Of course Alessio is into the Statue of Liberty, the statue was a gift to the US from France after all! 🤪Knowledge of languages is the doorway to wisdom, comrades. To have another language is to possess another soul. Learning other languages is how we open up as people. It's how we grow as better people. Language is the road map of a culture. And by learning another language, you open the door to the world of that culture.
The Statue of liberty Donated by France to the USA is a copy of a statue located on the Cathedral of Milan,Italy 🙂
@@stefaniasassi433 nope the woman is based on the seal of France, Marianne with odes to Roman goddess of freedom libertas
I smiled this whole video. I vote for more of this content!
we are happy you like it
It’s so hard trying to speak a foreign language for that length of time when you still haven’t grasped everything yet. I remember getting a headache and just feeling exhausted which is exactly how Jesse looked. Her Italian is very good. She’s doing very well in such a short amount of time.
yes she is, Jessi is a smart young lady
As a daughter of a fluent French speaker, I learned a lot from this video! French and Italian are similar. I was very impressed with your speech, Jessi.
Oh wow, I’ve never heard you guys speaking Italian before! That was AWESOME 😁👍 You should do it more often ❤🥰
The Lego store you went to on Fifth Ave has been in that specific spot since June 2021! The Lego store I grew up going to in that area was in Rockefeller Center proper and opened in 2010. They moved from there to this spot because they wanted more space. Don't be shy to get your own Lego set, Alessio! Lego is for ALL ages, after all! There are even Lego sets of football stadiums!
I love when I can understand certain Italian words without reading the subtitles because they’re similar in Spanish. Bathroom in Spanish for example is baño, and when is cuando! Although still different languages, it is nice when languages have things in common. Because it’s not only a bit easier, but also it makes one understand about the origins of languages and how they evolved overtime. I love learning multiple languages because to me, it makes me better appreciate the world surrounding us.
I’m 36 and got legos for Christmas! The Lego NYC skyline actually!
we love always your comments ❤️
Seriously impressive! Well done. And well done to Alessio for how well you communicate in English, I never really thought about how much effort it must be.
Jessi - you did pretty well with speaking so much Italian during that day! My Italian husband would only speak Italian with me and still won't speak English with me after 25 years of knowing each other. LOL -- he always says that my now fluent Italian is way better than his English skills. Living in Italy and having to use Italian every day in every situation did help the spoken Italian skyrocket (I already had my B.A. in Italian/French). Y'all are so fun to watch. Thanks for making all these videos!! Very nostalgic.
Interesting
Alessio is such a lovely, cheerful, heart warming person i wish i had an italian husband like him....ur so lucky to have him
Thanks for the beautiful words you had for US . We are Simply people but...family and affects... Mean so much❤
This is great! I’m trying to learn Italian on the Duolingo app but this is much more helpful 🤗
I love Italian ❤️ such a beautiful language. I should start learning it!
As an italian..thanks so much
I'm learning Italian all on my own. Jessie you're lucky to live with a native speaker! For the first 2 years i was learning the language I never even encountered a single Italian! So I was proud to get a few compliments on my Italian when I visited Italy in October. Especially in the South it seems like the locals really get a kick out of an American speaking their language.
I think people who live outside the USA just appreciate it when stereotypically Americans are loud, ignorant, and rude, and then they see an American TRYING to learn the language and understanding that not everybody speaks English. At my old job, I was the only employee who spoke VERY LITTLE Spanish (I can understand most of what I hear but it's hard for me to respond in Spanish), and we had a woman from Brazil who would come in maybe a few times a month, and of course she spoke Portuguese (which I don't speak AT ALL), but she and I got to talking and somehow through my broken Spanish and her perfect Portuguese (which I was surprised at how many words they have in common!) We always got the job done, and she always thanked me for trying. She only ever shopped with me bc I was the only employee who would take the time, look up translations and work with her not speaking English (which she spoke very little of). It was always fun to talk to her.
I’m trying to relearn Italian, but it’s definitely easier I feel to pick it up when you’re there; and if you have someone who can translate in English to Italian or said language to Italian an vice versa.
@@u140550 definitely is! At the end of each day in Italy, my brain was buzzing, could feel it reorganizing itself, starting to think in Italian.
I recommend watching Italian CZcamsrs if you can't be around native speakers in person. Allows you to learn the language in a more natural way, while not feeling like you're taking some academic course. I like Giovanni Fois for food content, Nicolò Balini and Stepsover for travel vlog. But key is to find someone covering topics you're already interested in.
@@avonlave sure, but I feel it doesn’t beat a physical native speaker. It’s the same way when I speak a bit of Tagalog as I’m Asian, and i understand; but can barely speak it due to how things were back in the day around the 90’s. My parents speak Tagalog, and one of the many variations/dialects; but it still takes a while for me to register it.
