been enjoying watching you do up your car man i have been watching everyone of them so far. its giving me some ideas for my car man. i think i might try one day to change my roof lining to something snazzy like yours lol so cool :D. it didnt look to hard to do. keep it up :)
Thats so awesome man I love hearing that. Glad you are enjoying the series and it has given you some insight and confidence to try it yourself. Be sure to ask any questions if you get stuck but hopefully the videos provided you with a starting point
i will do :). i have been slowly making my car my own than it looking standard. I have a Peugeot 206 which I love. my first car lol. Does not look like the car i brought when I first got it anymore :D. about 2 weeks ago i had to fix my bumper for the first time becouse a stupid badger jumped out at me and i had no chance to stop. I smashed right into it wrecked my new bumper i not long put on. Sadly after I repaired it. its started to crack again :(. I'm going to have to redo it sometime. But the repair would do for now as before it was completely messed up and looked a mess. but yer man i just need to find some material like the ones you had in your shop had some really cool ones. I'm not sure where in the UK sells material like that around here hopefully I can find something snazzy to make my car look awesome inside :D
o man thats nuts, yeah one time I hit a raccoon on the road that was already dead and it was 3 days before a car show. I had to fiberglass, bondo, and paint the bumper in a day ha. You could always do the zip tie stitch method and make it look like a drift car ha
You use thatâs new clothes for headliner. So did you remove old clothes or trim???
Lol
This guy is like the blippi for grown men into cars lol
Dude no joke, I had no idea who Blippi was until my freinds with kids kept saying I look like him. So I embraced it and for halloween put together a Blippi costume. I did a few personalized videos for kids birthdays too.
if you can to see đ€·ââïž drive.google.com/file/d/1x2rqwGalfghRClseDentkEYlXEZ-D-HT/view?usp=sharing
I was thinking the same thing. Thatâs hilarious. Idk if itâs so much the looks so much as the personality/way he carries himself. Either way I couldnât under it lol.
And women *
Can do my Chevy suburban the inside of it
Haha I love it
I canât believe I only just thought to look up how to make my own headliner, and this video got me SO excited to do it!! Your enthusiasm is contagious af đ
Hey Rachel glad you found the video. My car has come a long way since this video, but the headliner is still in there. Hope you get some inspiration from watching this. Feel free to check out one of my recent car videos
czcams.com/video/VV10X2rKWSk/video.html
A lot of the car builds I've been watching are all about building power or for the track or the stancy bois that lower their car, but it's people like you who show the diversity in the car community! Very informative and the kart build looks great! Keep up the good work!
thank you so much man, that means a lot. Yeah I was never good at the mechanical parts. I can change my own oil and some regular maintenance , but I'm all about the look of the car. I use to browse a ton of forums before youtube to learn how to fiberglass and make speaker boxes and what not. Kids now a days have it easy with so much info and how to videos online ha
Very cool. Love the result. Never take your Mom for granted. Nice of her to assistđđœ
thanks so much. And it's still holding up today
I came here for a van build tutorial and realized very late into this video that I've entered the Mario fandom side of CZcams đ€Ł
thanks for the visit. Yeah if you see the car now it certainly has a full Mario Kart theme to it. I'll be taking to to the Rad Wood car show this weekend to show it off as well
Lol it cracks me up how he just tossed the pieces onto the lawn and went for it. Iâm now no longer stressing about my headliner being a big job. Just gonna do it! đ
heck yeah, I was doing it the real low key DIY way lol. I wanted lots of room to work. Good luck on your project đđđ
Years later and this still is so useful! Thanks for sharing!
Much appreciate you checking it out. The headliner is still on my car and holding up great. There were a few spots where I laid it, it did not stick well like in the corners so I could these corkscrew clear thumb tack things. you basically push them up into your headliner and it holds it there, and the end of the head is clear so they blend well
Great video! Outlined everything perfectly. Going to be doing this on my ram 1500
thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it and got inspired to do your own
Literally used to see this car all the time. We live in the same town đ
O dope Marc thanks so much for stopping by. Yeah you can't really miss my car
Well, I was only searching for the best way to attach something to my headliner, but now I guess I'm going to beautify it first too.
lol ha, thanks so much. My car has certainly come a long way. headliner is still holding up good though
the car changed before my eyes great video man I was enjoying this so much and me not doing it but watching the final products looks amazing.
aww thank you so much, glad you appreciated the build. Be sure to check out other videos of the progress of the car. I will be putting a few out where I change out my steering wheel and customize my dashboard
can i use a thin fabric like a flag?
yes you can, I used vinly before, you just have to make sure you have a ton of glue coverage since it weighs more it will more likely have the chance to sag over time.
