Casio is making exactly what their G Shock fans wants. I think the Casio Oak line will be one of their future classics. The new ones with the solar and Bluetooth will definitely come in the same metal rubber combination. Great video 👍

What we want is stand alone mod kits with more customization.
Make it easy to switch faces and hands. Maybe make a kit to do it. Obviously void of warranty

Damn... never a G-shock fan, but the white GA-2100 caught my eye. Until now, I don't know how many videos I've watch, it's dragging my deeper and deeper into this 2100 series...
I bought the green one, and also the small version (GM-S2100) for my wife, also the green one. Both make great looking couple watches. The original rubber strap feels comfortable on the wrist. Too bad, the color of the hands is not too contrast, so they are not too legible. Lumes on the hands are also very poor, while the light will only lighten the digital display. Because of that legibility reason, I don’t wear them to work on daily basis. But I still love to wear it, especially when coupled with my wife on fun occasions, since they looked so cool. Best part about making my own Casioak is I get to choose the colors, especially the Positive screen.
I’ll be honest i was tired of the g shock line until this style came out and i was shocked definitely on my wishlist.
G-Shock never appealed to me but as soon as I saw this version I knew I wanted it. Got it yesterday and it really is awesome.
Great Video!! The metal 2100 face looks SICK with the AP style band. Doesn't need the full AP mod!!!
I had the blue version. Loved the comfort and overall quality. Big problem for me was the legibility. The dark hands are a flaw in my opinion. So I sold it.
I have several Casios and my only complain remains in this series too it's freaky shinie 😊😊nIce video man keep up.
I would be all over a G-Shock if they just went a little smaller. 38mm - 42mm would be the sweet spot and they would attract so many new customers. Look at the most popular watch sizes from high end manufacturers. 38mm to 42mm is probably 90% of their catalog.
GMS2100 is same design but 40.4mm

I am planning to convert the newest GA-B2100 with the GM-2100 and I will paint the dials with luminous paint.
It is sad to see, that Gshock does not include auto backlight in the analog solar models (only the digital ones have that feature).
The GST-B300 has a totally different case shape and dial configuration to the GM2100. I want a bracelet option and lumed indicies on the Casioak

Hello Andrei! First of all, I've got to say, this is one of the best videos I found on the GM-2100. Thank you! I just have one question - what is your wrist size? I have a smaller wrist size and I am wondering if the lug-to-lug of this would be too big for me.
I love my GM and to be fair is my go to watch for daily life. I have Tudors and a Tag Monaco and my GM gets far my wrist time. It gets more comments because people think I wear an AP to the beach or go hiking then any other watch I have owned. Plus after watching your video I think I may have to get an orange strap.

I just discovered the GM 2100 now in July 2024. I think Casio has knocked it out of the park, with this variant of the venerable G-Shock. As a collector of high-end Swiss watches to includes Rolexes and Cartier, I can attest to the great style the GM 2100 offers.
As a matter of fact the metal with the rubber strap looks better than the models with the metal bracelet and wear smaller. For me, is perfect right out of the box. I plan to use it as a super sporty / beater watch.
I wish I would have discovered this great fun watch sooner. I prefer the original GM 2100 as the blue tooth and solar charging options are not something that interests me. One huge benefit from not having a clue that this watch existed until very recently, is that GM 2100 has been out for a while. This allowed me to pick one up, new from ebay for believe it or not for $ 60. That is insane!!!

I have the GM2100 with blue metallic dial, I put it in a blue rubber AP homage kit. The watch has much more precense and draws a lot of attention. The rubber strap with the closing clasp brings this watch to the next level. Unfortunately I don't feel like wearing it in public as it looks now like way too much of an AP copy.

Maybe the EDIFICE EFS-S570D could be an alternative for the Casioak also? Great value for money.
The new GM version you show looks great however I prefer my GA2100HC-2A with its blue dial and white hour markers and lumed hands combined with a Mod Kit consisting of brushed and polished stainless steel case and screws with blue rubber strap & stainless steel deployment buckle.
It looks amazing. Weight 93 grams.

The newer metal bezelled version looks WAY better than ANY of the mods available.
Casio got the design absolutely spot on.
All those kits trying to make it look like something it's not, just look tacky and unoriginal.
Casio's design just looks SO MUCH BETTER and a G-Shock is always about being tough AND lightweight.
I disagree. I love g shocks but I find all the text they put on the bezel ugly. Also nobody's trying to pass off a Casio as an AP. It's just fun as an homage given their similar geometry

I do like the GM-2100 very much. The metal case is quite beautiful, and the silicone band is comfortable. I have the blue and the green models. The blue is converted to the SKXMOD, Gunmetal color. The green is going to stay original. I love the dials on these watches, only improvement I'd love to see is Bluetooth. Come on Casio, more Bluetooth options. Love SKXMOD kits.

It's truly amazing, the orange rubber strap looks like a nice touch, but I'm curious about how it looks with CasiOak-like bracelets.
I don't think there are any Casioak style bracelets available for this model. All of those bracelets are made to fit the Oak mod kit cases. The lug systems are totally different

Hey man, can someone help me with the exact model of the GM 2100 in the video please? Where i can find it, it looks beautiful.
I did consider, very carefully buying the GM-B2100 but it's very shiny, I'm not sure if I could be bothered to take the bracelet apart and apply a brushed finish to it. I dont really like the dial enough to go to all that effort. Personally I prefer the dials found on one or two of the GA/ GA-B 2100's paired with a Gen 4 mod case . Shame about the lack of sapphire crystal at this price too.

I just bought a GM2100.. I REALLY like it. My only complaint is that the hands are difficult to see against the dial. The alum face, black hands with grey not-lume the hands just don't stand out. I am considering getting different hands for more contrast.

I've got a couple [olive green and blue-grey}but never wear them .They're a bugger to set and the digital part of the display is unreadable .Look great and love em tho oddly.

I picked up the Green Dial GM-2100B-3A to pair it with a Casioak 3rd Generaltion All Metal Replacement Kit HOWEVER after removing the watch out of the Original Casio Metal casing, IT WOULD NOT FIT in the replacement kit I purchased - the casing of the replacement kit was too small and I did not want to force it and damage the original Casio watch.
I have done some research and the reason is that the GA-2100 series has an octagonal face whilst the GM-2100 metal Casio is CIRCULAR and therefore will not fit the casing. Enev the lugs on this metal version look wider.
I am now looking for an appropriate fourth or fifth generation kit (some come with a crown) that this Casio GM-2100 will slide into comfortably. Happy to share my findings or get help from anyone who has faced the same problem.

I received my GM-2100-ADR last week and I immediately bought SKX's Offshore kit. The band on the Casio is cheap and firm to the point of feeling brittle. It is completely unlike the rest of the watch's materials and does not align with the rest of the product. My reasoning is that I can enjoy both looks, with the mod being the likely workhorse. In this way, I will be preserving the original metal sleeve and band. At $90, the case and bracelet kit can be worn without concern that I am scratching or dinging thousands of dollars of watch. Of course, the G-SHOCK is only one of 20 watches I own, so it will be worn in rotation, and not likely to have any of the wear and tear of a typical G-SHOCK.

Hi brother. Thanks for another great video. I bought the casioak but unfortunately sold it 3 days later. I really really struggled with legibility.
Slight darkness or dark situations I could only read time if I used the back light. This was a no no as I need to see time at a glance due to my work.