@@allisonhunter1063 as someone who lives overseas, I can tell you is quite wonderful when you hear someone trying to speak the language, even when they struggle. I've encountered many Americans who get upset if you don't speak English in a Spanish speaking country. But fortunately not everyone is like that. Congratulations on your portunhol lol. I speak both languages and yes, we share around 89% of the words. Felicidades! Parabéns!
A wonderful day to share with all the ragazzi. Grazie mille!
grazie mille e buon natale

Bellissimo! This was a great way to learn & improve my basic Italian for my upcoming trip to Italy.
Grazie millie!..🇮🇹🤩
Loved this video! I’m learning Italian and found this video delightful to use as a light study/review session during the day ❤
I made it through the entire video, then Jessi's "microwaivoo" had me dying HAHAHA. You did super well though!! Given how most of your daily communication must be in English and you don't live in an Italian environment, it's impressive to still maintain your level of Italian!
As an Italian guy born and living in Switzerland: we are proud of our roots and our language so we will make sure to keep it forever. 😉
Good work from Jessi speaking in italian for most of the day.
Jessi you did so well! I would love to see you guys review Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace.
I love you guys and love Italy too. I too should learn the language ❤️
Brava! As someone who's been learning Italian for a few months, I'm super happy about the fact that I managed to understand everything you guys said throughout the video. Italian is my third language, and being able to express myself in it this well makes me feel really proud 😅
Love this video!♥️I am teaching myself Italian and this video was so helpful🥰PLEASE do more videos in Italian!!!
I just found you guys today, but I've been working on learning Italian on Duolingo and watching CZcams to help learn to! You guys are very helpful!
Love this video!! Perfect for people wanting to work on their Italian!!
This was a lot of fun to watch. I am a new subscriber and I’m trying to catch up on all your videos. ❤
Siete adorabili. Jessi complimenti per il tuo italiano, ormai sei praticamente madrelingua👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
When Alessio looked back at Jessi and winked my heart fluttered. 💕🦋
Your kitty is so cute!!
grazie mille
Well this was lovely.
Sto imparando l'italiano, so I'm trying to consume as much Italian content as I can find and fell over this video. Thank you for sharing your lovely experiences. This was a treat.
Più video in italiano per favore!!!
Eons ago my grandparents came over from Sicily . I didn't learn much Italian but learned how to cook Italian food fromm scratch. You and Jessi rock!!

Jessi will soon be fluent in Italian, she's smart and eager to learn
Bravo ! It’s not easy… I’m French with an American and I can attest to this ….both ways ….it’s fatiguing but worth it
Thanks for making this video guys! I'm learning Italian and this was fun and helpful!

Sei dolcissima Jessy,un abbraccio da Castellammare di Stabia,❤️❤️❤️
Jessi's so pretty💙💙. She vibrates a peaceful energy💙
Ciao! Can you please tell me which restaurant you guys went to for hamburger and fries? I enjoyed watching you both speaking Italians. Blessed you both🙏🏽
Bravo. in my attempts to learn Italian I thrive on finding this type of content. Grazie
Great job Jessi! I’m amazed at what I still understood even though it’s been 20 years since studying in Italy, but I wouldn’t do near as well speaking.
That photo booth brought back memories of going to the beach with my friends. Anytime I went to Hampton Beach with them or Canobie Lake Park they would have those photo booths and we would take pictures. It was so much fun.
This probably won’t be a video that gets many views, but as a person trying to learn Italian I found it helpful. My Italian app has yet to use Left or right in a lesson. Thanks for this video.
You should make this a thing every Christmas holiday-- spend a month in London, Rome, Prague-- a major city each year and document life and food and fun.
Love this idea! How cool would that be? So many amazing experiences
@ThePasinis Totally! Not only did I learn all about NYC (it makes me feel more comfortable visiting now), but I enjoyed your vlog like a fun advent to Christmas. Thank you!
@@ThePasinis And a plus about Prague, the beer there is VERY cheap
The restrooms or bathrooms look of the restaurant sooo good.
The Pasinis is the cutest thing ever 🥰❤️🥰
Thank you so much!!
I agree
Great job, Jessi! You must have been exhausted by the end of the day
Brava,,complementi Jessi.
Siete veramente simpatici, Buon Natale.
Such a GREAT video
I love all your videos, but this was definitely in my top 3! Perche? Because I am trying to learn Italian and struggling- this inspired me 😊😂
You are so beautiful! And, your husband is extremely handsome. I think the two of you were put together by God. I love watching you because, I know love when I see it and you make my heart sing. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I pray that every good thing comes into your life and that all bad things stay far away. Love, Carmela
💕
Wow you're so good at Italian
1:00 Alessio: Cosa mangiamo?