The other downside is when you put the head liner back in, it may be a tight fit in some areas
Great video! Glad I found it before tackling covering my headliner board (itâs already out), just wish Iâd watched before so i couldâve grabbed some plastic spray paint for my trim. But itâll be done soon. Going to work on my galaxy print headliner now! Thanks!
Excellent, glad you found the video helpful. Yeah I need to touch up some of my trim pieces too. OOO a galaxy print headliner sounds awesome.
Good Luck with the project. Feel free to tag me when you are done @russlyman
Love it mate đ love seeing ppl who not scared to just do stuff ! Hope you enjoy it, Keep 'er lit đ
thanks so much man. Yeah its still holding up and I've a few more things to the car since than. Got a full playlist on the channel of me just working on the car if your curious
Yes mate I'll check them out ! always watching car vids (specially modding of any kind) đ
WOW! you are really dedicated to Mario! i thought i had a lot of Mario stuff. Car looks great man
thanks so much, yes, make sure to check out some of the other Mario Kart builds, the car has come a long way since my headliner install, or follow me on instagram @russlyman, I just posted some photos. For Halloween I have a coffin on the roof rack
Crazy to see another Mario Interior. My project car is mario themed as well haha
@@mictlancoatl2745 dude that is sweet. You'll have to send me some photos or it on instagram or twitter or something @russlyman
this is awesome I love your tattoos and overall vibe. you seem very fun to be around
Dude thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed the video and my personality. I got lots of videos on the channel of me building the Mario Kart car, or retro game content as well
Thatâs a clean design
appreciate it, thanks so much
Love it brother
Appreciate it
Pretty epic!!
thanks for watching, it's still holding up to this day
Sick work bro. Custom job is a whammie.
thanks so much, glad you liked how it came out. Still doing work on the car, of course the modifications are never done ha
I totally dig the look. Iâm sure taking those panels off were super fun lol
thanks so much. I have more current photos on instagram @russlyman and some new videos on the channel as well. The headliner is still holding up. I took those panels on and off many times, owning the car since 2006 so It was an easy task đđ
Great job! Im so inspired now to do the headliner in my dodge caravan!
there you go. Glad I can help you with some confidence and inspiration to do your own
This dudes just out here living his best life đ Thatâs awesome
thanks so much Madison. The car has come a long way and the headliner is still holding up
I just got it ready for summer - czcams.com/video/4orEeWabEyA/video.html
Turned out really good. Great job !!! U made it look easy. Now I know where to go and wat to buy as for supplies. Awesome video
Thanks so much đ You got it Nick, glad you like the video and found it informative
This a good video...đđŸ
Thanks đŻ
I did this years ago for my Toyota...there wasn't any tutorials that really covered it...it worked out well but im thinking about doing that do my volvo
yeah when I started to get into car modifications I had to look towards forums with photos and try to comment and hope the person that posted the photos would respond with feedback and more tips on what to do.
Now its great with so many videos of people creating, it makes it a lot easier for beginners
Looks AWESOME! And, youâre a natural on camera! đđđŒ
Thank you Anthony, glad you enjoy it. I have lots more car videos and the headliner is still holding up to this day.

@@RussLyman how has the glue held up on your headliner?
That's wild, Russ. Really cool work - you make it look easy!
thanks so much, yeah well I def have the experience with the old car and doing friends cars ha, it starts to become second nature
awesome... im going to try using an 'oil cloth' table cloth, to spice up my old ART truck....
there you go and you save money on not having to get fabric
About to do this very soon. Drift Indy Street League is all about stylish cars doing stylish driving. Time to up my game.
Good video!
heck yeah man, changing out the headliner is a big change for the look and feel of your car, and a pretty easy mod. Just time consuming and narrowing down what fabric to pick
Like indy as in indianapolis?? Because i didnt think there was any around here. All my buddies go to shieds diesel extravaganza every year an all the truck meets but theres not really anyone who does anything with cars around me and im wanting to build my taurus so i think thatd be cool to go to to get some ideas
very cute, nice job.
