I will make a Let’s Play for that, but I intend to do my usual in-depth style, so I’ll have to play it myself first (probably more than once) before I can do that. I'm playing through The Longest Journey series (about 25% the way through Dreamfall: The Longest Journey right now), and just as I did when I discovered the series about 5 years ago, I'm watching your playthroughs a few episodes behind, so I can see you pick up on things I have missed. It is very relaxing late night viewing. Thanks for that. I've enjoyed all your Point and Click playthroughs - I never played them when I was younger, because I'm way too old! Never grew up with computers or other gaming devices - I was watching black and white TV when I was a kid! But Blade Runner, and the Star Trek ones (for example) were great - they had passed me by. So thanks for giving me the chance to catch up on all those adventures!
After watching your always amazing videos, I watched another person’s perspective of the upcoming Riven remake, and discovered there are iOS app versions of the three original Myst games (Myst, RealMyst and Myst Legacy) and Riven Legacy.
maybe the reason the speedrun achievement is secret is because it reveals that you can technically "beat" the game in only 2 minutes, which kinda has some somewhat spoilery implications about the nature of the game, namely, that the end is actually really close to the beginning. just a guess, though. ps. i beat Firmament two nights ago (and got the 2 achievements i missed last night), i hope you're enjoying it for yourself right now too, and i can't wait to see your let's play on it eventually!

The maze in Selenitic actually can be solved without visiting Mechanical. I won't give a boring walkthrough or anything, but suffice to say it involves process of elimination.
If I may make a recommendation, the campfire space game Outer Wilds is a puzzler explore-em-up with its own logic to learn, set in an intricately designed solar system and set in a groundhog day style 22 minute time loop. You can take your time as there's no actual issue with restarting the loop, all your information is knowledge-gated, and it has an excellent story that I love deeply. If you have need for a blind playthrough to enjoy the puzzle solving energy, I reccomend it heavily!
I tried playing Outer Wilds, but I couldn't get into it. Constantly having to start over, having to get back to where I was, just killed the fun for me.
what about a half life alyx playthrough at some point or just half life in general? i'm also exited for the new mass effect game coming out at some point
How far are you into finishing Firmament on your own? I'm currently stuck on a certain underwater puzzle. I can't really say more than that. But if you've played that part, I'm sure you know what I mean.
As a backer of Firmament and without any spoilers, here is my assessment: I really really really miss the Myst series. I downloaded the game a few hours ago and I finished it already, so that should tell you something also. ( 5 or 6 hours to finish) Again, I really miss Myst and the old Cyan. Myst IV was a masterpiece after having spent the last few hours with Firmament...seriously.
They could remake Atrus model to be realistic like his actual human representation now with Unreal 5.2 and A.I generation. Still not the same as actual actors. Maybe do some speed run.
Hey Dilandau3000, do you think you will ever play the King’s Quest 2 VGA, King’s Quest 3 Redux, and Space Quest II VGA game remakes? Those 3 games are mostly the same as the original AGI versions of those games you played, but they do have some major differences, Quality of life improvements and they add some new things over the originals that you played years or even over a decade ago. I think you would enjoy them. They add quite a few things that the originals did not have, such as voice acting new puzzles and other things like that. I don’t know if you will play King’s quest 1 VGA or Police Quest 1 VGA, those are mostly the same as the original AGI versions of those games but with a Point and Click user interface so I don’t know if you would play those 2 games.
This version kind of sucks. In the original the rain adds to stone ship, and when you turn the underwater lights on, there's this music that kicks in which is absent in this version. Where's the wind that gets louder the higher you go in channelwood?