Jessi: … Siamo allo Smith… 😂
Everything's alright when you have Micia to come home to .
Alessio un saluto da Pordenone! Hai un'ombra offerta se torni! Grande!
ciaooooo Grazie mille ricambio l'ombra 😉
Can you make more of these videos when you travel in Italy?
Sometimes it amazes me how similar Spanish (at least Puerto Rican Spanish from my experience) and Italian are, on that note Alessio HAS to try a true Boricua Grandma’s food. I wish I could send some cause there just isn’t anything like it!
Paraorecchie = Ear muffs
Che giornata impegnativa! Brava Jessi! 👏
More italian videos please!!
Brava!! Complimenti
A: "Allora?"
J: "Allora... va a cagareee"
Momento top, siete troppo forti ragazzi 😂😂 vi seguo da poco tempo ma già vi adoro!! un grande abbraccio dall'Italia e buone feste❤
As an italian ...i am very proud of Alessio ..because we are Miles far away from.... Italian/americans . They Lost everything of what Italy Is today!!
I just discovered you two a couple of weeks ago. I'm greatly enjoying your videos: informative, funny, and engaging. Such a delightful couple! Jessi reminds me a bit to my dear late wife (although she married an Irish guy).😊
HAHAHHA "that makes no sense in italian and english" cracked me
Well done and quite good accent
Che bello questo video ❤
happy video of a nice ameritalian couple keep it up
Great as very helpful to me as inspector Montalbano isn't accurately translated in the subtitles or uses sentences i could use.
(If I ever get to go to Roma & Hercuanea, Ostia & Florence)
We speak Texican here English and Spanish
Nice video. 😀
Bel video!
La pronuncia è pure buona
In Philippines your restroom is the same, we called banyo here
Bravissima 😊👏🏻
Grazie mille
Finalmente un video in cui capisco qualcosa visto che di solito no capisso mai un ostrega co xe in inglese! 😅😂
I'm learning Italian this helps
Started watching your channel but I just can't take the "amore'" that is so constant throughout...I'm sure others don't mind but..I just can't take it being said every 4th word. Good luck..all the best to you.
I mean, they are lovers...what do you expect? It is a bit excessive at times but its part of their common vernacular so its understandable.
Bellissimi voi...e un bel tipo anche l'americano che parla italiano 😂
😍😍😍😍 love you guys ! You are such a lovely couple and I can see the love in each other's eyes! Jealous of you only in good way! Be always in love and happy together!Your cat is amazing!
Sounds a lot like Spanish!!
:) I LOVED it!! I have a question where do you buy your Italian cookies and Chocolate Chip Panettone. I can only find the classic one so far in Massachusetts. I am in the Fall river area. Do you get from a certain chain store? I know you are in New York, but I am hoping maybe we have some of the same stores. I looked on Amazon and OMG the prices are insane. I would love to try some of the Italian cookies and pasta sauces. I cannot even find Cento sauce just the diced tomatoes or paste.
Stay away from those Italian products on Amazon! They are price gouging and the products that arrive at your house may arrived very damaged. My ex husband sent our kids some Gocciole cookies from one of those sites instead of shipping them directly from Italy himself and they arrived as a bag of cookie CRUMBS. He just resent us some replacements but from an online store called BELL'ITALIA - they arrived in optimal condition and they have pretty reasonable prices, considering they are products imported and shipped to them first from Italy. Jessi and Alessio also visited a huge store in NYC that has an online store with a bigger selection and decent prices, too, but I cannot recall the name of it right this second.
I had ordered a few times from YummyBazaar. The prices are better than Amazon and because you are on the East Coast, you probably will get the shipment relatively quick (they ship out of NJ). They do a fantastic job of packaging the items, including glass, and nothing thus far has ever been damaged. They often run a free shipping promo if you spend $49.
@@nancyflorida9863 Grazie!
@@nancyflorida9863 Thank You I will check it out!
@@tracyemailchat944 And I will check it out, yes I remember them mentioning a couple stores but I cannot remember in what video, I may have to go thru them again if the do not reply :D
So impressed!! Question.. Did you guys bring the cat on holiday ?? I can only imagine the damage my daughter's cat would do if we brought her on a trip
My head is spinning and my eyes hurt from the subtitles lol. Very good job.
Did I miss something? Did they move to NYC and don’t live in Tennessee anymore??
Complimenti, brava davvero. Saluti da Trieste.
Her guys
I love your videos
I'm mexican trying to learn Italian, learning another language it's not easy, but, girl you did pretty well speaking Italian, also having a great teacher, your husband of course 😀 😉