Thank you! đ
My man is like the Blippi of the auto world
OMG yes ha. One of my friends was like you look just like Blippi, my kids watch him. I want to do a parody video for sure
Holy shit hahaha I didn't even think about that!! I like russ more hahaha
That liner looks great, wish I saw this when I had my PT Cruiser because I would have did that to my old car.
thank you so much, O man yeah this would look sweet in a PT Crusier, they have that hot rod vibe fore sure.
How much did this project cost you back then? I love this!
thanks so much Deanna, glad you like it. totally cost ? hmmm I would say about $50 with two cans of Super 77 glue, and the Fabric. And than just an afternoon of work
SUPER COOL VIDEOâŒïž
thanks so much for watching
Phenomenal
thanks so much
You have the coolest car everâïž
aww thanks so much. be sure to follow me on Instagram I have more pics on there @russlyman
Cool Bro. Good job.
thanks so much
My No.1 Best All Time Recording headliner video â€
much appreciated glad you liked the video
great stuff man!
thank you so much
Russ, I love your DIY videos and all the ideas and recommendations you offer to viewers. Great job and the MKART 3.0 is Looking Spectacular. Superb job. Hope work and everything is Going excellent your way. For me, all is going Good except ER life has been INSANE but, the life Saving is Always a Good thing of Course. Have a great day n fun Labor day weekend.
Thanks so much Bill, it sure it coming along great. I'm glad I can document the process and share it with everyone. Its fun to watch the playlist and see the car come together.
I bet its nuts in the ER, glad your dong good and keeping peoples lives safe. Have a great holiday weekend
Hey man thatâs a great idea car came out really good loved watching you go to the stores and get everything lol cause Iâm the same way and I think itâs fun going to stores for projects especially when the projects come out successfull
Thank you so much Ryjah, I never thought this video would blow up like it did ha. Yes I wanted to show all the steps, because a lot of people don't know where to get the fabric other than online. Even some Walmarts have fabric or Hobby Lobby.
Its been a while and the headliner is still holding up đ
I might have to go checker board..looks good! It's funny seeing you run to the shed lol
It certainly came out great but hard to make sure it was all lined up since the checkerboard pattern. Having just a plain fabric would make it an easier job
This is bad ass!
thank you so much. I got more DIY car stuff coming soon. Got a new steering wheel and custom dashboard
Car looks great Russ
thanks so much man, glad you are enjoying it. I haven't gotten to work on the scooter I kinda gave up after I took apart the carb twice. I might try buying a new carb to fix it. Sucks I would have been on that thing all summer
Well hopefully you get your scooter fixed but my scooters down right now itself and I'm trying to get mine fixed and it sucks not being able to ride
Good job
Thanks
Been kinda nervous to try this your video helped erase some of my doubt đ thanks!
thank you so much Daniel, glad you could find some inspiration from my video. Good luck with the project
This is my first video Iâve seen of yours and I think itâs SO COOL that youâre doing this to a scion xa. I have one but was actually watching this for my Subaru legacy. #sciongang
Hey thanks so much for checking it out. I actually just got a Subaru Impreza last year and did some work to it already. Hope this videos gives you some confidence to do your own.
Bro thatâs so creative I love it, keep up with the content
thanks so much glad you dig it
i plan on doing this with my car soon! do you have another tutorial on removing the roofing? iâm scared of unclipping the wrong things and hurting wires or something
This is a full on tutorial more of a VLog but its me taking out the headliner and you would follow similar steps
Usually any wires in the car are tucked away pretty good
czcams.com/video/DXF6hd8MIWg/video.html
Good video brother Iâm a big fan of JoAnns fabric about 15 years ago I bought a new walking foot sewing machine and started sewing car interiors and boat cushions for my personal projects to save money and learn something new btw you can save a lot of money buying bulk contact cemement and spraying it with a harbor freight 18 dollar paint gun and compressor it is not the correct gun but it will work if you thin the cement those guns are q18 bucks with the coupons easily found in most Harbor Freight ads in magazines and online itâs a paint gun hvlp Many guys use them and donât even clean them just throw them away I clean mine and they work for years spraying finishes I use btw I bought a Chinese clone sewing machine and it works great for a diy guy it looks like the Sairite machines that are two times the price mine has worked for 15 years as I got it with only routine maintenance like cleaning and oiling !
