- Acrylic Pouring Testing New Pouring Medium 'Mix' with Golden's Fluid Acrylics and High Flow Acrylics
Hello Friends! Welcome back to the garden! Today we are continuing to experiment and test Mix! The new pouring medium developed by two Artists for Artists! We are using it with that most elusive creature, Golden's Fluid Acrylics, and Golden's High Flow Acrylics!
The Golden's Fluid Acrylics are very thin, there is almost no body to them, and the High Flow are even thinner than that! Its like pure liquid pigment, and can be challenging to work with. That's why I was so excited to try them with the super thick creamy Mix.. lets see what happens!
My Colors are:
Colors
Golden's
High Flow
- Turquoise Phthalo
- Iridescent Gold Fine
Fluid Acrylics
- Transparent Iron Oxide
- Pthalo Blue
- Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold
- Van Dyke Brown
- Copper Irridescent
My Pouring Medium is:
MiX! by Karpata.Art
(Get it at www.Karpata.Art)
7:1 ratio, Mix : paint
There is NO Silicone
in Any of My Paint.
I layer my cup carefully down the side, keeping contrast in mind. I only really have one bright contrasting color though, the Gold..and it looked a bit thinner so I was hesitating using it. I pour the cup, and its very pretty but it is dark because there is not gold all through it. I decide to pour it again... its better this time with a really cool center design. As I stretch it out I take off some of the darker areas from the first pour and stretch the lines out to really open them up. There is beautiful separation of the colors, and my lines stay in tact through all the tilting.
The pour reminds me of the 'Rainbow Mountains' in China.. beautifully striated colorful mountains in Danxia Geographic Park in China.. so this pour is named Danxia. www.huffpost.com/entry/rainbo...
If you want to try out Mix yourself you can order it at www.Karpata.Art
Please remember its not a huge company, its two very nice ladies working really hard to create and ship by themselves. They are negotiating better shipping prices, and will soon be able to ship internationally. Please be patient and kind, they are doing an incredible job. It will be available everywhere very soon.
I appreciate you guys hanging out with me in the garden, and experimenting with me.. thank you for spending your time with us!
I hope you all have an incredible day! Much love to you!

This is a WOW piece!!!!! 😲😲😲 I loved the first one but good call on making it lighter and brighter!!! I’m so happy you did an all golden fluid and high flow painting. Shows the amazing power of Mix. I’m still working very hard to get the pricing affordable for international orders. As of right now it would be $67 just to Canada. Those customs charges are crazy!!! Hold tight my international friends. We are working on it!!!! 🥰🥰 I also agree with HOA it’s BITCHING 🤩🤩
love your mix now i need for dutch pour
Dawn Manka all you need to do is add water to consistency. Works great for a Dutch pour 😊
✌️😁🍀❤️
@@dawnmanka953 is your outdoor studio in a screened in area . What do you do about. Bugs snd insects getting on your paintings
@@makaylarhoades4169 Hiya, no screens outside... As rural as we wish to be, we still live close enough to a major metropolis that the bug population here is pretty low, compared to other places I've lived back east, and up north. That said, a bug does occasionally kamikaze into a painting in progress.
It used to be much worse in the drying shed, but I got some screen door openings that have really helped with that a lot.
A lovely person had suggested picnic table screen domes, which also help a lot for individual paintings, as long as they're not bigger than 20x20 or so...
Most of Mina's paintings are though, ROFL... 😅🤣✌️😁🍀❤️
WOW !!! Gorgeous !!! Was not expecting it to dry so bright and vibrant !!! I'm glad you did a report !!!
💐👑🥰🤗💜👏👍💐

It got so bright! Beautiful.
WOW!!!This is super amazing.. love it@
Mina it is really beautiful although I liked the first pour too. Look forward to more ❤❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹
Wow!!!! Talk about stunning!,,,
Really really loved the first one Mina, looked like a golden river flowing into a cave. Had a little cry (well felt like it😥) when you went to wash your cup. Just once when you dont like one cant you just get another canvas and do the pour you want to do, I think you would make a lot of people (?potential customers) very happy. Then you can please all of the people all of the time 😉.....just once pretty please? Oh well I tried...the 2nd one was nice too🤗thanks so much, certainly better than watching TV and we learn so much. Thanks also for replying when I have a question.
Very beautiful❤. Love it. Thank you Mina you are the best😘

