I can't wait until this Wednesday. I am buying a 2014 Strat deluxe 1900 with these already on em. !836 miles on the bike is all. I had a 2005 RoadStar 1700 until a kid clocked me from behind at 50MPH last March, darn near killed me, but I am up and about to ride on once again!
Will have crash bars on it as well I can tell you everything you want to know about it only thing you might want to do is put a programmer on for the exhaust. You have to tell me what you paid they way over allowed it when they got it for me for my boat. That's the reason a broker got it in Georgia from my boat dealer here in Destin
+Chris Schaefer ? are those controls on the handle bar for the stereo or for cruise control or both? I wasn't sure if it had cruise control on it or not? does it need the programmer due to the pipes similar to jetting the carbs on the older carburetor version bikes? I will look up your name under Facebook and I left you mine as it is on Facebook in another reply. And then if you don't mind will swap phone numbers via Facebook message. if we do be sure and look at our other message box in facebook wh
Matt, so far no need. Little over 200mi on pipes without any issues. Talked with my local Yamaha Power Sport tech and he said I should have no problems. So far he's right.
Niiiice! Love the sound. Look really snazzy too. Like that you installed them on your own. All around good looking ride you got there. My next purchase will be pipes. Want to pair them with an improved air intake and power manager. My strat is a 2007 with 52,000 on it. Still very strong.
Not sure how you reset the engine to run with these new pipes. Original pipes have a electric valve/baffle that tunes the engine for optimum performance throughout the rpm band.
II also have the 2014 model. Your pipes sound great from behind at idle or cranked, but not much difference at idle, from upfront. I guess you lost the Ex-cup flap, did you notice any loss of torque or overall horse power? I was also kinda wondering about the left side blue smoke you shot out each time you cranked the throttle. Sounds like you got a great price on them though
Chris, an update on your old new bike, now mine :) I love it. I added the "Clearview Windshield" 12'', curved with vent. I added Throttlemeister (type of manual cruise control) I added a dual flag holder. I have some light (flashers) to install for increase daytime visibility, front and rear. I'll post some update pics soon. ?? for you, I think you said it was on the tuner when you got the pipes, or did you install a modualr tuner under the seat (I haven;t even looked) ? thx Hope all is well
Just Bought one this week a left over, Sounds great.... I have some questions about the two wires that were in the Key area ??? Also do you mind if I ask what they approximately cost ?
Ray, got them online at 699.00 for the set. Two wires in key area?? Not sure what you mean. Guessing the 02 sensor into side of exhaust pipe, they get reused on the new install.
Chris, you did a great job, i was going to ask if you had to re-flash your computer or add a commander but you covered that below. I've seen several installs withe the stock Fi, air box, etc.. and they seemed to "pop" on acceleration or right after you let of the throttle but you didn't seem to have that issue. Best price i found was $850 for those pipes, if you don't mind mentioning where these were available for $699 i know i would sure appreciate it and i would send them my business! Thanks for the well shot video.
+B.K.C. Business The guy had to raise his prices per Freedom or get cut off of inventory. Just checked his price today. 854.00 I have an intermittent pop on low rpm's on acceleration but never on backing down.

+Kevin Bruce Enjoy, sold mine last month - dealer down here in Fl. sent it up to Atlanta area. Funny if it was same bike.
I know it was on Destin, then a broker bought it. Now in Gainesville Ga. In Destin it was on Craigslist, cycle trader too I think

Nice sounding exhaust. Question about the bike's audio, does it have an AUX port to connect a cellphone other than an iPhone? Thanks.

Doesn't sound loud at all ?
Nice. Now get an intake and fuel programmer or ECU flash and hang on :))
How was the left muffler attached from the crossover pipe?
I'm convinced I need these on my Roadliner. Where did you find them for 699.00?
