For anyone who's interested, the toy that Ricky thought was called a Bollock, is actually called Bohrok. It's from the Bionicle line of toys from Lego. I used to have one.

I love that you can listen to these time and time again and still pick up on new absurd bits years later. Ive only just clocked that Karl, talking about turtles, says ‘when they go swimming’ like they don’t basically spend all their time swimming 😂
And "carrying loongs about an that" to describe what nurses have done to merit a knighthood.
I caught one the other day, I can’t remember which episode but at some point halfway through the boys are absolutely scolding poor Karl and roasting him about one of his silly doings/sayings, and as they go on the track “Mad World” starts fading in as their torment of him starts fading out… it made me laugh so much when I caught it, it was so appropriate and I wondered if Karl did it in purpose 😂

Trivia for manmothites: John Updike was the novelist behind the quote Steve was on about...."fame is a mask that eats into the face" (although I think the actual quote is "celebrity", not "fame" - steve improved it).
I've listened to these shows about 30 times, but never bothered to look it up before :) Apologies to Updike. (Apologies also for never finishing Rabbit.)

Thanks so much for sharing/uploading these. I always love how well Ricky takes it whenever Steve has a go at him about his poor diet. Even in the moments when Steve goes a bit too far and starts calling him “scum”, Ricky’s still just laughing along. So refreshing.
Jokes on Smerch and Gervais, Orange Goblin and Grand Magus have and still are touring and playing multiple festivals!

Funnily enough I used to actually own a few Bionicle "Bohroks" (not "Bohlock" as Ricky thinks).
I hadn't thought of that! I always assumed he meant bow locks (whilst hinting at the gonads), more like a crossbow type toy for kids, maybe with a shitty suction pad at the end of the bow :p like something for your action man.

Interesting fact for those who want the real answer to the question they asked about reading out the radio frequency at around 4:00. Back when radio was the main form of regional communication, all radio stations were required to read out the frequencies they were broadcasting on at regular intervals. This requirement still exists today even though radio is mostly used for music and entertainment purposes. Most radio stations just make it part of their 'jingles' between songs or whatever so it follows the theme of the station better.
