Just is an indictment of the state of the wrestling business right now. That one of the performers up until recently had no idea that one of the inductees who was relatively well known in the business was no longer alive.

I'm a father and I happen to have the same birthday as Shad (Jan 13). I was never a Cryme Tyme fan, but everything about his induction kicked my ass.
And Dana needs to go away. Shad was 100 times the man her husband was - sorry to say.

@@damonodell9125 I think it was an honest oversight, not any kind of snub. Maybe he doesn't realise the impact Foley had on his career, aside from the HIAC. In an ESPN interview the same day before the speech he mentioned Foley and that match. I think it may have overshadowed his own perception of what they did together and I can kind of understand him not wanting to go over it again in his HoF speech.

I don't want to bring this up or even put this in the universe but two nights ago I was thinking about what would happen if Jim Cornette died. I've been listening to this dude every night for about the last 10 years no joke. My youngest kid has autism and her sleep schedule is so crazy and the only thing that I have found that, besides for a doobie or two, helps me through the long, quiet hours is listening to Jim and Brian. Jim, you are crazy but you are our fucking crazy and you are loved my friend. This will probably never reach you but thank you for schooling us, making us laugh, and always being true to yourself. May you live long and stay blessed always.

Steiner was so pure in his speech even towards the end Taker also but more surprising with Scott ...Kane wasn't that tall years ago in house show I was almost shoulder level and Im 6.2 guess true he use lifts in his boot..now waiting Jim response on Rick Steiner kidnapping angle on Nxt
Kane is probably 6'7 these days..same as Undertaker. Both were 6'8 in their prime. But definitely a little shorter now in their 50s.

The Undertaker, cold, is the best pro wrestler of all time. As a worker, as a gimmick, as a ticket draw, as an entrance, as someone committed to his job….. nobody else has ALL of those things done to perfection.
I’m sorry but Taker is not anywhere close to being a great draw. Great gimmick, good worker, loyal and adaptable, and a solid special feature attraction but as a top headlining draw… there numbers don’t bear it out
JTG had to present the award this year for shad. Dana warrior didn't know the guy and her doing it just felt wrong especially the award that year under the circumstances. Bad move from the wwe

This a is a joke. Whenever a supernatural characters comes around they are compared to the undertaker
When they make the Bret/Shawn comparisons, they are usually comparing the in-ring style.. one (Shawn), based around showmanship, charisma, high flying, etc. Vs. another (Bret) more mat based, serious, methodical, The excellence of execution.. Taker had the typical "Big Man" style, although he was much more agile than those before & after him..

That said, I actually preferred both.. there were times wrestling my little brother where I wanted to be more flamboyant like HBK, and then there were times I wanted to work a body part & make him submit, no nonsense like The Hitman lol
just watched Vader wwe debut and the look on Vince's face is priceless when you hear the start of "It's Time" and I can see why he would have given you that reaction. Can't say I am surprised with this and it's so easy to see more why wwe sent to shit last 17 or 18 years.

@@xlixity the only reason the award exists is for WWE to reappropriate the 'Ultimate Warrior' gimmick and keep the brand alive post-Jim Hellwig. I couldn't care less about the Hellwig's politics, but I agree a brand new 'Shad Gadspar Hero' award would be a wonderful way to immortalize Shad forever long after Vince and this era has moved on. Think how cool it'd be in 20 years to have Shad's son presenting the award.

I don't think they gonna have Rock and Hunter together if Rock agreed to the induction. Maybe Triple H with Batista or Batista headlines next years then Hunter in 2024 (Unless they want to get Rock in ASAP)

So if María is 5’8 with 6 inch heels which many women wear at events. Shed be 6’2 so it makes sense for Kane to only look 6 inches taller if he’s wearing normal shoes that only give you an inch

