Woah, I just got a massive wave of nostalgia upon hearing that intro.
I don't think I've seen your channel for years, but this immediately feels exactly the same!
If it ain't broke don't fix it brother
Same here, used to watch this dude before work while eating breakfast lol but this was like 6 years ago. Glad to see him still doing this work for the people
Gordon is selling pizza bites for $7 USD that look very similar to Totinos Pizza Rolls which you can get from the dollar tree now!! 😆
Probably Mr. Plinkett wouldn’t like Gordon’s version!
I say it time and time again.
These celebrity chefs have absolutely no idea what any of this stuff is that has their name on it. Most likely never even heard of it. They loan the rights to use their name to a conglomerate that puts crap out like this with the celebs name on it and the conglomerate earns a profit. Do the celebs earn a profit, too? Of course! Their name is in use! It's called selling your soul
Damn, my local Dollar Tree sucks lol.
Gordon has lost his ability to bitch about the little things. He sells the little things that are gilded crap. Go big or enjoy the small, but you cant have both at the same time.
rent, not loan....but yeah, many/most are just in it for the monetization.@@thatbobusguy
Flipping the Wellington Bites halfway through the cooking time would probably help the pastry to brown more evenly.
You gotta love that there's no such thing as a broken pop tart
I would like to see all these celebrity chefs try their own frozen meals, appetizers , etc. especially Gordon Ramsey. Margarine, artificial butter flavor ? How could he not have a cow? Let’s not forget his Shepherds pie made with GROUND BEEF.
Which is a cottage pie. And he totally blew that one
You'd assume that would be how a celebrity chef should promote their products. Almost .5g salt in just 1? These tasted like overly salted hot pockets wrapped in pillsbury grands biscuits.
he sold out hard. any dignity was over after hexclad.
If you go to Walmart there are others. Guy Fieri, Andrew Zimmern and Kardea Brown all have their own line of frozen stuff as well. It's all part of a Food Network deal.
He's an entertainer not a chef, when was the last time he worked in a kitchen?
thanks for all the years of content! I appreciate you!
Hold up. The guy who has a fit every time hes served something that was frozen has a frozen food he sells??
I think it's more him having a problem with people having frozen food and lying about it being fresh.
Frozen Restaurant food. There is a difference. If your going to a restraunt you shouldn't be served food that can easily be frozen in a oven frozen. There is also the health and saftey issue of reheating food.
I cant count how many times I have seen foolish comments like this. His standards for frozen foods are in professional kitchens! When you go to a restaurant, you are paying for the atmosphere, high quality fresh ingredients....At home, he has never said it is wrong to eat frozen.
He doesn't have a problem with frozen food when told he's going to be served frozen food. He simply finds it unacceptable when a restaurant claims to make an item on the menu yet that item is a frozen grocery store box meal that doesn't require a restaurant to overpay for (plus they tend to suck at microwaving correctly, which makes it obvious that it's a pre-packaged frozen item). Funnily enough, it's pretty easy to pull off pretending that a pre-bought frozen item is made in-house by just correctly microwaving it (cover it to retain moisture and keep it covered for 1-2 minutes after heating) then adding a touch of extra sauce or condiment.
Should have gotten a two just because of the margarine. Can't you just see him on one of his shows: "YOU USED MARGARINE?" And then spit it in the trash.
So much of our processed food is vegetable oils, gums and starches. It's just sad. Sure it tastes okay, it's just...blah.
We had part of a gallon pail of ice cream after a kid's birthday party, didn't want it, left it out to thaw before throwing it out to keep the bucket. It turned into a bucket of foam. I had to stick my hand in it, unreal!
Häägen-dasz is where it's at with ice-cream. One of the few with "normal" ingredients.
That was frozen dairy dessert.
Thank you for doing tjese reviews for us, the people. I'm glad it wasn't a wholly negative experience. What I've learned is that, having tried one for myself and hearing your reviews, is that there is no way on God's green earth that I will pay $6 to $8 for any of these celebrity chef meals. If any of the cooks they've judged turned out food like this they would have been sent away crying. I'll stick with the stuff I know I like that costs half as much. And I'll cook a little more because you have provided quite a lot of inspiration on that front. Hope you are healing well. Keep up the good work!
Lar does it for US the PEOPLE!!!!
And i freaking love him for it
Chicken pot pies are $7 at the CVS in my city 😐
@@robert9016 I hope you have other grocery options than CVS in your area. My Dollar Tree has Michelina's for $1.25 and I've had a few of those that are as good as these high priced celebrity chef meals.
Personally, since I've never had beef wellington, I might consider getting it once just to try it.
I like your videos all of them. You have saved me lots of money on trying new foods. Thank you for sharing
Your recipes are great too.
I wonder if you cooked them bottom side up for 1/2 the time and the flip them for the remaining time??
I had some last night and it was delicious!
The irony.... Gardon Ramsey, the man who advocates FRESH cooking, puts his name to a frozen meal.
Frozen foods are fine to Gordon. He only hates when restaurants serve frozen food when its advertised or told its fresh.
For the love of God. Noone should be eating old frozen foods at a restaurant, having to pay restaurant prices. At home it is fine.
