- Apprehension starting my ride across Corsica. The ring road traffic pushes me into the mountains. The start was less than positive, but as I got higher into the mountains, it was time to reset and enjoy the ride!... until the hail came.

Does this video make you want to explore Corsica?
BTW those are mountains. Not hills.
Definitely!
On a moped 😆
Matt you are one tough guy. That looks like a very tough ride. I learned one thing from your video, Corsica he’s not a good place to ride the trike
@@richglaser4566 Hail and mountains are still better than cars.
Matt, you are THE MAN! Can't believe you triked through alll those mountains-I mean real maintains! The footage of the countryside is amazing. thanks for sharing a meal with us. It looked like it tasted delicious. Keep it up.
Yes!!
Happy Father's Day to you Mat👍
Matt. Am loving your journey. Will never get to Italy or Corsica, so keep traveling. I am right beside you. The places you stay look great as does the food. Safe travels!
I REALLY like that remote mountain road ... what a great place to pedal in peace!
steve
What the Hail? and pigs too! Extremes etch deeper memories.
Hahahah. Good title.
The drone videos are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is an amazing video your adventures are so inspiring for me to get out there and ride.
i love to hear that
Love to tag along on one of these rides 😊
Good filming of a beautiful country.
Excellent drone shooting.
“It’s big hail!” **picks up pea**
/laughs in Texan. Biggest hail I’ve seen here was BASEBALL sized! Still not something I want to ride through if I can avoid it. 😁
Great video as always Matt!
Haha. Baseball size would have ended the tour. And my camera.
Awesome drone footage of the hill.
Maaaaaan! I want to ride on that road that you shot with the drone.... Beautiful ✌
Good picking Annie
Honza is great.. He really took care of me getting my AZUB T-Tris outfitted custom for me. Really appreciate AZUB for their customer service.
yea.. hes a rockstar
I see that you are a poet "They spun and spun, it was not fun"
Hey there. Glad to.see you back on the road. Missing riding. Just had a fall broke my elbow. Counting the days till I can ride again. Keep safe looks amazing.
I’m sorry for your fall
the guy cursing at you could be the farmer owning the gate ;-)
Lol. Maybe!
I told you man . Corsica is very tough ! ! 🎉🎉And nothing compared to the french Alps or Pyrenees. This will be a very body demanding affair. Have a good ride 🎉
Love it
Glad to see my info on the local ruffians was unfounded and/or outdated - other than the annoyed drivers yelling at you, but that's kinda par for the course when cycle touring. The beautiful terrain makes me wish I was touring with you. :) Ja Yoe!
Hahah yea. I was happy you were wrong
@@JaYoeNation yeah, the wife (and the internet) might have been referring to conflicts in the larger 'cities', which you pretty much stayed out of, or were not there for any length of time to notice. And the more I read, it was primarily between the pro-French, and not so pro-French. You certainly never got any closer to that than seeing graffiti. 😄 All in all, looked like a good ride. I mean you can't lose with free offers of wine and sausage, followed by rotisserie chicken! Ja yoe, indeed! 🍾🍗
I would need whiskey after that, and I’m not a drinker. Fun !!!
WoW … great scenery and a nice ride (even if you got hailed on …)
The hail made it more exciting
The morning started out with a lot of traffic, an irate Corsican, but ended in beautiful mountainous Corsica. Pigs, Cows, and dogs are a lot better to deal with most times than people.
Who would have expected a hail storm while wearing sandals? 😮
Keep on Triking!
Hey, that s my trike !!! lol
What was going through Honza's mind? He neglected to map out a path to the mountain's summit. 😄
hi Matt.. my feet do the same when they get cold. I put several layers of paper towel in the bottom of the shoe, and put drops of olive oil on it with extremely light sprinkling of cayenne powder.. (very light)... monitor your feet and don't use too much cayenne, this gets blood flowing..
interesting.. ill have to try that.
@@JaYoeNation remember just a small sprinkle.. too much can burn the bottoms of your feet. and monitor the a
amout of time. an hour is about right.
Judging by your facial expressions, you are thoroughly enjoying this tour of Corsica.
Welcome to world cycling, by the way only ponchos work with Recombinant in rain, front zipper will never work. Rain hits you there straight on. Should try smaller island like Australia 😂..! Only 14% at times French famous for 18+% grade's maybe because was Italian Island first 😂..! All EU heavy rains this season way bike traveling goes..! Good luck keep enjoying..
PS the traffic circle is called a Roundabout..!
If you make it to Sardinia, make sure you check out the SS125 road, definitely one of the most scenic I've done on a bike on 5 continents.
I don't know if I could do this trip without my battery.
Wow that rural road looks awesome! Not so much the towns... I mean they are quaint but traffic seems crazy there! Were you able to pick up any difference in culture from Corsica and Italy?
Corsica was much more laid back and sparsely populated in the countryside.
It looks like my 20km daily ride to work on my trike lol
thats an awesome daily ride
⚔️💪😎👍🏴
Matt man you truly are a level headed guy because I would have told that Frenchmen to kiss my @xx lol people can be so rude for no reason. I loved this ride from the beginning to that little village where you got a cup of coffee. Omg I thought those pigs were cows at first lol 😂
what does that sideways triangle graffiti symbol mean?
It means they should flatten all those damn mountains.
Thank you for this amazing trip. I spent my childhood in Corsica and it is a marvelous and unique island. The Corsicans are cold at first sight but they treat you like family if they know you a little. The triangle graffiti is the symbolized or schematized island of Corsica. The graffiti are written in Corsican. As you have probably seen, the Corsicans are very proud of their home...
Hey Matt! How would you compare the Azub w the Tiger Duck? Better? Also what’s going to happen with the duck??
Be well!
The duck is with my friend in Australia. May be a reunion someday
Thanks for the great videos ! Have you ever regretted choosing a trike over a Bycicle ? I am currently trying to decide between the two for a summer trip …. Thanks !
Im always thinking of that. There’s a give and take to everything. But I’m happy with my trike and what it does for me. Maybe if I traveled by plane a lot…. I’d choose an upright.
But there is absolutely nothing more comfortable.
What do you do with your trike when you stay in a hotel?
Lock it in the garage. It’s always secure I never had a problem
becareful you do not loose your phone on the ferry rides this time. Ha Ha.
Hahahah
When are you going back to china?
Maybe you need some waterproof socks.
You are a good observer, the grafitis on walls and traffic signs pierced with bullets. The graffitis honor independentist militants and are anti french government. Corsican are montaign people, tough people. Across centuries invaders from all parts came from the sea.
