❤
The transformation from opening to dry down of 40 Knots is insane! The magic happens in the air ✨️
We need more Xerjoff reviews!!
40 Knots is top tier in my summer rotation. So good!
I was eagerly waiting for this review!
I used this fragrance while on vacation to the Caribbean last year. The way it stays on the skin after being in the ocean, mixed with the salt water is so nice. But can also be worn year round. One of my favorites.
Fell in love with this scent, completely.
40 Knots is in my Top 3 fragrances of all time
what are other 2 ?
Thanks Aaron for this review. I've 40 knots and I enjoy wearing it, but in fact I've enjoyed a lot learning about its different facets paying attention to your great explanations. See you soon!
Class is in session. We appreciate you. Loved the review. Summer staple for me.
Love your stuff man! Please do Narcotic Delight by Initio!
Greattt review 😊thanks AARON ❤
Finally I was wondering when you’d review this one
One of the best Xerjoff’s on my skin! Thanks for the review Aaron! ❤
Could you review torino 21🥺😍?
Great video as always. Would be curious to hear your thoughts on some stuff from the brand "Mind Games".
Just got mine 2 weeks ago. Very different but full of quality..one of my favorites as well. To me it is a masterpiece… as I believe Xerjoff made it smell just the way it should.. this was not an attempt but a completion of a goal.. an achievement. Aaron, love your reviews as you are so different and are not afraid to be so.. very intelligent review and educational. Please keep them coming as you (as far as I know) are the only perfumer reviewing fragrances so we get a different view.. a more precise breakdown of what we have/want.
I've been waiting so long for this review
Would love a video on fragrances you like to wear in high heat given your scent preferences for personal wear!!
Love your work Aaron, when does the secret 'W' come out, its gorgeous
Always been quite interested in this one.
Great review! Very informative and pleasant listening to you explain things so passionately.
Please do a review on Nishane: Afrika-Olifant.
It’s and oriental animalic oud. It also contains thibetone and I would like to learn more about it.
40 Knots is freaking gorgeous. Thanks for the review, Aaron!
I think you're a nice person. Thanks for your insights.
I love 40 Knots so much, without doubt my favourite! 🥰
How would you describe it?
@@bluemystic7501Smells like if Nivea cream was made by Xerjoff
It is good but it is little feminine in a good way but I still don't know why they named it that
@@bluemystic7501Salty, sweet marine fragrance
@@bluemystic7501 Too powdery, definitely not safe to blind-buy. 😱
Love 40 Knots! At first was ok but after few wears, can’t live without it!
You should try Renaissance if you want a citrus Xerjoff fragrance
I love 40 Knots. One of my favorite Xerjoffs. Excellent Spring/Fall scent. It can be a bit much on a hot summer day though.
I had a bad experience in the sea when I was a child where I thought I was going to drown, I still remember it decades later.
I'm not afraid of water but then I have absolutely no fear of dying 😇
First like and comment. Love your content 🙂
Glad we finally have it reviewed! Interrestingly, I have the same exact opinion, I appreciate it so much and can see the craftsmanship, skill and quality materials yet it's not my taste! Love it but can't wear it that much :)
It’s super versatile and lovely ❤!!
I love your reviews Aaron! Would you do a review on Bond no 9?
Would be interesting to see a comparison between B#9 Chez Bond and Creed Green Irish Tweed, I always hear people say they're the same thing but aside from having the same overall DNA, they're not the same thing at all, especially as they dry down.
Really hoping you love this. One of my top 5
I am not the biggest fan of the opening but I love the dry down one of my favourite warm weather fragrances
I really love your content and I would love to see some "Simone Andreoli" like "Malibu - Party in the Bay" or some "Matiere Premiere" with "Flacon Leather, Crystal Saffron or Radical Rose"...
Cheers 🧚🏻♂️
Friends of Arron must truely love when he says “not for me”. Ahh, Arron, could I borrow the 40 knots fragrance please.?
I would like to hear your thoughts on Lorenzo Pazzaglia’s “Black Sea” . It’s very similar to 40 Knots with some similarities to Orto Parisi’s “Megamare” as well. Also “Sex Sea” , “Dream Sea” and “Artik Sea” from Pazzaglia are worth checking out. I’ve recently discovered that brand and they are really good and the prices are not expensive either.