Great tip on the gun from Harbor Freight. I need to get a new compressor because mine just stopped working. Yeah that would be the way to go, the contact cement holds real nice.
Its been few years since I put this up and it only really sagged a tiny in the back corners. I bought some clear push pin things and that holds it back up and you can't see them. I'm happy with how it came out.
I have been doing plenty with the interior of the car and hope to finally hit some car shows in 2021. I did go to two Car Meets this year. you should check those out
Car Meet 1 - czcams.com/video/gi9pQ7gNMbc/video.html

your awsome man a real breath of fresh air ! u got skills and bless your mom u have inspired me to do the same
thanks so much Timothy glad you liked the build. The car has come a long way since this video.
Nice video thanks now I got some ideas for my car !
Glad you enjoyed it. The headliner is still holding up to this day. Glad I could inspire you
just found your channel. I'm looking to do the headliner in my car here really soon and this video came in very handy for me đŻ I just subscribed â„ïž I love your vids so far and can't wait to see what other great ideas that you have đ
thanks so much, glad this can give you some direction and inspiration
My favorite part of this car is the sun visors. đ
thanks so much man. those are just some vinyl stickers I got made to fit the visors
So cool!! I want to do this with my 2010 corolla but i'm not sure since it's permanent...
yeah it would be hard to reverse this, since you need to glue it.
Glad you enjoyed the video though
Thank you, This was very helpful!
You're welcome! Glad you liked it
Thanks for the video! I like ur car ur theme kicks ass on mine lol please keep uploading. Ur moms invited too we like her lol such a good helper!! :)
I have a steering wheel instal coming in a few weeks. Waiting for some fabric that matches my seats to cover the steering column in. I'll see if mom wants to help ha
@@RussLyman hahaha awesome thanks so much you're funny!! Your cameras color is really good too what kind is it??!
I love the pattern you chose for your headliner đ„° it really makes a statement! #Love the MâąKart
Also may I ask how long did it take you to complete your headliner?
thank yes I figured it tied it vary well. I didnt want to just use a Mario fabric just because it had Mario on it. This fit that it was a Mario Kart. It took a few hours between taking the interior parts out and then glueing the headliner in and putting it back in the car. Maybe 3-4 hours
Be sure to check out my newest video, I show off my custom Blue Shell cargo carrier
FYI tip , you should clean all the trim with tsp before painting , incase you have any grease or silicone from dash protection
Thanks for the top Steve. Never used TSP before. I assume its like a wax and grease remover??
@@RussLyman itâs a very good pre-cleaner for painting .
Did you prep the headliner and sunroof shade by first removing the existing headliner and also removing the foam beneath it to expose the raw fiberglass; or did you simply glue your new material on top of the existing foam and headliner?
That could certainly be an option of the old headliner is falling apart. I choose to skip that step and I just applied the glue straight to the existing fabric of the old headliner.
The fabric is still on there today, holding up well 4 years later
This came out really good! Can't wait to see it at RetroWorldExpo!
heck yeah NintenJoe. I hope I can get my graphic in time too ha. Its going to be close
You can dooo eeeeeeeet!
Love the car! Just followed you on insta, about to do my headlining and come across this it's the only vid I've seen where someone didn't remove the original lining I'm hoping to do the same depending on the thickness of my fabric when it arrives in a few hours đ
thanks so much. Yes every feels you need to remove the stock fabric stuff on there, but if its not falling out, no real reason. This video is a few years old and the headliner is still holding up. It certainly does depending not he thickness of the new fabric you are using. Although I have used vinyl before that looks like leather and that was a lot thicker than this and it worked.
Will that 77 glue bleed through the material if you put to much. Currently redoing my square body suburban headliner. Great video
i used a pretty thin fabric and it was good. it dries up to a sticky substance, so its not like regular glue, but you want both surfaces to have the glue because it will stick to itself. Hope that helps
that is super dope!
glad you liked how it turned out. Still holding up today too
Dupli color vinyl and fabric paint works great on interior plastics
yes I used them in the past for other projects as well. Good stuff. Thanks for watching
Cool but those NES remote sun visors are badass!
