  • In a recent livestream, I was asked the question, "How do I build the basics of a proper productivity system?"
    1. Capture
    2. Pick a basic tool (I recommend Todoist or the Bullet Journal)
    3. Lightly organize
    4. Do a weekly review

You bet! I have to remind myself of this *so often* too.

I have tried so many task management apps over the years. No matter which I use, the key to making them work is to revisit them constantly and have a set routine for reviewing tasks and figuring out what you are going to do on a given day. For me, I review my tasks every morning. I decide which tasks I am going to do that day, which I am going to put off for another day, etc. Apple Reminders works really well for me.

You've got it. It's about the system of routines and habits you build, not the tool you use.

I create Project and divide into tasks which have Date, But Some Task I just decide THE WEEK will do it, (not decide the specific day, but the week). Then Everymorning I will look at the Tasks I have to do this Week and decide which task I will do today. Assign Week will do the task --> Then Each day choose Task of this week to be done. I use Coda Doc (for tracking Project, planning project) and then GG Task and GG Calendar and Write Today's Todolist each morning. So 3 places for my tasks. It sound "many" but it's really get things done. And in fact, what I really look at much is the Journal Today's Todolist.

Ta for this. I'm going to have to start keeping most of my tasks in Logseq (or Obsidian, haven't decided which) and then moving all the tasks for 'THIS WEEK' to Todoist, as part of my weekly review.

I looked at both and went with Obsidian - and the integration with Todoist (and many other things) is handy.

Very interesting approach! I need to do a deeper dive into Logseq.
