I just bought 2 xiaomi scooter 3's for my kids and myself to scoot around on. Thanks for the vids if i have issues with the batteries what I have learnt from you is just buy a whole new pack and pull apart the old one for the individual cells :)

most likely there'll be a part 3 ... at which point I have no clue what I can do ... buuut ... that one might be interesting
in any case -- I like to download the good shit off the internet -- it's rather unreliable 😂

Hello, i commented also the third part. I opened my m365 pro 1 and the battery is a little bit different. I don't have these jumper i don't know why. Do you think i can connect wires for charging on the metallic part where you test with the multimeter?

    • @Darieee
      @Darieee  Před 8 měsíci

yeah, they sometimes move those pads around, but, if you can't find them, anywhere where you're actually connecting DIRECTLY to the cells is good

Hello there, i didn't use my scooter for several months without charge and my range shortened from 20km to 3-4 km.
I checked my cell voltages and I see that 4-5 cells of my battery are not on the voltage as expected. (around 3.7 on full charge.)
I'm thinking to balance it by charging every cell with using TP-4056. Is that a good way to repair it without killing it completely?
    Voltages on full charge.
    Cell 1 3.649 V
    Cell 2 4.11 V
    Cell 3 4.066 V
    Cell 4 3.623 V
    Cell 5 4.111 V
    Cell 6 4.117 V
    Cell 7 3.978 V
    Cell 8 4.116 V
    Cell 9 3.965 V
    Cell 10 4.115 V

totally - rebalance all the banks with your 4056 and arm yourself with a few days of patience ❤️

might be a good candidate for one of the cheap active balance boards if you can't find the actual fault

Thanks for video, I would like to know if I can use this battery without control unit just without 3 wire (white, green and yellow I believe communication cable) for electric bike. I am not sure if you know but maybe if you come across it again or you have it around and you can try to load it shortly without control unit🙃. Thanks in advance.

    • @maxinozka

Ok I see answer in repair no.3 so I can use it on its own.
BTW it must be balancer. If possible I will just get rid of balancer but measuring system can load cell and cause your problem. It is in my opinion not balancing at all. I did not study those chips but I guess they balance on its own without communication and voltages measurement is independent otherwise it will balance until it is good. I had many batteries without balancer and they were after ten years the same! 2000 cycles for sure and I believe they had LG cells but maybe quality went down. I was discharging them in 10 minutes pulling 200kg. I do not believe the problem are batteries as I used some cheaper Canadian cells 8 years ago and they were balanced for well over 1200 Cycles until one cell failed. If it is problem with batteries it will be always the same cell as I build battery pack from different cells and it was always the same because I balanced every 100 cycles.

sooorta - now 2 other packs are lagging behind
      less so
one of them is I think the one I charged externally (& decided not to replace)
      I don't know ... are you also running a custom firmware ?
if so - how many W are you pulling from your pack ?

ye .. most phone batteries are crap unfortunately :(
try charging up to only 80%, and never i heat - that should prolong the life of a battery greatly
      cheers ✌️

Well yes and no. Surprisingly Huawei phones take extreme care of their batteries. My Mate 20 lite still lasts 1,5 to 2 days of use after 4 years. Xiaomi scooter batteries are the same if you aren't so aggressive with them. My PRO 1 is coming uppon 4000km, cfw (speed increase but no power increase + some creature comforts). If you want more power buy a more powerfull scooter from a reputible brand ...