Dude thank you so much. Such a fun idea. When you have them down and people look in the car and see them its a fun easter egg
That looks awesome glad I clicked on your video was thinking of doing this to 2 of my rigs now to go to Joanns and get some fabric
yeah this video has been getting some real traction. Hopefully it helps inspire some people to try to do it themselves. Its still on the car, I changed the outside of the car some but the interior is about the same, not sagging either
How well does the spray adhesive hold up in heat? I live in Texas so my car gets ridiculously hot in the summer
that I don't know. I live in CT and the headliner is still up on my car and its been like 5 years since I did this. As long as you spray it on both surfaces I think it will be fine
All I could think of was grass stains possibly happening đđ they look great man!
lol ughhh I know. thinking back probably shouldn't have used the grass ha. But I didnt have a drop cloth handy that day to lay down in the driveway. Glad it still came out good
This was bad a$$! I can't wait to do my Volkswagen beetle ...nice!
thanks so much Kimberlea. Nice are you going to do checkerboard in there?? I've seen some dope VW with plaid headliners
this is exactly what iâm watching this vid for !! i want to do this to my bug so bad !
Same, need to figure out how to get the head liner and sun roof cover out of the car first đŹ
I like how he just put the new fabric right over the old đ
I mean you certainly can take off that stock fabric but it wasn't coming down and I didnt see a reason too. It's been 4 years and the headliner is still on there and not falling down, so I did something right đ€·ââïž
Great video đđ»
Thanks so much for watching Sarah, glad you liked it
What's the name of the fabric you used, and what kind of backing should b on the fabric 2 apply adhesive glue 3M 11 your using
Hi, the fabric was just regular fabric from the store đ€·ââïž I dont think it has a certain name. this was lightweight, but I have used vinyl fabric in the passed and it held up. Most of the fabric at the fabric store with patterns on it, is this style of fabric.
It had no backing on this one, I know some of them do. You just have to remember if it has backing, it will make the fabric thicker, making it harder to fit back in, and get your handles through the holes and what not.
Yes I used the 3M 77 or 90 will work great for this. Spray to both the fabric and the headliner and let them dry before sticking them together for a tighter bond
Awesome video watching from Australia definitely will have to do that to my headliner in my Hothouse Green VY Commodore, this weekend
dude awesome, hey Australia, you must also watch Might Car Mods ? I hope your project turns out well
Wow and you did that on grass?! Good job looks good
lol yeah I didnt have a big enough bench and figured I didnt want to use the driveway đ€·ââïž but turned out ok and still holding up today
Excellent.
Many thanks!
Hey man nice work, just a question, did you remove the original oem fabric before you layer this new fabric down? Or just did it over top of it?
since it was still good I just went right over the top of it. This car is from 2005 so it wasn't too bad, but I seen cars with headliners the the OEM one is falling off.
If thats the case I would get like a wire brush or stiff brush and try to get all that off until you are down to the foam part
Enjoyed your vided. but please use some PPE when using spray paint, I want you to be around for a long time
thanks so much for checkin the video out. Yeah I have since picked up one of those respirators with the filters on the side
I would love to do that with a wool blanket. It would give it that added texture. Thanks for the motivation.
yeah man they have tons of fabric chooses at Joann's, or Hobby Lobby. Or even online. Glad you enjoyed the video
You should post more of your videos on fb ,, this video is awesome!!!!
thank you so much. I have a few videos of me working on the car and other DIY. I usually just post a link on facebook but I can upload a few to my page to see if they get traction
Only problem don't use regular spray paint for vinyl it'll flake off with in a few weeks.
So far everything is still on the car 3 years later that I have done on the car. It's certainly all about the prep work in getting paint to stick.
Thanks, it never occurred to me I can change the headliner with a fabric of my choice.
yeah it adds such a great upgrade to the interior and you get to add that "you" touch depending on the fabric you choose
wild checkerboard!!!!! but nicely done
yeah it really plays with your eyes staring at it ha
I'll be doing this soon, my liner fabric is hanging, and the part by my sun visor flaps around and dust comes out. Today a bunch went in my eye, I had to pull over for a few minutes cause I could barely see, then I ripped the rest of that crap out. I'm debating taking the headliner out or just do it all inside the car
Yeah when it becomes a hazard its time to fix it.
fire !!
heck yeah, glad you enjoy it
This is awesome!!!!!
thank you so much. Still holding up good today. I have more mods to do to the car as well. Starting the dashboard this week
Hey does it really matter what kind of fabric is used?
well just know that the thicker your fabric is, the harder it will be to fit the headliner back in. You have to get those handles and the sunvisors through it so the thickness can cause issues if it is too thick
did you remove the old fabric or just glue the new on top?
