You can actually get an adapter for the public car charging stations for plugging in standard socket chargers for ebikes and stuff.

Maybe I'm wrong, but at 10:00 I think you had the left brake pressed a little and is why it wouldn't take off.
They speedometer is off on speed because your wheel size in the app is wrong. Adjust that and it will fix it.

Here's part of the reply from a conversation I've been having with Solar customer support. Seems like the production version will be even better!
The bike has been upgraded from parts, quality and overall specifications.
The bike has a new more powerful 400a controller for better torque and top speed, a new quieter chain, new foot pegs and grips, the bike shutting off was for a very small number of bikes which has been rectified.
There is also a first on any electric bike a dedicated regen brake, the regen brake is not activated using the handbrake but has its own dedicated thumb control. This vastly improves braking and highly benefits the battery to be charged when using. Plus saves your brake pads.
The app which controls the performance, sport or eco mode, as well as torque settings have all been updated also, the iPhone app is currently in the works and will be ready in a couple of months, the android app is ready. With the app you would only need to change settings if you want to increase torque and top speed.
The E-Clipse version 2 will not disappoint.

I HAD THE SOLAR ECLIPSE 2.0 AND SUVKED SO MUCH I SOLD IT AFTER A WEEK ON FAVEBOOK MARKETPLACE!!
HERES MY REVIEW OF THE 2.0 THAT STILL DISAPPOINTS!
The power cutting out, glitchy display, and delayed throttle did the exact same thing as mine! I had this Solar Eclipse 2.0 for 2 weeks and HATED it! I wound up selling it on FB Marketplace and lost $600 because they do NOT take back ANY Opened Returns for ANY Reason! I had issues since Day 1 and they wont even talk to you the phone they make you send emailes and photos back and forth and they respond with and email and photos of things to try wasting countless hours with the piece of crap! They say it's Carbon Fiber but it looked like Black Plastic that scratches and dents so easily.
The Bikes Supension was Awful, it gave zero support and after 15 mubites of riding it my Ass was killing me!
Another issue is how cheap the components look that go on the handle bar ,( buttons for and controls,) ,, they look like they belong on a kids toy! This thing is has ZERO Quality and I guarantee younifni saw those bike before I bought it, I would have NEVER PURCHASED IT! MAYBE this is why the RETURN policy is if you change your kindly BEFORE getting shipped, you STILL HAVE TO PAY the merchant fee. If the bikenis SHIPPED AND ON ITS WAY and you want to Cancel, you have to pay a 25% restocking Fee, Merchant Charges and shipping for BOTH way (even though shipping is free but not if Returning it). Also it CAN NOT BE OPENED AND NO USED BIKES CAN BE RETURNED. I WOULD HABE Paid $2500 to CANCEL my bike.
I'm lucky I found a typical E-biker to BUY IT after 2 weeks, that cares only about top speed, motor and battery and nothing else. It was the worse ebike ive ever owner, it rattles, power cuts out, throttle is jerky. It's long wheel base makes it feel big and awkward and dangerous, and the Motor is warrantied for LIFE against any physical damage because Solar knows it will be knocked off and hurt someone, and it sickens me they don't try to figure out a bash guard to protect it.
I wouldn't take it even as a GIFT... such a POS! They need to Burn it and close up shop!💯

is the power cut off a problem because of the kickstand sensor?? if so can disabling it make this problem go away. thats my one concern with this bike.

The brakes likely need to be adjusted, even tho the regen wasnt functioning it should still be stopping faster than that.

yeah if i tried to ride this in northern europe it would end up sucking mud and rain water into the bike. not a good design tbh for people outside of very dry areas.

Why do you want to change to street tires? For instance, the standard knobby dirt bike tires seem to be the safest, especially for enhanced performance and stability.

30mph is fast enough for a bicycle lol. Mine goes 35-40 it's a 1500w rear hub

That guy nearly died on camera with those novelty brakes. Bikes like this are simply dangerous putting speed above safety and will put a black eye on the industry.

I'm 6-1, 285 lbs and whipin around on the Talaria MX4. Holds my weight and I can also hit 50+mph!! No regrets on this purchase!!!

But others note correctly that this is far more a dirt bike. I still have MX gear, but that definitely defeats the purpose of flying under the radar of the local constabulary. My surron raises eyebrows parked outside my watering hole and it still is more bike-like.

If you stay flat out you'll get maybe 15 miles adult 200Lbs ,stretch it out cruising to 35 ,depends on how many Amp Hours battery 🔋

im pretty sure solar ISN'T telling you a ALOT about this bike ..for example ..there is an exact duplicate of this bike out there , called the velimotor vmx-08 the specs and appearance vary only slightly ..the vmx however has been out for a least 6 months to a year longer , that i'm aware of , ....i't a chinese import . that can be purchased here at Epowersports a company out of las vegas , the owner has a you tube channel and could tell you more ... probably more than eclipse can ...lol
the eclipse is another attempt at some random company trying capitalize on a chinese product by altering it's looks and offering a few engine tweaks and re branding it as the own .. kinda like the old segway / sur ron debacle.
if i were you i'd look into the original chinese company's products , like segway you'll probably find a slightly better product hiding out there in plain sight

It's an Emoped, not an Ebike. Emopeds have to be licensed here and are illegal on city park trails! I have 2 - 30mph folding class 3 bikes that I ride all over city parks w/o getting the $500 fine.. (both under $1K)
These types of electric bikes are cool but at these prices I don't understand why you wouldn't just get a ice motorcycle/dirtbike for more power/durability
