Calling all Costco shoppers - there’s a mattress awaiting you in the bedding aisle. The Casper Select mattress is meant to be a similar version of the popular Casper Original, but is exclusively sold through Costco (so you can only get it with a Costco membership).
The all-foam Casper Select is designed to bring sleepers both support and pressure relief. But it takes a lot more than a Costco membership to know if it’s the right bed for you. To help out, I put it through a variety of tests, like seeing how it sleeps, what it’s made of, and more. I’ll also let you know which sleepers I think it’s best for, so by the end of this Casper Select mattress review, you’ll have a better idea of whether it’s a good bed for you.

No one ever talks about sex on a mattress review which is another important use for it.

How do you like it after a year?
We bought one this weekend for our son-- moving into his first apartment. In this review, it seemed the base had slats. When we opened-up the box for mattress and read directions, they advised that base should be solid (no gaps)... So we also purchased a box spring as the base we had was metal frame with slats. He has not officially moved-in to sleep on it (with Christmas holiday and him still being home).. In the set-up of this bed, they also advised against laying on the mattress until it fully expands- which can take some hours of time... Just some other items to be aware in case you go to buy it... We wish we would have known about the need to have it on flat surface frame/plywood/box spring--- But I am really curious how our son will like it... We have a nephew who has it at college and he loves it.
Does it have fiberglass?
What did these companies give you in exchange for your reviews? And yes they did.
Would you recommend using a topper with that mattress, or its not necessary?
Do you know why this Casper Select is cheaper than regular Casper original mattresses? Is this one lower in quality compared to getting it directly with Casper?
Not much of difference only extralay of mattress added onto the selection. Got my yesterday and the mattress is 👍
Edge Support is very important to me as, between my dog and cat, I’m only allowed about 6” of space on the edge to sleep. King, Queen, Full sized… makes no difference… I get 6” of space.
Are you going to review the new hybrid version of this mattress from costco?
I wish she would do this. I bought the hybrid thinking it would be best for my husband who is a stomach sleeper. But, it's really killing my back since I'm a side sleeper. It makes me wonder if I should have gone with this one that she mentions in the video.

I can see from your video that this mattress has a zipper. Does this act like a mattress cover or protector? Is it removable and washable?
It's removable and washable, but it is not a protector. It's what keeps everything together. I would highly recommend putting a waterproof cover on it and then your bedding.
I bought a Casper Select mattress from Costco recently, and love it. What I DON'T love is the company's lack of respect for unsubscribe requests from their barrage of marketing emails once you "register" your warranty! I've made three unsubscribe requests so far (and a phone request with one of their customer service reps), and they STILL have not stopped sending me marketing emails!!!

Create a junk email address just for that kind of stuff. An address that you don’t check very frequently.

What about the odor/smell issues on Costco reviews?
The odor is real. Mine has lasted for about a week. It's still going and I'm tempted to return it but I run the risk that the new one also smells. I've read that baking soda helps, just sprinkle some on top for about an hour and then brush off, make sure to not stain the bed or else you can't return. i haven't tried this yet but I will soon. I'll report back.
This thing traps heat like no other but no mention of it.
This mattress is NOTHING like the Casper Original; it is much, much firmer. If you buy this thinking that this is a facsimile of the Casper Original, you will be sorely disappointed. My wife and I bought it thinking that, and could not believe how much harder it was compared to the genuine Casper. Thanks to Costco's great return policy, we're returning it; we bought the genuine Casper and are very pleased with it.
I got this and although it feels good for a little while after a full night sleep my shoulders are hurting and my back too.