No I did not. I sprayed the glue right on-top of the existing fabric. If yours is failing off you could take a wire brush to those parts and clean it up a bit before you spray the glue on it
Very cool
thank you so much
Had many thoughts of this but did you prep the liner by removing the oem material first or did you just adhesive over it
Thanks for your question. My originally headliner was in good shape, so I just added the glue straight to that. My headliner wasn't really made up of fabric but more of like a material.
If that was failing and coming off you could take a wire brush to take it all off to have a fresh new surface to work with.
The headliner is still holding up in my car today and no sagging
Iâm replacing my headliner for my beetle, whatâs the best way to get the sun roof shutter out?
I'm not sure what the sun roof shutter is?? this one had a sun roof in it and I just took out the necessary screws to drop that cover part
How has this held up? Alot of videos say to rip off the original material but I was thinking of runnin it how you are, jus laying the new fabric over the headliner as is. Plus my headliner is like new, no bubbles or sagging.
Would appreciate a reply to hear how this is holding up! Thanks!
Hey thanks so much for checking out the video. The headliner is still holding up to this day.
if your material on the headliner is falling off, than I would recommend removing it with a wire brush some. Mine was not coming off and I would say it's not even really fabric on the stock headliner on this car. It's almost like a Faux.
So you should be good with a new headliner.
Spray the Super 77 onto your fabric and onto your headliner and wait 10 mins before trying to attach them together. it gives it a more permanent bond.
I did half at a time and it helps if you have someone help you with the process.
hope this helps and good luck
@@RussLyman so if I understand correctly you only sprayed the headliner and then let it tack for ten minutes? You didn't also spray the checkered fabric and let it tack? Jus the 77 to the headliner then after ten minutes press the new fabric over it, correct?
Thanks for the help, about to install some velvet on the roof, so hyped
Iâm thinking of putting a black and white American flag in my 2014 Mini Countryman.. is it best to spray straight on to the existing headliner o is that something that needs to be taken off
it depends on the condition of the existing headliner. As you can see in mine, mine was still in pretty great shape so I just spray the adhesive on that and the fabric. Also mine wasn't really "Fabric" on the stock headliner. If I wanted to take it off I'd have to use like a bristle brush. if you can see your material sagging in any spots you need to take it all off, and than probably use that bristle brush to get anything else off so you have a nice fresh place to spray the glue and to stick the new fabric too.
Hope this helps, good luck with the project
Good Job! Betcha got high from all that spray glue - lol
thanks, still holding up to this day. Well I did choose to do it outside with lots of ventilation
You out the adhesive right over the old roof fabric?! How did that hold up long term? I figured youâd have to remove that fabric first
Great question, you can certainly do that. I seen people use like a wire brush and take it off. I would def recommend that if the original one was falling apart, and parts of it was like crumbling off. Since it was in good shape and I was using thin fabric I saw no reason to take it off. I'll have a few more DIY videos with the car coming out this month and you can see in them the headliner is still holding up fine
Good Job !
thanks so much David, glad you liked the outcome
I'm pretty sure I seen your car in Milford CT.If so I need help with my headliner as I am 10 min away.Is your car fully painted with a mario theme?
Yeah I work at Costco, so often times you will see me driving around that area. I don't work other peoples cars though. My time is pretty limited with 40 hour work week and than making 3 youtube videos a week, that goes into filming and editing. So having extra time to take on other peoples projects unfortunately is not in the cards.
I try to make the videos to give people a better understanding or confidence that they can do it themselves.
Perhaps if we catch each other at a car meet or something
@@RussLyman That's cool I understand. Btw I am a huge gamer and maybe youd be interested in some things I have.Im trying to finish my project car so unfortunately I have to sacrifice.Anyways,I appreciate the fast response.
I don't have the headliner panel im wondering if I just scuff up the paint and glue it right onto the metal?
probably don't even need to scuff up the paint. the glue sticks to it self so as long as you spray glue on the metal and then glue also on the fabric.
