Union Berlin used to be worse, than all these football clubs before, so that shows how much Union Berlin has risen still.

It's very easy to explain. Neverkusen happens because of a bad mentality, with a gap of 5 points and 3 games remaining anyone could be someone who thinks everything will go smoothly even though they haven't won anything yet, and with two finals in front of their eyes they might think they will at least win one of them. That's a bad mentality but not many people realize that almost anyone can be trapped in that hole. I think Xabi is trying to fix this, after leaving sociedad he was in three different teams that managed to win the UCL, domestic cup, league champions and compete to retain the league championship. I think he understands the difference in mentality.
