Teach Your Dog to Fetch (drop)

Fetch is one of the best and fun ways to teach multiple behaviors! Training should be fun and a game. Let’s help your puppy achieve some basic skills. You can teach your puppy sit, come, drop, and get it all in one fun game. Go pick up two similar tennis balls to get started. This game is perfect if you have a dog who constantly picks things up off the ground. This will help so that they can drop it without you having to stick your hands in their mouth. It is a wonderful resource guarding preventative since you teach them to come bring objects to you and drop them for you. You build a natural trust with your dog that you won’t take things away from them, so they do not feel like they have to guard any object they obtain. Have fun with your dog and be patient and you will see the results you were looking for.