@@jayedith9398 I don't mind frozen food in restaurants since it keeps them last longer, and kills bacteria/parasite. In terms of old, I rather not have them that was sitting in the freezer for a week old. Almost every good restaurant that serves fish must be frozen before serving, same goes for all meat like chicken.
@@nexokami I never commented at you, it was to Jeff. You're normal and I agree with what you said in both comments. Not sure why you directed this last one to me though.
@@jayedith9398 Ah sorry, my notification picks up on anything xD
Bro you did a review maybe a couple months ago about some freezer dumplings; I got em and they were fuggin awesome! Thank you!!!
This is a company trying to find a way to sell the trimmings off premium solid cuts of meats and mushrooms that otherwise would end up as animal feed. Gordan is eyeing a new ferrari so he's on board to use his name to make a paycheck. No way 5 "bites" are worth $7, maybe 10.
Where do you buy this?
Serving size is 2, box contains 5.
At 3 min 43 seconds for several seconds a big black hair was on the Wellington Bite. Thanks for the video.
Yep was wondering if anyone else had caught that lol
That doesn’t look like a hair but more a string of fabric or yarn from a sweater
If you wrote 3:43 then you can click on it to skip it on the video
He held that position for quite some time, and I didn't see a damn thing
I remember trying the beef wellington at Bread Street Kitchen in Singapore. It was good but wow was it pricey especially with the sides.
4:25 nice reflex's!
The first time I didn't line the steam tray too. It came out in pieces but it was still good.
Ramsay: "It's FROZEN!"
Also Ramsay:
I had these the other day and they were some of the best frozen snacks I ever had. Can't wait to try the rest of his line!!
One of those air fryer-sized parchment sheets would probably help keep the pastry intact.
$7 for a frozen meal and they can’t even put real butter in it.
I bought these for a Thanksgiving app. Not bad!
Oh wow! I was just looking up Ramsey's frozen foods.
They’re not at my Walmart yet but I’ll be trying them when they do. In the oven.
Flip stuff half way through to get a even crisp.
"I shanked that wellington bite like a prison snitch."😂
Larry this sounds good. Can't wait to see the review. Googled Beef Wellington Bites recipe...will prob be making some soon....ahhh the homemade version.
I’ve heard Gordon is known for making the ladies salty, warm &… you get my gist 😂
😂😂😂
Good review Larry, I was curios.
Hey Larry, I thought you were switching to a scale of 1-5. But nevertheless, these look like they are worth a taste. Thanks!
Like Gordon asks, "is it fresh or fresh frozen?"
Anything for a buck, I guess.
I want to try these, I think maybe turning them over midway through the cooking process should help both sides crisp up. Even if the instructions don't say to do so why always flip things or or change the orientation of the pan if I'm cooking either the air fryer or oven. However that being said I too like to follow the cooking instructions the first time around and then make adjustments next time, although watching your videos has saved me the trouble on many occasions 😁
dont flip, the bottom falls through
Looks like little beef pot pies. Or these sausage puffs my ol lady makes sometimes.
Glad to hear it's pretty dam good!
Good video, thanks for sharing, YAH bless !
Saw his frozen line for the first time in the store tonight and got the Sheppard's pie. It was 5.95 where I am which is still more than most single serve frozen meals. There was nothing wrong with it as far as frozen meals are concerned. It was definitely better than several other versions of the same dish I've tried but I don't think it's worth that price point.
I never had beef Wellington before but I would love to try it! Maybe I should brave the Walmart crowds and get some of these! I know it won’t be the same but close enough…
I have had beef Wellington a few times and IMO, you're not missing much. I always think it's going to be great, and it's always a disappointment.
@@kenmore01 I feel the same way. Just bake some puff pastry alongside shepherd's pie (or cottage pie). It's the same combination of flavors and textures but with way less hassle- something you could actually make a weeknight dish.
@@randomoneforstuff3696 Funny, as I had a Big Mac today, as I was eating it, I thought it tasted a lot like Swedish meatballs. Then I thought, why not? It's very similar. Sauce instead of a different sauce, but ground beef and onion etc.
Basically, I'm making Swedish meatballs next week lol.
Me: Ohhhhh, this isn't going to end well.....
Gordon: GOES WELL WITH BEER
They should be called Ramsey Balls instead of Bites.
Goes well with beer 🍻
They taste better than most TV dinners but for 6$ I rather buy hamburger meat
I knew this was going to be new levels of delicious price be damned
Hey try their 5.99 Gordon Ramsey pot pie it's delicious
Gonna have too cook some of these up in a HexClad skillet while caliing myself an idiot sandwich.😂
When you ask a question in the title, the answer is always "No"
I can't wait for Ramsey's microwavable prime rib to come out.
I am surprised he has anything frozen food. He pushes freshness all the time.
Hi, good friend! Hope you continue to feel better every day! 😊
Nice catch from Mrs Wolf pit.
I've been leery of his products that have been in the frozen food sections LOL
ive been wanting the real deal for a while, but this may be what i start off with.