I'm surprised that Luger didn't get inducted this years due to WWE moving his icons documentary to a later dates and wanting him to get a happy ending and closure from him with the induction (Other icons documentaries have the HOF as the end game and closure for them)
I missed the ceremony on TV but I thought Sid was going to be inducted this year anybody know what happened with that?
I heard Sid was a backup plan incase scotty steiner didnt want to except or come to the show so they had him lined up just in case they couldn't do the steiners... maybe he will be inducted next year who knows..
I assume Taker will wait until Wrestlemania 40 in a couple years to do one more match. Its also obvious that Roman will still have the title at next year's Mania which is 39 so he can beat the rock. Then he will probably keep it till 40 so he can beat taker and then maybe finally lose it at SummerSlam. Right now they say there are no plans for Roman to lose the title so if he loses it at that SummerSlam after Mania 40 that will be 4 years he held the title which should be enough. WWE is so stupid.
I think plans will change and he will drop it sooner. Cody needs to have his run too.

I think that with the internet completely destroying kayfabe and the popularity of mma and the ufc you can't do characters like the Undertaker anymore, wrestling now should be have a more "sport based presentation" to quote someone who couldn't keep his words. To me Undertaker was the last guy who represented a bygone era and it would have been insulting to stay in character for his induction. Now that era is officially over, and wrestling should move on. But Taker's career should absolutely be studied by younger talents, like many others before him.

@@kenrickeason That isn’t completely true. I knew wrestling wasn’t legit. However,nobody talked about “behind the scenes”. Sometimes,the industry was partially exposed by a TV show,but most of the fans didn’t see these shows and They didn’t show those kind of things in reruns. Then came the internet and a few websites popped up that gave you the whole rundown with all the alleged terminology. Much of it was stuff you kind of knew,but didn’t have a name for like Babyface,heels, push,hopespot,heat,shine etc. The business itself didn’t acknowledge any of this for the first few years. Then the Monday Night Wars started and both companies played the internet rumor game as part of storylines.

They water down more and more every year with the hall of fame. I enjoyed it when it was classier, it's supposed to be important, I liked it when it was longer and they used to encourage the fans to dress up, more of a red carpet feel, it was a show on it's own, not "stay tuned after smackdown"

I can't be mad about the Warrior award presentation, like it or not Dana is a link to that part of WWE history. I personally think Vince feels a sense of guilt about how Jim passed & feels like he has a responsibility to take care of his family. As for the rest of the program I wish Leon could've been there, but from what I've heard in various interviews from people like Corny & JR Leon rubbed a lot of people in the office the wrong way & was kinda pushy & needy. Just like the Steiner's he absolutely deserves to be there, I just wish Mick could've been there & given the family a bronzed ear to go along with their award, maybe he still will, who knows.
That said you could tell by listening to Leon's family that at home he was up there with Owen, Mick, & Piper as a family man & father. That's a good group of dads right there.

Taker has been doing alot of interviews these days. he's been on Stone Cold, Oat McAfee and several other podcasts. he admitted that he felt uneasy to do interviews at first and was worried about how he would be perceived by fans for his HoF speech.
They are entertainers and characters though lol . Jim needs to just let it go , Kayfabes been done for a while. I like the HOF , this guys gave so much , it makes them feel appreciated . That's why I dont get fans who knock the HOF, it means something to the wrestlers and that's all that counts.

The undertaker through that whole year was Mark calloway as a motorcycle biker and they made a mockery of his stupid gimmick that he had been doing throughout the 90s, and I'm almost certain that that gimmick didn't come back until many years later. I want to say WrestleMania 20 but I didn't watch it so I don't know for sure. But you cannot say that he did not break a fabe for however many years when he literally had a gimmick change where he was portraying Mark calloway. Not to mention the fact they did an angle in 1998 where he came out in sweatpants as Mark calloway complaining about the booking. You can blame Vince Russo for that but Vince Russo wasn't there during American badass

Yeah I think the undertaker one of the biggest stars in the history of the WWE so they say. Had the most fucked up Hall of Fame ceremony ever. Sitting in a rain you know no stage Madison square garden nothing, you know where where was the grandeur like Ric flair had and all these other wrestlers before him had why did these guys had the shittiest Hall of Fame ceremony ever? Usually they do it in a big Madison square garden arena before WrestleMania now they have it after SmackDown? Stupid as Hall of Fame I've ever seen!!
