- I love those niche brands that have a deep history and in the case of LUBIN PARIS, they're connected to Marie Antoinette and the French Royal Court of Louis XVI
Lubin's Black Jade was originally called "Bouquet de Trianon" and was created for Marie Antoinette; the original formula has survived to this day and now you too can enjoy a perfume that was made for the Queen of France!

I'm in love with perfume and beautiful smells. I deeply love niche perfumes and find that they are unique and incredibly diverse. I am Marcelo Oillataguerre and I'm the Niche Fragrance Collector.

I do agree with many of the comments, Lubin is underrated. At Libertine, I was told that there is a very small fan base outside of that not many go looking for it. I am worried that they will not be easy to find in years to come.
Yep, I hear you Ilias...it would be a crime if this brand were to disappear. Too much beauty, history and art that would be lost.
Hence why Kevin and I are making this brand such a focus on the Fragrance Tour. We want others to experience this beauty with us♥️
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector there is hardly anything on Lubin online, like there is very little for many of the niche brands; as I am certain you know all too well.
One searches Xerjoff, Creed, PDM, and some others and there is tons of stuff out there.
It’s why, when I go shopping, be it for groceries or fragrances at Oligarch, I look down below and high above, that’s where the true hidden treasures are, where the next Naxos lurks for the ones looking.
I truly hope that we do not lose Lubin and if it is to happen, I’d like a warning from our friends at Libertine so I can stash some away.
Very nice Marcelo! I didn't have opportunity to try Black Jade but after your video I will for sure. Lubin is one of my top 3 houses. I have Akkad,Upper ten,Korrigan, Itasca and Sinbad. I really love all of them but if I have to choose one it would be Sinbad. It's such an amazing scent.
Amazing collection Elvis! Everyone that you mentioned here are absolute classics♥️
And yes, Black Jade is worth experiencing....beautiful fragrance🥰
I need to try Sinbad. Upper Ten is my favourite.
Beautiful bottle. Must try!
Thanks Ayesha! Wonderful to hear from you
My wife’s wedding scent! The shop in the 6eme is so worth going to!
Awesome choice!! What history♥️ and what a glorious scent to remember the day by💫 and how beautiful and 'filled with history' is the original boutique! I absolutely love it🥰
Great to hear from you @pandafragrance
Great as always Marcelo my man. Never tried this offering from Lubin, but the house is amazing, very underrated. Idole edp is my favourite offering.
I love Idole! Awesome choice Filip💫 and yes, Black Jade is worth testing...beautiful fragrance
Thank you for this very interesting video on black Jade. I have yet to discover the brand. Your french accent is very good, Marcelo 🙂 !
Thanks for the encouragement Sandra 🇫🇷😬 Trying to get better!
The entire Lubin house is gorgeous, worth exploring their collection♥️
Lubin is so underrated! My fav is Korrigan
Totally agree; Lubin flies very low under the radar, but it shouldn't because it holds so many great fragrances!
Thanks for jumping into the conversation @oliverriezebos
Thank you for this mini lesson, Marcelo. A local-ish niche store carries the Lubin brand, I need to make it there and check it out. Black Jade sounds very much like my kind of thing. Also, pretty good French (coming from a French Canadian, haha).
Great to hear from you Jonathan and thanks for the encouragement 🇫🇷😬
Yes, Lubin is one of those brands that flys under the radar but should get a lot more attention both from a historical point of view but also from the library of incredible fragrance's that they carry.
Will be curious to hear your thoughts once you get the chance to test...great to connect mate👊🏽
Thank you Marcelo 🙏 Love this ❤ I try Black Jade at Libertine, very nice. Another one on my list, very hard to cross ❎😄
You're going to find that 'The List' will never get smaller....only grow bigger!!😳 And yes, this one is worthy to test out♥️
Thank you 🎉
Thank you homie👊🏽
Woohoo! 🙌
Thanks for letting me insert this moment in the episode Ilias👊🏽
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector pleasure is all mine!
So funny. I researched this and then never did the video. Beat me to it. Great job!
Great to hear from you Katherine; you should still do your video! I'm sure that you can add further layers to this story plus would be great to get a female perspective on this beautiful fragrance♥️
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Yes. I totally intend to. :) Interesting to hear your take on it, plus you added much more depth with the relationship to the brand yourself. I'll let you know when I get it done. and THANK YOU!!!!I received my samples yesterday and can't wait to try them out!!! I opened the box and was like my GOSH what SMELLS so HEAVENLY?!? Still haven't tracked the source down yet... maybe it was the cloud of all of them mixed. But again, I greatly appreciate it and you!! Now I just need to come into some money so I can go on that trip with you all. 💗
This is such a wonderful story. BTW Marcelo, is that Haltane I see in the back?🙀🥹👏🫶
What!!!??😬 I actually placed that bottle there just for you😉
I knew you would pick up on this⚡️
What can I say, you converted me homie😎
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector hahhah woo hoo, nice one and I had to really focus on the bottle, never thought I would see Haltane in the cupboard with a podium place… 🥰🫶👊
@mike_smR like I mentioned it was all done with you in mind😎 “Mike has to see this bottle”🤩
Lovely storytelling as usual. Et ton français s’avance! 👏🏾👏🏾
Yes I do love the story behind this fragrance...what history!
I've been practising 🇫🇷😬 Mon Prof Luke has been very patient with me🙏🏽 but grateful for his tutelage
Great to hear from you Vivian💫
@@TheNicheFragranceCollectorSince we’re talking about language… you never replied to my last question about why Fueguia has a silent g.
@@vivianagbegha2712 Sorry about that Vivian! I lie not, but I'm getting over 30 comments a day these days, so if I can't get to it when it lands then boom....it's buried😑
Good question, but I don't know the exact answer. I use to pronounce it phonetically but then I heard Julian pronouncing it like I am now...but why? I don't know....yet! I'll do some research and promise to report back🫡
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Thanks!
@@vivianagbegha2712Hi Vivian ,in different parts they will pronounce Fwegiya in Mexico , Chile , yet other parts of South America use Freya … a lovely Chilean colleague went over it a while ago as it was challenging for me . She stated either way is acceptable 🙋🏻♀️🇦🇺❤️
Your best introduction yet.
Vive La France 🇫🇷🥰
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I wouldn’t go that far though 🤨 🇨🇭
@reddawksproject6945 😂
I regret not saying « Bienvenue, mon ami… »
This would’ve been better than bonjour 😣
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I think bonjour is great, and it would probably better to say « bienvenue les amis »
Bravo! Pas mal l'accent français. Tu parles pas trop mal👍
Merci beaucoup mon ami🙏🏽👊🏽