When I first tried this i was a little underwhelmed but wearing for a few days it’s a wow from me , it’s classy , a top Xerjoff must have.
This fragrance is very unique and somehow it works. Aquatic and powdery/ambery at the same time. Really beautiful honestly
Wearing Xerjoff/Casamorati Mefisto today. 40 Knots is on my to-buy list.
One of my favourite fragrances!
Please do a review on Amouage - Overture. It's my number 1 fragrance at the minute, and i'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
I just love XERJOFF a lot, they have many beautiful fragrances in their lineup! 🧿
40 Knots is a Love and Hate Fragrance for me personally…
On the One hand I love this salty, breezy, honey-like feeling
but in the other hand the metallic aspect can be quite overwhelming at times.
It’s a brilliant fragrance, I still am just not sure wether I enjoy the scent enough to actually wear it :D
That’s where I’m at with it. It’s a nice scent but never wore it
@@jaypohl9651 I get that! The thing is that it actually remind me of Dior’s Ambre Nuit in a way, which I find absolutely great, although I wasn’t too happy with its performance;
but with a salty, slightly metallic twist to it.
God news, there is so much more beauty out there in the perfume world 😍🧿
Gosh, he really knows the chemistry behind it. The only way is every describe a perfume is either or "smells nive or not" lol
When I first tried it, it reminded me of olive brine. Which I oddly loved. One of my favorites
Hi Dear Aaron ❣️ Any Chance You Can Review Xerjoff Torino 21 Please 🙏
Great review Aaron. My brain somehow can't accept this fragrance as a "blue" scent. Maybe because I also expect more citruses in a blue fragrance and this one just does not have it. So far I agree with every Xerjoff fragrance review you made and this one is no exception. It is Xerjoff quality and I understand some people like it, but it is totally not for me. Hopefully Ivory Route and Mefisto will get your attention soon.
He called Fragrantica a cesspit!! 😂🤣 I love to hear it.
If you ever visit one of the Xerjoff boutiques in Italy (or Monaco), try their exclusive one called 40 Noeuds - it's a beautiful take on 40 Knots with an added rose! Amazing evening fragrance.
Wow...
Fragrantica is a seas pit 😂😂 that got me 😂😂!! So true
Cess
My fav Xerjoff!
This and Monkey special!
@@tombourque7726 True that!
@@tombourque7726 So Far Same Here with those two
If you haven’t already I’d love to hear your thoughts on Torino 22
I would love to hear your opinion on Prin perfumes 😌
Torino21 as the next fragrance!!!
40 knots is definitely one of my favorites.
Aaron doesn’t like his blue with any green in them. For me personally this is the consummate “what are you wearing?” scent. I love it and I get compliments from both genders.
stating that it doesnt have calone makes me want to try it ... hate the stuff. Not sure I would love it but will keep an eye out for a decant.
Does it smell like Johnson baby powder (it’s a nostalgic smell for me)? I’ve heard it does
Can you review Polo Red Edt? I find it is really nice and quite slept on
i ordered a 50ml bottle 2 days ago!! can't wait to try it
How much did u pay for it?
Waiting for the Mefisto review
This is in my top 5 and will be there till i die
Can you review xerjoff mefisto gentiluomo, im debating on getting 40 knots or mefisto
40 knots was why i got in to collecting parfume i just adore the smell :)
small caveat: 40 knots's drydown smells like baby wipes/diapers in the most realistic way. Please try before buy. In fact, never blindbuy.
Alexandria Fragrances' Smooth Sailing is very, very close to 40K. I'm not a fan of all of their work, but that one nails it.
Such a quality perfume and line but man all i pick up is baby wipes
I’m a female and wear this all the time. This is my most complimented fragrance, which is quite a surprise as I have 300+ bottles
One of the best fragrances of all time!
I adore 40 Knots. Easily my favorite fragrance that I own.
My favorite Xerjoff fragrance
40 knots is nothing less than amazing. I love love love it. The only fragrance for which I bought a backup bottle
I used to think that the "coca cola"-vibe that Roja Enigma has, was a somewhat unique blend. Then I smell the same thing in 40 knots.
ATH most of your frags are sold out here in the states. Do you plan on a restock?
DS&Durga Amber Kiso reviews next.....
Can’t decide if I like this fragrance or hate it. The performance is great, but that wax candle scent in the opening is throwing me off. Once that note dissipates it turns into a very enjoyable scent.
