  • In today’s acrylic painting lesson we paint a landscape depicting a glowing fire on the lake. This relaxing painting tutorial is completed for the most part in real time and will cover the step by step process of how to paint fire, a camp fire more specifically, sparks, a glow and of course how to make it all look realistic. You can find the colors I used for this palette listed below in the description.

Wish I could climb into that painting and sit by that crackling fire. So peaceful looking.

As always amazing work. Just one request though, I wish you'd restart your 10 minutes painting series maybe once every week.

I just started painting with acrylics and stumped upon this video and watched all of it. You're an excellent teacher and really like the various techniques and color mixing for this fire crackling on the beach at night. Thank you! Color mixing has been the challenge so far.

My fire turned out a bit cartoonish…clearly didn’t listen to you tell me repeatedly to step back, hold the brush further back! 😂 Also opted for less crackling but I learned so much! Thanks for a fabulous lesson, it’s been ages since I picked up a paintbrush…thanks for inspiring me to do so. Time well spent.

His car is old? My goodness that bastard! Not the car! Lol lol then women wonder why they never meet that man with a heart of gold. They don’t understand that it’s not an accident that they can’t find someone because the man we choose is a reflection of who we truly are on the inside.
