In my view, millah and deen are better than religion. Deen is about behaviours, belief system and virtues of good daily actions compined while it encompasses both individual actions and actions as community. So, no need to accept the term religion in islam, it is too restrictive and has its origin, culture and connotation. Less is shared with others. Good points Shabir!

WaAlekom Alslam warahmat Allah wabarakatoh , how are you brother Shabir ?🌹, when i translate the word religion its mean (deen) in Arabic , and deen mentioned in the Quran a lot and in Hadeeth , the word deen means several things in Arabic language 1- account , 2- habit , 3- obedience and more , Allah says in the Quran ( {وَمَن يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ} [آل عمران : 85] translation Chapter 3 ( 85 ) And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers. , And Allah says in the Quran ({هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ} [الصف : 9] translation chapter 61 (9) It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with Allah dislike it. , I Agree with you About the word science And how people misunderstand it but i don't Agree with the word religion , religion means to me Away of life that you will be held accountable in the day of accountability in sight of Allah either you believe in Allah or not , either you are on the way of Allah ( islam ) or not , either you subscribed to the word religion or not everyone Except Allah in A religion , and Allah knows the best .
Yes, the word "Deen" meaning "System of life" is used in Quran. Translations into another language are not Qur'an. Only the Arabic is Qur'an. "Religion" is an English word so NOT Quran. We Muslims have a "Deen", a "complete, comprehensive system of life". Understand?
Mr. Shabir God is a God of Covenants, mainly with Noah, Abraham & Jacob. If Muhammad was sent to all mankind, how does Muhammad fulfill these covenants?
