  • The fully foiling gybe is the bench mark move in windfoiling. This video will take though the steps of how to setup, manage height and get through the full gybe without touching down.

I practiced the footwork. This video makes much more sense as to the foot placements than many others. Well done vid, I'm hoping to be more consistent in my gybes this year.

How big is the sail your using and how much wind? Trying to get a feel for what equipment to be looking at getting for a first setup.

Thanks for the series. Question : when I gybe I have got my sail hit by wind from the opposite direction. It reduces the speed (or I crash) and the foil drops to the water. What should I do to make sure there is always wind pressure downwind during the turn?

Hi Andrey, That is definitely one of the biggest challenges with gybing a wind foil.
Focus on getting your front hand back by the harness lines, and extending the mast forward as you gybe. You can then slice the sail to the outside of the turn without have to push. This will stop teh wind hitting the wrong side of the sail.
