You're a good dude... i really appreciate your rant, because im there with that guy who called in, Im nearly 40, and im quickly realizing how much I've wasted my life and how much i have struggled just to survive. If you can't lift someone up, dont be the reason they fall further.
Brother, the rear view mirror can be so aggressive in our life. I wish I could give ya a big hug dude. 40, we are still in the prime and I just know you are going make it thru. Its so easy to look back and see where we went wrong, all the while missing out on today.

Fun fact. I first became aware of Leprous, several years ago when I picked up the Haken album "Affinity", from 2016. This was of course just around the corner from when Leprous released their 2015 album, "The Congregation". Anyhow, on Haken's "Affinity" album, my favorite song is their prog epic, "The Architect", an almost 16 minute track which features Einar Solberg's timeless growling vocals starting around ~10:45 minutes into the song. Though it took me a while to accept Leprous, I was sold on that particular vocal capability.
Let me know if you ever want some guidance on the Haken catalog.
Last Friday was day of fighting with depression so I'm really grateful for this intro. I had burnout few months ago but I did some work and (hopefully) I solved my problem (by myself). Fortunately your positive personality can help other people.
I love this band. Einar's voice always moved me. Thank you and your patreons to bring Leprous onto channel.

I was just wondering, maybe especially because of the intro, if you have ever heard of Dir en grey?
Dir en grey are a Japanese rock/metal/Visual Kei band that started in 1997 and who have been going since with the same line-up. They released their 11th studio album in 2022. Their music is mostly about the darker side of humanity/life but in a very judgemental free and poetic/philosophical way.
The singer has one of the most versatile voices ever.
The song that gets requested the most [and for good reason] is called Vinushka. They are a live band so I would recommend the ANDROGYNOUS live version of the song if you haven't heard it yet and decided to do this some day [look out for Kaya's channel. She does english translations for Dir en grey and uses high quality videos].
The song is a bit of a roller coaster and I would probably suggest something else but this will give you a very good first impression and I know fans love reactions to this song and version :)

Leprous is so good. Einar (vocals) and Baard (drums) get most of the attention for obvious reasons, but Tor is a great writer, rythm guitarist and backup singer. Such a great lineup.
Should check out Robin's guitar solo on The Sky is Red. So tasteful.

This guy has an amazing and powerful voice! Impressive! Regarding the CZcams bully, I can't imagine how this poor guy felt when he heard this degrading public humiliation. Hearing words like those, especially when you're down, leaves scars for life. It's unforgivable.

Heya, I was planning to comment anyway cause I'm always happy if someone reacts to one of my favourite bands that is Leprous. But after how you started the video I knew I HAD to comment. I'm 38, and I've realized in my life that I do like harmony. For the longest time I didn't worry about my life, about purpose, I just lived. I really felt motivated though to always help anyone who struggles. And when I eventually went down a dark path myself I felt for the first time how difficult it is to escape from that. As you said, music has the power to change that, it has so much power to give me feelings that are beyond explanation. But I also felt greatful for the friends I made along the way. And despite many negative news we get to deal with on a daily basis, sticking to the ideal that we're all alike, and that I can do my best to brighten as many peoples days as I can, no matter if they're close friends or unknown to me, that's for me a strong motivation to keep my head up and thrive.
It's very fitting that you mentioned this on a video about Leprous, where you praise Einars vocals, as so many have done before, me included (being a vocalist myself). Because he has said to be dealing with Depression himself.
Their album "Pitfalls" was based around his experiences with expression. And while it's overall mostly softer, it has songs that are really amazing and show the full potential of his voice. "At the bottom" and "The sky is red" are two really unique examples, showing different facettes of his singing and also his feelings. He's also thematized this in the lyrics of their latest album "Aphelion", and I was able to really connect to the lyrics. He's inspiring so many of us I'm sure, and I'm grateful for it. The music is strong already but him being open about his life makes it even more person and motivational. But as much as I'd like to thank him, I also want go mention that I'm so happy I've watched this video on your channel today. Cause people like you are what keeps humanity human. Cause you understood what we all need, cause you're not afraid to speak out and tell people that there are bigger things in life, things more important than money, success, etc. For that I want to thank you. You're making so many viewers think about these things, you're doing great work. You make the world a brighter place. And I'm happy to be able to experience it and to be able to know about it, being a continent away. Thank you so much ❤

Einar's voice is raw. It's filled with emotion and pain. This is why Leprous resonates so much with me, and others here. I held off on Leprous for years. I was being stubborn, and frankly I was being a Prog Snob, refusing to go down the rabbit hole. It took a great fall, a surreal moment of life standing on the threshold, that I picked up Leprous, gave them a chance and have been amongst their most dedicated fans since.
I'm soooo glad we have dived into them more! SOOOOO GOOD!
