    Looks a great jacket ,points about the liner I would wear the waterproof liner and the jacket as I do in my merlin jacket without .so I would use a separate drop down liner with this jacket ,I'm in the Market for an airbag and this looks to be just the ticket I use the merlin add on airbag at the moment ,and my partner has now the safety of using this with her merlin jacket .it would be interesting to see if it activates if you stumble as you dismount your bike which the merlin monimoto will as the lanyard is pulled as you fall .

    It seems a very good product.... only a question: how can i keep clean this jacket? I don't think that it's possible to wash

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před 10 dny +1

      Yup, that'll be an issue with the airbag in situ and not removable. Best you can do is refresh the lining with spray sanitiser like this... www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/338997 Cheers, Tony

    I was just building up to buy - but if I'm off roading in the rain I'm going to be hot and want to stay dry - I won't want the thermal liner in, so thats a deal breaker for me which is a real shame. I was also looking to find out when the air bag would kick in. I wouldn't want it with a low speed of road tumble - but a faster one yes. I saw guys on the paris dakar were wearing in&motion air bags so I guess these are getting pretty clever

      Thanks for getting in touch, Pete. I hear you on the whole waterproof/thermal combined thing and RST know my thoughts on it. As for the airbag trigger speed, we are planning a video all about the In&Motion set-up and we'll ask those questions as part of that. Cheers, Tony

    Thank you for your reply.
    Which of the 3 jackets is most suitable for cold wind? Which one offers better insulation?
    I need a resistene jacket for L'inveno, which one do you recommend?

    Some time in the last ten years or so, perhaps around the same time “literally” came to mean the literal opposite of what it actually means, the word “review” began to mean “description.” Which is what that was. It was literally a description. Not a review. Perhaps this is because people can get a description from the manufacturer (as I did) and so perhaps wouldn’t click on something called a “description.” Once we’ve obtained a description, we’re curious how it works in real life, the comfort and utility over miles and an account of the real world functionality by a knowledgeable and unbiased user. AKA, a review.
    Based on many of the comments here, and all of the questions they have, plenty of people agree with me.

    Adventure jacket Pro Series, does it run big in the sizes, I’m a 46.5 inch chest do I go 48nch jacket or a 50inch jacket. Thanks

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před rokem +1

      Looking through the customer reviews there are very mixed opinions on this (even more so than is usually the case). Most say the sizing is true, but some people say they needed to go up two or even three sizes. I would start with the 48in as you have an inch or so room anyway. If you're buying from us, you are able to return free of charge for refund or replacement if you try it on and the size isn't right for you. Alternatively, you can order to one of our seven stores around England to try on before purchase. Cheers, Tony

    Not a fan of the proprietary 'brains' part of the jacket. Shame as it looks nice!

    things are missing:
    Replacing the air can if the airbag gets deployed
    how long the airbag battery will last

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for getting in touch. The battery life is 20 hours of continuous riding from a 2-3 hour charge. Agree that much of the airbag info is missing from this video. As it's the same airbag in many different garments we felt it better to make one in-depth video about the airbag, and link to it from the garment vids, rather than repeat ourselves in depth across loads of different videos. Trouble is, we've not made that airbag video yet, so apologies for the lack of info as yet. Cheers, Tony

      @@sportsbikeshop do you need to remove the In&Motion system from the jacket to recharge it, or can you plug a cable directly in the jacket itself?
      lastly, I can see that the same jacket is sold in the non-airbag version, does this mean that the airbag can be removed and store it separately?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před 3 lety

      It's not possible to plug a cable into the jacket. The In&box part of the system slides out of the housing in the jacket and then is recharged through a micro USB cable. It's not possible to remove the airbag, which is permanently fixed inside the jacket. Thanks again for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

    Give a set to the American magazine, "CONSUMER REPORTS" for pertinent testing; their approval rating will get me to buy a set.
