We are headed on a road trip to take a family vacation on a cruise. With so many people something is bound to go wrong. Hannah's car loses service and gets lost, and then our AirBnB has a major infestation and it gets crazy, but we do have a special guest we are excited about!

To be honest, I love Jake and Lucas' style and personalities.
As they aren't too keen or haven't time to be on camera very much, I prefer a rare quality and entertaining recording of themselves instead of a quantity of superficiel glimpses in a vlog.

Walkie-talkies are great to stay in touch with multiple cars traveling together.
Yeah you can get real neat ones. Actually that's what my friend's mom did when they were younger instead of spending hundreds of dollars getting them phones. Go to a park? Take a walkie with you and check in.

Watching Evei just relax since the adoption is priceless. I noticed the same with the other adoptions I have been here for. The feeling of relief they must feel is huge. I've also noticed a change with Jamie since she got her name changed. You two have made a world of difference for those kids who didn't know what their future was until you came along. You really should get Mom and Dad of the year. You make their lives fun and have meaning.
Whoever edited this did a good job with the car trip and getting the many cars in on the trip. Great job.

The ant traps have bait in them to attract the ants so they can take the poison back to the queen and colony.
Just what I came to say haha. Yep unfortunately when set baits it attracts more ants but they only go to the bait and back home. The secret is to try and find exactly where they come into the house at, and put the baits as close to it as possible so it limits how far they go. But after a day or 2, they'll be gone forever lol

evie reminds me of myself when i was younger (keep in mind i just turned 15 2 days ago so im still somewhat similar) but her bright personality and the way she communicates and expresses herself you can always see what’s going on with her whether good or bad is such a good thing and she seems like the perfect fit when she joined the family!

I know it shouldn’t have been funny but when Hannah and Savanna went silent after Aurora saying she wasn’t happy made me die 💀😭
I don’t see the humor in that situation. She is a child who was sad because she missed her grandma who has passed away and her siblings were probably silent because they were caught off guard and didn’t know what to say but it cut off quickly after she said it so I’m sure they did their best to comfort her but chose not to show it.

Great attitude Crystal. Pretend you are camping! A suggestions : Before you go, discuss with everyone driving the route you are taking. It is also good to mapquest it before going and everyone having a print out. This is good practice in case your GPS is not working. You probably will save a ton of money to make a snack pack before leaving ! You and Aaron are amazing parents. Bon Voyage.

Next time maybe put luggage and things in the vehicles the night before and make a car seating chart the night before as well it would make your day to leave much better

I love Crazy Pieces but they are always running late. Some people are just better organizers than others. Plus they have younger kids than Crazy Middles. I think Jared (math brain) keeps them as organized as you can get with 20+ people.
I just took a road trip. Next trip, over night bag and suitcases stay in the car until final distention. Too much moving and shuffling and it was only 2 of us!

I know this won't help your ant situation now, but it could help in the future! I 100% recommend the Terro Brand ant poison. You have the liquid, and you put it on a little piece of glossy cardboard (it will come with some already in the box), and it gets rid of the ants. It will be gross at first because all of the ant's swarm, but it works wonders! I hope this helps in the future!

😂 Shout out to the liquid Ant traps! 😂 That was a long road trip with 5 freaking cars! Yikes!! But you are doing it. The kids need to learn maps! I’m telling internet and all this crap is making dumbing down our kids. I mean that in the kindest way. But they don’t know what to do without their phones. No crap to Hannah. She did well. The point is our children do not know how to do a lot of things we had to do when we had to do as kids.

For the seatbelt strap for Evie and Brody. People forget that it slides up and down. If you slide it down it may help get it off their neck. Worth a try. Besides the cushioned seat belt cover.

We had “Safe Fits” growing up for the seatbelts which were a life saver! You just slotted the seatbelt through the little pouch/fabric, and it rerouted the seatbelt so it sat lower on your shoulder and didn’t hurt your neck when you were short. I’m sure they still make something like that, that would help so much!
So proud of Hannah! She had an issue and worked through it. One of life’s lessons.

It’s hard enough to get a group of 4 or 5 packed, dressed, fed, suitcases snacks and travel entertainment in the car and ready for vacation. Can’t imagine how long it actually took for a group such as the Crazy Pieces. Really liked how you had someone in each vehicle videoing their trip to the hotel.

I know ants freak you out but it doesn’t mean it’s dirty. Usually there is a nest under the house and they come into damp places. They eat toothpaste etc and residue will attract them.
Yep. We get ants in our house every spring and our house isn't dirty.

Next time u have a multi car roadtrip look into long range walkie talkies we use them on roadtrips
YES! Using a map is a skill many people are no longer learning. As a long time truck driver, I still use mine along with GPS. Also, many GPS apps have a download feature so if you lose signal the map is still available. ❤
I love using Waze when traveling (been using it for about 10 years)! Especially during construction or traffic issues.

We are on a family vacation for the first time in 12yrs. We had everything planned and every one of our kids,grandkids, and great were coming 20 of us., then our grandson ended up being able not coming as he just got a new job the week we were leaving which he needed to support his family.
So we understand about Ariana and how you feel.
