- 11 months after shoulder surgery i have decided to return to the gym. My recovery process after surgery has not gone as i wanted, however after 11 months of taking conflicting advice its time for me to take control. I have decided that the only way for me to get better is to strengthen my whole body while getting fit and healthy. If life gives you lemons im going to make lemonade and add creatine and protein with it. Its time to get healthy and strong again so lets do this......
12 week body transformation starting soon along with my 2 week challenges.

Welcome back! It's good to see you on this channel! Looking forward to seeing your progress!
Hey Bill. Great to see you back man!
I've been due for an open bankart repair because of labrum tear issue and recurrent dislocations.
Like you I've been passionate about training my whole life. I understand the struggles when you can't do what you're passionate about to the full of your ability.
I'm seriously contemplating getting the surgery . My Dr's office is extremely disorganized, the surgeon is well recommended though.
Like you said, if something happens post op you're the one who goes through the pain and struggle not them.
I wish you all the luck and strength when you get back. I will continue to watch your videos and support you as much as I can.
Tc dude!
Yeah it sucks aye just got out me sling last week, same thing as you. Did you get injured during sports?
You're awesome bro. Thanks for posting. Can you comment on how's your ROM now? Any pain? All the best with the comeback to the GYM. Sure you'll do great!
Welcome back bill
Welcome back,i like your videos. i want to ask you how to gym with a tennis elbow problem.
Good for you Bill. Thanks for sharing. I had a bike accident 2 years ago and tore my shouldr labrum and have had continued problems with it. The problem has now moved to under the scapula (snapping scapular syndrome) where I have constant pain. I know that its the instability of the shoulder that is causing the issue. I'm considering surgery but am also looking at stem cell treatment / prp. Have you considered this?
I hope you doing great bro I just got my second shoulder surgery and I understand how you exactly feel
THERE HE IS

I think this is a great idea Bill. Love your enthusiasm in getting ready to beat this process - i hope you are able, as you are certainly capable, to reengage with your fitness the way it seems you always used to. Now after learning all there is to shoulder mechanics and how your shoulder feels through PT, use those tools to protect yourself as you chase the bigger goal of training. I believe it
Thanks, sooo much better already 👍
Hi Bill, were your sutures knotless or knotted? Do you also have any squeaking in your shoulders post repair?
If you could go back in time would you have waited longer than 6 weeks before starting Physio ?
Hey man great to see an update! I recently had surgery in my labrum and just wondering if anytime during your post surgery process did you have and burning or tingling in your shoulder blade to around the back of your armpit area ?
Yes 👍
Bill you still feel like your shoulder might dislocate? What do doctors say about it
I am starting pt today which is 10 days in
I had shoulder surgery almost a year ago my shoulder feels good until I go to the gym then it hurts again
Do bicep with full diet, let us know the result! Miss you.
Hey Bill! I got surgery on my shoulder in January 2018. I did a year of PT and I feel almost new! Im just doing a bit of back work outs now because thats the only weakness. Also, Try Wobenzym N!!!!!! Its a clinically studied joint enzyme supplement. Its a bit pricy, but that helped me SO much. Have a good journey man
Thanks much appreciated 👍
Hi Bill, could you do a one year update? Thanks, hope you're doing better.
woops, looks like this was an 11 month video. Perhaps a 1.5 year update at this point ^.^
Getting this surgery soon, what is your 2/3 years view on the surgery?
Hey Bill, how is your shoulder now?
I had a labrum reconstruction 5.5 months ago and I still get dull achey pain and clicking in my shoulder, I am currently still taking anti inflammatory tablets, might need a cortisone shot in a few months if the pain does not reduce. Nevertheless I am still training in the gym, just not pushing my self hard, especially for exercises involving the shoulder. Thanks for sharing BIll, I think getting back to the gym is the correct decision for you at this point of your recovery 😀
Mate I got the same thing, aching and all its a gonna be a tough recovery process but hang in there brother keep fighting cause your not alone
I am at 5 weeks and I know the feeling I tore my labrum. I had no anchors put in and had a bicep tear.
@@alexmarlett865 how do you feel now? My labrum frayed and the Dr. just cleaned the fray up and reattached the bicep. I’m 3-1/2 months post op right now. I feel like I’m worse off than when I started. When I workout it feels good but the next day feels like it’s unstable and inflamed
@@mike5960 you know Mike I still feel the same, I’m going for a MRI This week I think it’s retorn again
@@mike5960 feels good when I do therapy sometimes then goes back to pain

If you were to make the decision of having your surgery that you had last year, would you still have the surgery or not?
In my case, definitely not.
@@trainingwithbill2067 Salam Bill! Good God, man! An "enhanced" guy at my gym had a rotator cuff injury and pec tear, he went under the knife around 3 or 4 months ago. His range of motion almost back to normal. I see he is recovering beautifully. However, he feels it is too slow and want to change his therapist! Seeing his progress made me think about surgery to repair my shoulder, then I saw your comment!
I remember my therapist saying with PT you should see 10% progress every three months if you are following your program to the T! My advise, reach out to Dean Somerset or Eric Cressey for a program tailored to your needs. Those guys (especially Eric), are specialists when it comes to helping athletes.
I wonder what your Doctor have to say about what is happening with you. BTW, in case you have some fibrosis, why not have your PT blast them with Shockwaves, dry needling and graston?
I hope you get will soon and return back to normal!
I think I was better before my shoulder surgery too!
@@johnrobert2074 did your surgeon do a good job? What are you unable to do that you were able to do before the injury?
@@jimsolmer1292 my shoulder is worst now than it was before my surgery my shoulder grinds if I over use it I had my surgery two years ago

@@Easternworld420 how’s working out like bench press and stuff with your shoulder
@@noahhumes2757 bench is okay but I injured my other shoulder badly and haven't gotten it checked out yet. I fear a bad strain or another tear.
Be very careful with your other shoulder. I'm very frustrated. My right one healed, and then as it was getting better I fucked my other one up.
@@Easternworld420 updates?
I totally understand how you feel, i've lost my abs due to not being able to lift.
Doesn't mean for you to give up and yes I'm the one who disliked ur comment. It's never too late to train and get fit, so stay in the fight brother.
I’m 4 weeks post op an I’m doing Physical therapy now but it’s all stretching to I hit 6weeks
