Making on OFFICE CHAIR out of a VW car seat from the JUNKYARD.

- 113 Cycles and Stuff with Cleatus Automotive converted a junkyard VW car seat into an office chair. This is a simple project that cost about $20 to complete. We bought the office chair at a state surplus sale for $5. The VW seat cost $10 at the junkyard. We mig welded it but you can easily stick weld this.

It turned out cool. I’ve always wanted to do this with a 65/66 mustang seat.
That's a great idea. It would look great in a shop or in the house. It really was an easy job. I recommend making it. You won't regret it.
Oh man, I used to have a seat like that. It was actually a 960 seat on a fixed base, I used it as my computer chair, got ruined by mice in storage for five months...I should make another using a rolling base like that! Nice work!
They were so easy to make. I may end up with a whole fleet of them.
@@113Cycles I remember how comfy it was, it was great. We have a 98 with the same seats in for scrap, I may have to make some with those seats!
My Office Chair ...Shock is broke . SO we have a PVC pipe to fit over the Shock ....Perfect for me !!

It Does not go up and down ..But it fits me just fine @ my desk ..
To bad you to far away I have a set of LEATHER chairs ,with the shocks are broke .. why they broke cuz I am chubby some .;;. lol

Amazon sells those cylinders for 20 bucks.
That's cool. My only worry is that I would get too comfy and lean back and end up on the floor.
That balance is great. I lean mine all the way back and it's very stable. Having the track still on means that you can easily get the balance right.

If you can't use the original tracks on a car seat for sliding adjustment, as it can make it sit up too high for some people, the cylinder should always mount directly under your ass for proper balance.
Should I be wearing my welders mask when he is welding on screen? It seems really bright. I hope it isn't dangerous, because I like these videos, but I don't want to have to wear a mask while watching these videos.

You mounted the chair the wrong direction on the plate. That forward tilt is supposed to bebthe recline opton through the base
