- David Adams explores the stories of the African pharaohs in Sudan. Sudan is one of the remaining frontiers in the world. Once upon a time, this vast desert country was home to a sophisticated and intriguing civilisation. An ancient monarchy that was Africa's crown jewel. Egypt was previously ruled by a kingdom. Kush is the name of a kingdom. On a journey into the land of the Black Pharaohs, David Adams goes down the Nile from Lake Nasser to Khartoum in pursuit of the enigmatic country of pyramid builders and sun worshippers.

These folks are still trying to act like the only black pharaohs ruled during the 25th dynasty when the truth of it is that blacks not only ruled in Egypt through multiple dynasties, but they founded the civilization.
What's even more hilarious there in Africa 😅 its like common sense who was ruling....
Nothing new, pharaohs were white the black are conquerors very popular and powerful lie still being propagated by so-called historians
I am with you on that !
No, they did not. Egyptians were multi-racial society. Yes, tehre were more Black Pharaohs than 25th dynasty, but stop acting as if Egypt was Black kingdom - it was NOT. It was Meduterranean.
@@8thApostle African does NOT mean Black.
Egypt is in Africa and Sudanese and Egyptian are BLACK.
Hhhhhhh noooo brother
One is black and the other is blue black
Nubia is much older than Egypt. It is misleading to title this video Black Pharaoh when in fact Egypt was a Black African Civilization
Right, somehow they made being the darkest people in Africa the only way to be “Black”
Nonsens. Kush did not exist at all when Egypt was created. Egypt was Mediterranean civillization, NOT Black one.
@@Fridaynightparty It's not about colour, it's about face features. Egyptians were not what is today considered Black. Not all people with brown skin are 'Black' Africans.
😂😂😂😂 ده عند أمّك 😂😂@@pendragonsxskywalkers9518
@@pendragonsxskywalkers9518your idiot
Why does he keep saying the "Black" pharoahs. What were the other pharoahs? He also refers to the "Black" ones as African as if Egypt is not in Africa.
Its weird right, neither group called themselves black to my knowledge but somehow only one is “Black”
Politics 😊
Other Pharaohs have different skin tones. Egyptians were multi-racial, there were dark and light skinned rulers. Pharaohs of 25th dynasty are the only CERTAIN Black Pharaohs. I agree, he shouldn't distinguish them as 'African' Pharaohs. Most Pharaohs were Africans. But that doesn't mean they were Black.
@@pendragonsxskywalkers9518 Then how do you account for Khufu (Cheops), second pharoah of the FOURTH dynasty...the one known for the Giza pyramid ? He was very dark/ CERTAINLY Black AND he was from the OLD Kingdom. I would love to hear your explanation.
@@cocoapuff134 1) ' He was very dark' - Please, show me your source. There are no contemporary images of him, only small statue made many hundreds years after his times. In fact we have images of his family members like Prince Rahotep and his wife he with reddish skin, she with light skin. 2) Even if Khufu was Black, that doesn't change anything. I never said there was no Black people in Egypt. Egypt was mixed society. Some Egyptians would be viewed as Black today, but many others would be not. Classify Egypt as Black is like classifying as such US - it does not hold up. Ramesses II was light skinned and red-headed, however I do NOT claim all Egyptians looked like him. Egypt was incredible diverse place with both dark and light individuals.
His bold jump from the moving train was probably a little less exciting than when the camera guy did it first.
And they weren’t Egyptians, they were the founders of Kemet. Kemetian civilization began in the south and developed as it traveled up the Nile.
Egypt and Sudan and South Sudan are friendly in North African
Best black people of Africa are the same Way in Egypt
Good for Nubians history in that time of ancient Egyptian and sudanese
I took this very same journey in 1983. Not much has changed.......
This is such a nice show and channel, glad I subscribed
I’ve seen like 30 ads but not enough of the pyramids themselves 😢
Tell the truth cause we all know how well you all can twist the facts and make it your story! All praise to the Most High that we are finally waking up to our true story ✊🏾✊🏿
They make everything about race when most times it's about resources and power.
@@yourssincerely442 power is why they use race as an excuse.
The pharaoh was called the “ruler of the TWO lands.” Wore a double crown of vulture and cobra symbolizing upper and lower Egypt. On top of this, they didn’t consider themselves conquering…they were reINSTALLING ancient Gods and customs. 💯✊🏾✌🏾
Thats one hell of a journey 🎉
Am I the only one who thinks those H blocks in front of the Sudanese pyramids look like Puma Punku? 🧐
I think that the term “black pharaohs” is a misleading term, because there were no white-skinned pharaohs unless they were from the occupying Greeks.
All pharaohs were black until the Greeks
No, they were not. Egyptians were mostly Mediterranean people. 22-23 dynasties were light skinned Libyans. 14th and 15th dynasties were from Levant. Please, learn history, before start publishing nonsens. Egypt was Mediterranean civillizattion. NOT Black one.
@@pendragonsxskywalkers9518 l suppose you learnt your history from Hollywood. No wonder you know so little. Ancient Egypt was a BLACK civilisation. I know this is hard for you to accept.
@@ajibolaobe2780 You clearly didn't read my comment. Hollywood never did movie about Pharaohs of dynasties that I had mentioned in my comment. Ancient Egypt was North African Mediterranean civillization, neither Black nor White. The one who has problem with accepting reality is you.

