I did something like this for a friend I have known my whole life. He was still rocking an FX 6300 GTX 970 build with only 8gb of ram. He's helped me in life so many times. So over the last month or so I built him a new PC without him knowing. Heres all of the specs for if anyone wants to know them. Strix B550-F MB, Ryzen 9 5900X, Lian Li Galahad 360 AIO, 32gb of Trident Z Neo 3600 speed, Samsung 970 2tb boot driver and an MX500 1TB, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra 10g, SuperNOVA GA 850W 80+ gold fully modular PSU, fans are all Uni SL 140s in a P500A case. He didn't wanna take it at 1st but I just reminded him of all the stuff he's helped me out with over the last 20 years. I was homeless one time and without even hesitating he let me stay with him for a few months till I got back on my feet and in my eyes, a 2500$ or so PC still doesn't come close to paying him back for all the stuff he's done for me.

I kinda the same thing! my sister growing up loved Pc gaming (runescape) and i built a 3060 build with a 5600x cpu. I just got my hands on a 5800x and a 3070 and was working on my build in my kitchen long story short my sister stayed playing Tomb raider for 3 hours and had asked if she could come back while i was at work and play so she can get further in the story. I booted up my new build and had it working. I was planning to use both computers to stream but i ended up just using my new build. The hour she left i was packing up the PC and headed to her house to connect it. We now play once and awhile and we talk a lot more now kinda sweet to be able to bring my two worlds into one. She now just plays story games but its okay. I had to tell 5 people the pc was no longer available on marketplace but honestly giving someone something for free and seeing their face its worth it. now when the 4000 series comes in im going to give my sister my 3070 build and see the 3060 build to have enough for a gpu lol
