The Ollivanders Interactive Wand Experience is a must do in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Hogsmeade! The wait is worth it! Especially, if you are the lucky one selected! In every group one lucky member will be able to try a variety of wands, using a little bit of magic to see if the wand chosen fit's the selected witch or wizard... If you are planning to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, you must pay a visit to Ollivanders Wand Shop!
And remember, the wand chooses the wizard!

My teenage daughters just got selected to do this today! They called me, over the moon, and I was like “What did you do?”

I got chosen at age 27! There were only a few other people in with me.
You have to show interest and go a few times to show you really want it
Totally discussed with these people ,they tell you you are going to see a small show about how the wand chooses you and some one is asked (a child) to come forward. Finally they find the wand for the said child and they say he was choose. And they Give the child the wand.Imagine the happiness of the child at being the chosen one.Then as you leave the shop You are told you have to pay70 DOLLARS for the wnd
It would be different if they planned on buying one already but I get your point, go in to see the show, they pick your kid out and now you're forced to buy the wand or break your kids heart...
I was chosen for this when I was a kid, and it's honestly one of the best things I've ever experienced. I actually came into the shop planning to just buy a wand, I didn't know it was a whole show, so when I was told I got picked and realized I'll have my own unique wand I was very excited. I paid for it myself, and still have it to this day. Best 50 dollars I've ever spent.
Very nice performance. Not being a Harry Potter fan, this means little to me. Now if they were giving him his first lightsaber...

Yup, Hermione has a dragon core and Ron has a Unicorn, so the three friends have all 3 of the cores
It's almost like that bit of information was kind of a big deal for the main protagonist and antagonist of the series.

I would love this but I'm 6'8" man. It would look really goofy. I wish this kind of place existed when I was young Harry Potter fan in the mid to late 2000's.
I would love to be chosen, but that would require me to have money to go to Universal. And money to buy a wand, besides there are like three wands I want, and one is a USJ exclusive, so to eBay I go.

Hello Emma! That sounds exciting! You do not have to pay to enter the Ollivander's Experience, but you do have to pay for the wands. This is either way, if you are chosen or not to participate. Upon entering the Ollivander's Experience you will be greeted by a witch or wizard working in the shop. From there they will select one witch or wizard to participate. Once a wand has been chosen, you are then able to proceed to purchase. You can purchase the wand you earned during the experience or you may exchange it for another of your liking. If you are not chosen during your first try at the experience, don't fret. The Ollivander's Experience happens about every 10-15 minutes. Have a magical day!

i think he flubbled his line at the second wand because he sais the second wand also had unicorn hair when in most shows they say the 2nd wand had dragon heart strings

Even the wizard or witch who participates has to pay for their own wand. They can proceed to checkout with the wand that chose them during the experience, or exchange it for another wand of choice. Or they can even walk away without the purchase of a wand all together, even if they were the one participating in the experience.

@@Genna01I agree, I would expect thought that if a parent were to walk in the shop with their child they better realize there kid may get picked and will end up spending the cash on it. If I didn’t have the funds my kid would not be going to that.
