first world countries like Singapore, Japan etc