40 knots is in my top three xerjoffs. it’s just such a great year around clean scent.
What’s your top 3 just curious ….
@@teejayandrade_22 i have not smelled all of xerjoff but from what i have smelled 40 knots is 3, toni iommi money special is probably 2, and la capitale is 1. it’s changes all the time tho so that’s just as of right now.
Torino 21 next!
We need a torino 21 review
40 Knots is in my top 3 for my husband. Excellent quality, excellent longevity and projection. It's very gentlemanly and approachable. (Golden Retriever boy vibes.) It's youthful without being immature.
May I ask what's the other 2?
@user-wf4nl2yy8x Hacivat (Idk why, but it makes me think of Indiana Jones, and that's always a good thing,) and Pegasus Exclusif. That one wears almost like a gourmand on him, with the almond, vanilla, and sandalwood becoming prominent in the drydown, but it's sooo yummy in the best way. It would work at a fall/winter black tie event. It's creamy and posh.
Seguo
I just got back from 2 week vacation in the Caribbean, and all i brought was Xerjoff. Torino 21, 40 Knots and Mefisto. I was covered.
*Edit I brought a 5ml of Beach Hut Man. I was in the rainforest and got a compliment from a local. It was the only compliment I got, besides from people I knew. Almost forgot. Fun times. Back to work tomorrow unfortunately😢
Oddly enough I was looking at this the other day and couldn't decide on it
Isn't linalool the main terpene in lavender?
Please can you make a review about apollonia by xerjoff?
I don't know which one to go with uden or 40 knots. 40 knots is a little feminine on the drydown
Who has tried torino 22? And what’s your thoughts??
Hey Aaron it's imposible to find your fragrance in canada. I'm a huge fan of ur reviewing style and knowledge and wanted to try ur fragrance, Any suggestions how I could get my hands on them?
I second this. I really want to get my nose on some of your work🦄 Maxaroma seems to always be out of stock 😢
Aaron please do Overture Man by Amouage.
40 knots is extremely powdery if you love powdery fragrance by all means. I do love ambre nuit it’s in the same realm
i'm the same. I'm terrified of the sea. When I was 12 years old I went a long way out to sea, in the Mediterranean with a friend on a padalo, & really needed to pee. So I jumped off into the sea, but in my hurry to pee I forgot to breathe in first & I just kept going down. The water was really clear back then & ,as I struggled to get back to the surface, a huge creature bumped its nose on me & then swam past me, brushing its massive body against my torso, from head to tail, in a display of dominance. when I got to the surface my friend in the padalo said it was a huge shark & he was sure I was gonna be eaten in front of him. It was definitely a shark, but I'm pretty sure it was just a gentle Basking Shark (judging from the enormous size). Whatever it was, it scared the bejesus out of me & I've not been in the sea since, I even still get anxiety attacks when I see the sea on TV.,,,,,,, Having said all that, I do really love 40 Knots. I also adore Dior's Ambre Nuit which is very similar.
One of my problems is I'm allergic to cedar. So when I bought this it was a no-go for me. There's a very deep rich Coca-Cola note here with the woods that reminds me of my grandfather's wood shop which is a really nice thing. The problem everyone should know and I heard this from someone else and once I heard it it made so much sense. After the first hour to 2 hour wearing this you will wish you didn't smell like it anymore. This fragrance is straight up exhausting and the fact that it lasts as long as it does into the next day is even more annoying it's great for the first hour or two then you're just like okay I don't want to smell like this anymore. That's 40 knots. But do not blind by this, because when you think clean fresh you almost think something maybe more sporty but this it does remind me of the docs or a wood shop but it's very overpowering and it's borderline offensive. This will not be mass appealing and you have to really like this to buy a bottle. Trust me when I say get a sample
Victory Elixir next please!
pound of sugar, pina colada, coconut rum and sand mixed with alcohol..there
Finally
The wife has found my 40 knotts and loves it for herself!
Thats my signature
You should be working as a salesperson with those hand motions!
Xeroff 40 knots is amazing
thalassophobia is a real thing i get uneasy sometimes too
Same for me, it's a good fragrance but not for me. It's too sweet and smooth for a summer fragrance and too bright for a colder weather fragrance. Also it's too synthetic for me, high quality but synthetic and i like my fragrances more natural.