What about Libyan and Hyksos pharaohs? Not black!!!

How to guage if a civilization is still racist: refer to title of this video. Europeans just can't let it go.

I think this whole kushite vs egyptian thing is so stange, evryone knows that egypt is in the continet of egypt, lol egyptians kushites they are all still african! Eyewitness to ancient egyptian phenotype:
Herodotus: The ancient Greek historian who lived in the 5th century BCE described the ancient Egyptians as having black skin and woolly hair in his work "Histories."
Strabo: The ancient Greek geographer and historian who lived in the 1st century BCE described the Ethiopians (a term that could refer to people from various parts of Africa) as having black skin and woolly hair, and noted that some people considered the Egyptians to be of the same race.
Diodorus Siculus: The ancient Greek historian who lived in the 1st century BCE described the Ethiopians as having dark skin and curly hair, and noted that some people considered the Egyptians to be of the same race.
Plutarch: The ancient Greek philosopher and historian who lived in the 1st and 2nd centuries CE wrote that the Egyptians were "black with heat" due to the climate of their homeland.
Al-Masudi: The 10th-century Arab historian and geographer described the ancient Egyptians as "a black people, different-looking and woolly-haired."
Jean-Francois Champollion: The 19th-century French scholar who deciphered the hieroglyphs of ancient Egypt noted that some ancient Egyptians depicted themselves with darker skin tones than those of their neighbors.

Herodotus: The description of the Egyptians as having "black skin and woolly hair" can be found in Book II, Chapter 22, which begins with the sentence "For my part I hold that the Colchians, the Egyptians, and the Ethiopians..."
Al-Masudi: The passage describing the Egyptians as "the darkest of all humans" can be found in Volume 1, Chapter 3, on page 52 of the edition I consulted.
Jean-Francois Champollion: In his "Lettre à M. Dacier relative à l'alphabet des hiéroglyphes phonétiques," Champollion does not use the term "black" to describe the ancient Egyptians. Rather, he argues that they were of African origin, based on linguistic and cultural evidence. The full text can be found at the link I provided earlier.
In his work "Bibliotheca Historica" (Historical Library), Diodorus Siculus proposed a theory that the Egyptian civilization had Nubian origins. He argued that the culture, religion, and knowledge of the ancient Egyptians had been heavily influenced by the indigenous people of Nubia. He based this hypothesis on his observations of the similarities between the two cultures and the existence of Nubian elements within Egyptian society and religion.
I guess al Masudi, Strabo, aristotle diodorus sicilus and plutarch are not credible too huh? What about the man who deciphered the hieroglyphs himself calling them negro africans, Jean Francois champollignon? You Euro-centrist are absolutely delusional.
