  • MAZDA HAVE FINALLY UPDATED THE MAZDA CX-5!!
    Well, a little anyway... It's been on sale now for quite a while, but with the CX-60, CX-70 and CX-90 being the main focus of Mazda these last few years, the Mazda CX-5 along with some other popular models - like the Mazda 3 and CX-3 - have received less love than they are used to.
    So should you buy this still very popular medium SUV? Is it the right family SUV for you? In today's review, I'll tell you everything that's changed, what's new - and what has been DELETED! Let's get into it!

    It's not 2 fuel tank readings... One is fuel and the other is range.

    • @mrz1281
      @mrz1281 Před 3 měsíci

      its still dumb by mazda to show the range as a fuel tank reading type of display though. misleading.

      @mrz1281 Anyone with half a brain knows what it is. Not misleading at all.

      It's dumb at first because it's misleading but after a while you get used to it and it's pretty good to have it like that. I have a CX5 for 5 years now and previously i had a Mazda 3, the clusters are very practical compared to the digital ones. Honestly i will buy a new CX5 in the spring with a little more power 😅 (from 165 to 194)

    @6:26 long press the brightness stick above the tachometer, you can change the stuff on the side to just digital readouts. Instead of the fuel gauge/range it becomes range and months till next service. I have the same instrument cluster in my Mazda 6 Atenza

    Mazda is an absolute beauty... Their line up much much better than Toyos Nissan, hyundai etc...
    I'm not sure why Mazda doesn't do too well in the Gulf region ( Oman, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain etc.....) even though they're Japanese like toyo and niss.

    If you value Driving Dynamics, the CX-5 is the obvious choice in the (price) segment. Looked at X3, GV70, and RDX but chose CX-5 Turbo for value. For some, Toyota, Honda, Koreans may be best fit (more bling bling etc), but not for an engaging drive.

    I drove the CX5 and the RAV4, ended uo buying the Sportage GT-Line Diesel. The CX5 was nice but I didnt like the infotainment interface with that click wheel and the tech felt a little lacking esp the dash cluster, Other than that it was a nice car to drive and the turbo is the way to go 100%

  • @GlowingTube

    This is ancient. I just compared the boot space and rear seat space and it is virtually identical to a T-Roc, that is how poorly the CX5 is packaged. Just buy a T-Roc CityLife, it is more compact outside , virtually the same size inside, has a better equipment list plus it's around $6K cheaper over the base 2.5 CX-5.
