Looks like a vintage deck… never thought the one ring would be this crazy!
You can even play the ring in vintage, Mishra's Workshop is no joke. I told my friend the ring would be broken cross format and he said "nah its not that good"

I love how on game 1 the opponent conceded when seeing Emrakul without noticing you’d die to the One Ring before swinging with it
If you look closely you can see he played a new ring so it has no burden counters. So he would't die
@@thelight288 That makes sense. (However I misread the ring and thought it gave you a burden counter, not itself)
@@MaavBR That would actually be really cool if it worked that way. Could still cast a new ring for protection from your opponent, but the burden on you would continue to rise thematically.

they're usually pretty diverse, legacy more so than vintage.

@HarryMTG, did I miss something with the concede at around 3:40? Even with Emrakul for the extra turn, don't you still die on that extra turn's upkeep due to the two one rings in play?
It's Legendary, so you sac the copy with many counters, leaving only the one with 1x. You'll gain +1 life with Inventor's Fair, staying at 1 net.
Cause with unlimted mana and unlimited draws the Opponent knows that Harry can easily cast another ring, and legend rule the ring with all the counters. The new ring will have no counters and therefore due no damage on the extra turn's upkeep.
He cast another One Ring and sacced the one that had the counters so he would take another turn without taking damage.
Is there long form of this gameplay somewhere? I'd love to see a stream or video.

Hum, forgive me if I'm wrong but, why does the oponent concede when you cast emrakul on 3:40? It gets you another turn but also another trigger of the one ring. Doesn't that mean that you could've died if he didnt concede? Just wondering...
I played a new ring which is legendary so sacrificed the other and would lose 0 life on my extra turn

He could just cast one of the other One Rings he has in his hand, the legendary rule making him sac one, choosing to sac the one with all the burden counters on it.

@@straultzeeafter rewatching the video he actually does do what I said. He plays a fresh ring to sac the one with counter before he plays emrakul. So he goes into his extra turn with a ring with no counters.

I don’t know how to feel about this. As an MtG player, I feel a bit sad that The One Ring is wrecking every format right now. On the other hand as an LoTR fan, I feel happy that The One Ring seems to be as powerful as it is in-game as it is in the Tolkien universe.
I guess when they said one ring to rule them all, they also meant MtG formats 😂

Since there's only one One Ring in print existence, it seems funny to me that there isn't a special rule in MTG:O that prevents you from having more than 1 copy in a deck.
Because the normal card exists? The only one ring that is unique is the 1/1, with alternate art. The card exists in the set normally

No. He has inventor's fair, and he has another one ring. He just casts the 2nd one ring, legend rules the one with the most counters, and puts the fair trigger last.

I think The One Ring is gonna come down a lot. It's basically only in one single Tier 1 Modern Deck. It's also in a couple Tier 1 Vintage decks, but Vintage doesn't generally affect prices much. It's so high because of the combination of huge flavor appeal and people wanting to play with a new card.
Paradox engine needs banned in general... it's a turn 5 single auto win... -_- the card couldn't be more broken... no literally if they released an artifact at turn 5 that said you win... it wouldn't be more broken because it's the same damn thing...

it is literally breaking MTG Arena's Alchemy mode with Triskaidekaphile and Loreth and Clever Conjuror with Oracle Of The Alpha this guy I played online kami'd into a second land for turn 1, turn 2 clever conjuror. Turn 3 Loreth (another untapping effect like conjuror) and stuff like Stony Strength to untap the untappers for the ring. This dude drew 22 cards in one turn but because he played Oracle Of The Alpha he had a bunch of moxes and a black lotus, so, he plays a second Oracle and then uses Shore Up to untap Loreth and gets Time Walk, so, he takes another turn, he takes his next turn and plays Oracle Of The Alpha... again.. Then he casts Time Twister and plays black lotus... again.. I just gave up and let him have his W
