    I use them for plastic modeling - they airbrush beautifully. They also have the major mixing colors so you can make about any color you want to .

    I was hoping to see the white. I like the black and gray for opacity...

    Omg these look Perfect!! I put my acrylics through a process where I add flow aid and water and then paint the canvas with absorbent ground- combining this achieves a watercolor look with acrylics and is really quiet cool and pretty! I think these paints would be AMAZING for this style I’m developing!!

    I just bought these. But I did not expect them to be so pigmented and vibrant. 😱

    Yes, I have an art supply obsession too. It’s an expensive habit. I want to use them all. Sadly paint sometimes goes bad, leaks, or gets hard 😞 but I have some lascaux fluid that are 20 years old found in a clearance bin. They are a French predecessor to these.

    Have you tried their “So Flat” range? They’re delicious I can’t get enough of them, I was tossing up between this range and so flat to recreate animation cels I think you’d LOVE how intense they are.

    Have you used high flow paints on cotton canvases, if so, did you prep your canvas with a particular sealer? Thanks so much!

    I 100% understand your art supply addiction! I have way more art supplies than I do works of art from using them lol. I wish there were better art stores near me that I could go physically shop at. eBay has become a whole other separate addiction for buying my art supplies lol. so, you’re not alone!! Thanks for sharing!

      I love connecting with people who share my passion for art supplies. I'll get back to filming again as soon as I can. We're still recovering from the hurricane. Hopefully it won't be much longer. 😊

    The alizarin crimson appeared to swatch differently than the rest. Do you feel it has a different consistency than the other paints?
    It almost looks like it absorbed into the paper before you could spread it as much as you were able to spread the others.

    Is the white opaque? The colors definitely look more vibrant than other acrylic inks like FW.

    Hi. I've just bought some Golden high flow acrylic paints to do an acrylic pour for the 1st time. Do I mix these paints with floetrol or paint medium 1st before using? Hoping you say yes, as it'll be a very expensive pour! Very much a novice atm....

    • @MyArtSupplyObsession
      @MyArtSupplyObsession  Před 2 lety +1

      For a beginner I would recommend using Floetrol. It will be more affordable for you so you can see if Flow Painting is even something you like doing. It will perform fine for that purpose. If you decide you like Flow Painting I would suggest getting a good pour medium. I like Liquitex. ☺By the way: I prefer using a heavy body paint with my pouring medium for flow paintings. I have had great success that way. A small amount of paint to a good amount of pour medium. Add a small amount of GAC 800 from Golden. Play around and find the ratio that works for you.

    May I ask what the # number is on your turquois color? I ordered it from Amazon and the Golden turquoise (pthalo) I got is a bright turquoise and not muted like yours. Mine is spelled turquoise (pthalo) with an “e” at the end. Ughhh

      Sorry to trouble you again, I’m having difficulty finding the turquoise in 8550-1 series 4. Did you buy it in a set or individually?

    • @tonaaspsusa
      @tonaaspsusa Před 3 lety +2

      @@143ArtandSoul "series 4" only means what series of price it is in. -1 is the size, 8550 is the color number (that it starts with an 8 means it is High Flow).
      With that name you should have had the same color - this is very weird. The offensively bright one is Teal (8547), no cobalt turquoise in High Flow. The Fluid version of Turquoise (Phtalo) (2390) looks quite a bit more green-bright -ish, might that have been what you had?
      Anyway, here's the Dick Blick link for it
