The Curse Tablet from Joshua’s Altar on Mount Ebal

- The much anticipated Mount Ebal “curse tablet” discovered at Joshua’s Altar on Mount Ebal was finally published last Friday, May 12, in the open-access peer-reviewed journal Heritage Science. The miniature folded lead tablet, having been initially presented in a lively press release just over a year ago, had generated a huge amount of interest.
On today’s program, host Brent Nagtegaal interviews the lead author of the paper, archaeologist Dr. Scott Stripling, about the amazing discovery and its final publication.

It was Aharon Lipman's suggestion to Dr. Stripling to wet-sift Adam Zertal's discard pile from his early 1980s dig at Joshua's altar. Wet-sifting has become standard practice now even though Mr. Zertal had done an excellent job at his dig using standard methods of dry sifting from the 1980s.
Mr. Zertal's original conclusions have all been vindicated. What a find!.

Another great video from Armstrong Institute. It was very enlightening to hear Dr. Stripling's response to the recent uproar about the paper. I also had no idea that they had discovered 2 styluses! I think it's pretty clear that it is an execration tablet just from the format. It will remain to be seen where the dusts settles about the content of the text. It may have to wait for more advanced technology in decades to come.

From what I've tried to research the scholarly community is all wound up. But it seems like that's historically the case for big claims - even the altar itself a few decades ago! But while they're fighting over the words, I think everything else besides that is just as interesting....like if a paper does come out that the lead is from that time period....and what about the letters on the outside... I definitely saw the letters when I looked at the paper for the second time and also noticed the three letters for Yahweh were clear.

Detailing:
1. The tomographic process of differentiating script letters from oxidation and deformation of the lead tablet.
2. Account for the variations in script size and style. Different hands making the inscription?
3. Explain the “Meandering” script.
4. Could there be other interpretations.
Archeology:
What limitations in dating and significance were compromise by the tablet being found in a discard pile?

You might want to interview Daniel Vainstub about this inscription as well. His opinion after having read the article is radically different (and that's an understatement) than that of the writers.
If Dr. Stripling is going to do the reenactmend tablet let the text it be an English nurnesy rhyme and let each word be wriiten by another person in his her individual handwriting so that there are different handwriting styles - each word put down independantly like signatures on a birthday card.

To these, summer and winter, Joshua read the "blessings and the cursings according to all that is written in the book of the law (Josh 8.34) - the blessings went to the summer; the cursings, to the winter side of the year.

The Hebrew alphabet was the very first phonetic alphabet on earth. I love the fact that it may have been invented by Joseph who received dreams and understanding of dreams directly from God. It's logical that the alphabet was a *gift from God!* What an incredibly _valuable_ gift. Bless the Lord!

I really admire this channels content and pursuit of truth of God's word!! Yet I cannot help but notice on your shelf an idol of the Baal heliocentric model of idolatry of Apollo, ORION , Artemis, DRAGON, Saturn, Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Neptune! Why do you feel the need to have this idol in clear view!? Jesus Christ our Lord never fails to tell us to do the will and obey his Father which validates the Old testament commands!!
The term used "Biblical Archaeology" renders the creditability of the content worthless. No one would use such a term except an apologist.
It's an unprovenanced object and the interpretation of the so-called inscription is fanciful in every way. Contrary to the claims of Stripling, there is no actual writing inside. The supposed, reconstructed, "letters" don't even match each other, let alone any known inscriptions.
YHWH, Yahweh, Jehovah, Yah, is not God the Father. He is one of the mighty ones, Elohim. Mauro Biglino channel explains this as he is a Hebrew text expert and former church translator. Also Jesus taught this, and is in the bible. Acts 7:38 says the God at Sinai was an angel of the Lord. Psalm 89.6 Yah is one of the sons of El. Dueteronomy 32:8-9 Yah is under El. Acts 6.11 Stephen was killed for saying Moses did not meet God. John 5.37 says no man has seen God. Psalm 29 encourages the sons of El to worship Yah.Psalm 82 assembly of El. And of course Yah not knowing what was in Sodom and Ghomorroh and Canaan having to send human and angel spies. Jesus told the Israelis of the order of Aaron that the son of man worshipped animals and pagan/daemon deities. Yah appears to be an Elohim that obeyed the Father most high and his Christ. Yah quit at 2 Kings 23:26-27 and Judah was given over to Nebechenezer II or Marduks Man 2 Kings 25:27, Marduk being Enkei or EA. Jesus is our new high priest of the order of Melchesedek, of the Father of lights. Jesus is Lord of Heaven and earth now and commands all men to repent and be born again. Amen.

Yah and Elohim are one and the same... Different authors esteemed one name over another i.e. in Deuteronomy, the Priestly, the Elohist and the Yahweh writers of first 5 books of the Bible the Pentateuch. From this allows some readers confusion and others are giving license to create strange DOCTRINE. The angel of the LORD was a conduit of the LORD and spoke as a vessel the express words of the most High. So you believe there are a family or pantheon of gods!??

If you read the chapter in entirety you should be able to grasp that God judges man who He gave the title "gods" due to the dominion God gave us over the earth and points out " we are children of the most High " of which Jesus Christ himself states in Matthew to the Pharisees "ye are gods" which Jesus clearly relates to PSALMS!! Stripling's paper is rubbish. Every epigrapher that I know is saying the same thing: there is no discernible text on this object. There may be glyphs of some sort, but everything that has been suggested by Galil as letters are just as likely to be striations in a very malleable tiny, thin metal object that is thousands of years old.
And this is to say nothing for how Stripling continues to caricature the Documentary Hypothesis in all of his interviews.

The self made tablet idea was my first thought to buy on to letting this lab handle the original tablet. That would have proved the tech and any possible effects on the original lead🫡🙋🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