3:33 Nice Pubic Hair....
i think some big 'food' corp offered Ramsey a few million in exhange for using his name and likeness. After he got paid he has no reason to care about the actual quality of the product. I doubt he would even recognise this crap if you put it in front of him. (after he throws a tantrum about how much it "f**king sucks!!!!") lol god i hate him for cheapening the art of cooking to a big joke
Yea I was finding it surprising that he would be selling anything frozen
Gordon Ramsays name on a box of Frozen food is the least expected of places you would find his name when i saw Wolfepit reviewing these i was a little confused and then i saw them on the shelves myself and was Suprised none the less.
I guess Ramsey has to sell out like this since he has to pay all of the chefs at his Michelin star restaurants and his heavy tax bills.
Imagine if one of the restaurants in Kitchen Nightmares served him this and he said it was disgusting.
Guaranteed, there aren’t any microwave oven heating directions!
Should try getting affiliate links for all food you review. Would be a nice extra source of income. Thanks for all the videos, long time fan here!
Agreed jared. At 8 years old, I was taught all firearm safety. Treat every fire arm as if it were loaded. Don't point at anything you don't intend on destroying. Keep finger out of gaurd till ready to shoot. Ect everyone should know at least the basics of firearm safty
He's got one that's pizza rolls i wanna try!
I looooove your nails! That’s a beautiful green :3
Thank you from we the people 👍👍
3:35. Is that a hair? Lol
Value wellington? Does Ramsey approves? Blue Shell! *BOOM*
Salty Soft And Wet Im 72 and just pissed my pants laughed so hard
I juste ate these. I cooked in the oven. They are delicious. Just be careful because the bottom kept falling out. I definitely would buy it again.
I will definitely will try them
Hope you enjoy
Always Hated to make Beef Wellington as there is a very thin line between good and overcooked.
Lol this product reminds me of Chef Gusteau’s TV dinners from Ratatouille
Mr,Wolfe pit. Soft,Wet,and BEEFY!! You crack me up!! Keep up the awesome 👌
If they were mini-wellies, they'd have a whole chunk of cow in there, with the mushroom slops around it, buuuuuut, nah, gotta just use industrial waste bits and pieces instead... :P
Got the beef Wellington bites, $7USD. There are 5 in the package. About golf ball size, maybe slightly bigger. Super salty, almost tastes like White Castle burgers. Not getting again
To be fair, Ramsey has 0 to do with these meals the company pays for a license to his name
Looks like Huzhou Bing. A taiwanese pepper pork pasty cooked over wood fire.
😊
Feeling better? Hope so we the people want you too. I could throw down 5 no problem
Margarine? That is sooo 2002.
It's now known as 'BUTTER flavored SPREAD'! 😊
Not a mushroom fan. Don't think I'd buy. But thanks for trying for us, the people !
I'm a loner Dottie, a rebel.
Flipping halfway through cooking will help with sticking and being soggy
Think prosciutto is a late (but delicious) addition to Beef Wellington?
bet if you flipped them half way through cooking, that would help the soggy part
nope just tried and the bottom fell through onto the crumb tray
I would eat them upside down, to solve this problem.
Damn the music is cranked
Just like Vapor Trails, the music has to be cranked upon return from an involuntary break.
From your username i assume you're also a metalhead as I am. Still, the background music on Wolfe Pits videos SLAPS. That mix of echoing keyboard with funky slap bass is awesome
@@ThommyofThenn isn’t it from the tv show How it’s made?
@@thrasherx2k1 I just went and listened to that theme song. It's really quite similar but different. I bet they're both from the same stock music archive
Larry, maybe if you turn the wellington bites halfway through the cooking time they won't be soggy. That's what I'm thinking anyway.
$16 in Costco
As much as ge yells about Frozen anything if you watch his shows its all avout the money 😂
So, cost of ready made versus home-made? What's the average cost of the ingredients? Like each one, and how many will that purchase yeild? Betcha it's more than $7, plus the labor expended to put it together. Gotta count everything you put in, from a teaspoon of salt to the dough, then there's the baking time/cooking time, how long will you run the stove to make them? Is it an electric stove or gas, or are you getting creative with an outdoor grill? When you're going to figure cost to make rather than buy, you need to count EVERYTHING from beginning to end product. Then you decide which is cheaper, the home-made or the ready-made. Spoiler alert, the cost either way will vary according to where you live and what store you buy at. So it might be cost prohibitive to make in New York versus California, versus Houston, versus anywhere else. And are all ingredients available in your local store? Will you need to shop around or order online? Everything counts kiddos.
Flip them halfway through cooking.
IT'S A MEAT PIE!
I’m having a heart attack just looking at it.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Funny thing is, the negative review person apparently got a package containing 6 bites instead of 5!
Pass
I cannot even eat one. If I wanted to eat fungus I’d lick my feet. Which I also cannot do.
So the mushroom taste is overpowering?
Looks like it would be better in a deep fryer, then again everything is better in a deep fryer.
Definitely not. I tried the shepherds pie. It was so small it could have been put in a package s quarter of the size and was almost all potatoes
Green nail polish?
I very much like TheWolfePit channel, but that green nail was a gastronomical turn off🤢
