Of course there are Christians in The Netherlands, but the majority are not Christians no longer.
If it’s the half county is no religion and let’s just say around 10 is other’s. That means 30 -40 something% are chrstlers

Dank je wel voor een hele interessante aflevering jongens 😊 . I noticed Christmas in the Netherlands is not so extravagant as in the rest of the Europe (and I really love it). Last year I celebrated it with my friends in the Netherlands and in the Kerstmis avond we had a gourme 😁 .

Wow, it is so weird as an American hearing the Dutch speak. My kids were even laughing and saying they were shocked at how much they sound like Americans but speaking gibberish. A lot of inflections and cadence and tone is very similar. We don’t feel this way with other languages. Great video! Thank u!

Heel interessante interviews! It was great seeing how people responded honestly to your questions. To the two interviewers (Jeroen and Leon), how do you two celebrate Christmas? Do you personally attach particular values and/or religious beliefs to the holiday?
Hi! Thank you for the nice question. 😊 Leon says: "I celebrate Christmas together with both of my families since we have two Christmas days. I make a three-course menu together with my cousins. We cook that for the family. That is a lot of fun for us in the kitchen. For me, it's more about being with the family than the faith itself." and Jeroen says: "I celebrate it with friends, family and delicious food!"

I can understand not having a faith but being against speaks more to unresolved personal issues projected unto the christian faith. I wish those issue will get resolved.

Not just atheists, but all people that aren't Christian will probably say 'merry christmas' because that's what most people say. 'Fijne feestdagen' is also used a lot, which just translates to 'happy holidays' or 'happy festivities'.