Love th3 colors
Wow! That dried a lot lighter! I love it!
..and we shot the dried piece in full sun, like we always do.. It is shady when we shoot the videos, so there won't be glare on the wet paint, but we do the outro in full sun 🌞
way cool. It did lighten up!
Beautiful!!!
Awesome, love it ❤️
The original pour looked so magical. I saw a cave with water flowing thru.....
Love it! ❤
I love your laugh and of course you pictures too 😂😂😍😍
I love your hair like this too!
You are so awesome to watch and your husband is cool!
Beautiful! I have hesitated about using much brown in my pours but now I will just have to use some. Especially the Van Dyke Brown.
This is one of your most magnificent! Shocked how much lighter it dried. Yes it does remind me of the Red Rock Canyons. HOA almost always gives great advice and he has a sharp eye for composition.
Awwww, thanks! Cheers! ✌️😁🍀❤️
Love it💜💜💜
Holy crap! This painting IS bitchin’. I can’t believe how much brighter the dried version is. Lovely!
gorgeous!
The first initial pour looked like the reflection of the sun setting in the ocean...
I was thinking an ocean cave!
Pretty, pretty.
Wow, those lines look like rice terraces. Absolutely amazing..I had an "oh wow" moment when I saw it dry.
It turned out very pretty but I liked the under ground river
loved the first, then loved the second one too! Looks great dry, thanks for sharing x
Beautiful
Oh wow. I can't believe how different it looks after it dried. You would think that it was two separate paintings.. Love it.
Absolutely beautiful, I just love your happy personality. I love all of your artwork and how much thought you put into each piece you create. You are so creative, and you inspire me every time I watch you.
I really liked it before you re-poured it, but was so surprised how it lightened up in drying for an amazing end product! Love it! You do amazing work! Thank you for sharing it!
very beautiful
Absolutely STUNNING!!!! The color combo is amazing!!!! LOVE THIS!!!!!!
Watching you open these lines is amazing...you’re really in control 💟love this☮️thank you as always. And wow!
Stunning!! Again!! I love watching you pour... so mesmerizing.
That turned out absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing!
I kinda liked it before the 2nd pour. Still awesome. ❤️❤️
I love the depth in this painting, it reminds of the deep ocean.
As a man (64yo) I suppose I can agree it is a bitchen work but actually the colors and composition in the second pour are incredible!! I feel motion and action❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Teddy!
I love, Love, LOVE to watch you paint! This painting is spectacular!
Stunning both times, first pour reminded me of an underground river running into a tunnel from a chasm and the second pour reminds me of the multi coloured sandstone ridges from the American Southwestern areas. Take care and stay safe.
Pretty darn cool!!!! Amazing how light it dried
I am patiently waiting for my MIX. This painting is one of my faves. The colors are incredible and it does remind me of the painted desert. I live in Arizona. Beautifully done Mina.. 😺❤🤗💗
awesome ...
"Bitchin'" for sure, lol!! Honestly, when I first saw it dry I was immediately HAPPY!! This reminds me of a sunset reflection off wet sand at the beach - absolutely stunning!! ❤️
Beautiful! Love the colors! Oh no! Can’t believe you are going to pour over it! That’s still beautiful! Wow! Did that lighten up! Gorgeous!
I am loving...leave it as is.
Oh, that is gorgeous! I love Nickle Azo Gold! It showed through, beautifully!
Mina, first and foremost I just want to thank you for your upbeat, fun and very helpful tutorials. It’s a pleasure to learn with laughter. Now this one had me scared when you decided on a 2nd cup😱. But alas it turned out so beautifully. You are the tilting queen! ❤️,Pam
Those colours are freakin amazing , they look so wonderfully thick & creamy😻
