  • "I work at a smaller department where each fire fighter has to carry a tool on him. Having a custom axe built to Liam's quality made for the best fire I could ask for. I've used this axe from structure fires to car fires with making access under the hood to cutting out a wind shield of a semi rollover. The axe was ready for work. Since I've carried this axe I've used it on 2 fires and it has performed nothing less than perfect. It's an extension of my right arm. If I need to cut, rip, or just plain smash it's ready. I take it back to the station wipe it off, oil it up and put it away. Ready for it's next job. Thank you Liam for making such great axes." - Bill Johnston, Firefighter
The Hoffman Blacksmithing Fireman's hatchet is 19 inches long and has a head weight of 2.5lbs. The entire head is forged from alloy steel and is fitted with hand made hickory handles. Tried and true by real Firemen.

Beautiful work as always Liam. Id be very proud to know my tools are being used on a daily basis by men and women who rely on them for their own safety and the safety of communities. Massive fist bump dude!

You're an inspiration, your blacksmithing skills are absolutely amazing! I too am a boyscout but working on my eagle project still, such a huge shame they got rid of the blacksmithing merit badge

I am pretty sure you do classes, so if I ever took one could we make a fireman axe?

I wonder how it performs felling and bucking trees.

Who is the bloke that destroys a classic Mercedes? I find this very offensive and couldn't watch.
