I wish the Supreme King lasted longer, because he was a cool villain, my 2nd favorite Yugioh villain behind Yubel.
I feel like GX suffers from that a lot. It's clear they were still figuring things out and weren't sure what they were doing.
Season 1 had a ton of great elements that got rushed and mucked up‚ season 2 was just weird beyond belief‚ but season 3 started something pretty amazing. I feel that the supreme king was the best part of that.

Like I love Jaden of all the yugioh protagonist but he was definitely over used in duels but it was cool to see him develop and become a badass in season 4. But yeah Gx definitely rushed things and threw random things at you. I just wished they used all the characters to their fullest extent like they basically did for Yugioh 5'DS which is no doubt the best yugioh anime adaptation.

Because I think 5ds had the most memorable side characters and gave them either a interesting story line apart of the plot or some development. But I still definitely see what you mean the show did have its flaws. Also what's your favorite yugioh of the series?

You know, technically Haou never lost; Axel only got a draw against him, although the draw was enough for the eye to work its magic. This makes Haou the only Yu-Gi-Oh villain to have never suffered an actual duel loss.

The supreme king reminds me of Darth Vader as their personalities are pretty much similar being cold and dark. When they release their rage the eyes are yellow it kind of was interesting.

Interesting to think that the Supreme King is one of the few characters in all of Yugioh to have 0 losses. A draw sure, but 0 outright defeats
if you count all of the backstorys for all of the characters aswell he is the only 1 to never lose a duel going off the main lot though no back storys counting he and Playmaker were the only 2 that never lost if memory serves
When I saw him discard that card, I was like "No way! He actually made it?!?!?" So many people killed for that super polymerization. The Supreme King is definitely my favorite villain from the design to the voice and pretty much everything

I think they need to make more Evil Hero versions of the Omni Elemental Heroes like Dark Gaia and Malicious Bane (1 fiend + 1 different type of monster like Dragon or Cyberse) as well as an Evil version of Terra Firma. I actually had an idea for the latter, named Evil Hero Kul-Elna (or however you spell the name of the town that was used to make the Millennium Items) and he grants Evil Heroes special summoned from the extra deck 2500 ATK during both players battle phases!

1:03 nope, if you're talking about Chinese then it's "Hǎo" (好) which means "good" and we did adopt that word "hảo" which basically means the same thing
But "Haō" (覇王) is a completely different word.
The stress pattern is also different, the Chinese word is stressed on the first syllable whereas the Japanese word is stressed on the second

I get that Jaden possessed the power of the gentle darkness which is suppose to take on the light of destruction, but wouldn't it have been a good idea for them to have a character who was bad, but possessed the power of the light of destruction in order to take on beings like Night Shroud.
After all if Jaden is the good guy with a dark power, shouldn't there be a bad guy with a good power, two characters who are the opposite of each other, one to protect the world from the Light of Destruction and the other to protect the world from Darkness.
I get that Jaden was the main character, but if anyone thinks about it, Jaden having a rival who is a villain who is the complete opposite of him and equal in skill and power, but meant to protect the world like Jaden would be cool.
I get that they did have a villain with the power of the Light of Destruction, but what I am talking about is a bad guy who uses the Light of Destruction for good rather than evil. It would also be cool if a evil character called that power the Gentle Light. Since Jaden has the Gentle Darkness.
So the Supreme King is basically what Atem is to Yugi but for jaden
pretty much the only difference being is how his powers put through Jaden compared the Atem

Love the parallel of the dynamic between Judai and haou (yes I prefer the Japanese names) compared to Yugi and Atem’s dynamic. Think about it: both are between a teen boy and a malicious half, the only difference is that unlike Yugi who actually befriends his darker half and works in tandem with it, Judai embraces his darker half and lets it control him... I don’t know if that was intentional though...

My feelings toward season 3 are complicated. One one hand, SK Judai has an awesome design, has a powerful and overbearing aura, and does whatever he has to in seeing plans come to fruition. On the other, it was painful seeing the leadup to it--the whole increasing recklessness, taking on more deadly duels when others could have stepped in, seeing friends vanish right before his eyes, all that. And the reveal (such as it was, I suspected after a few episodes) still stung.
Thinking back, it was like he had a dormant spirit of the ring that simply took advantage of the trauma and pain and went ham.
It is a shame that he did not duel Ryo in that state.
Anyone else want to see a manga-verse version of the Supreme King. I can up with my own version, though it’s not Jayden it’s his son named Koyo Yuki (named after Koyo Hibiki).
Unlike anime Jayden, Koyo embraces the power and willingly uses the Evil Heroes. He gets Yubel at Solomon Moto’s Game Shop and it turns out to be a contest winner that lets him design a full deck and extra deck’s worth of cards, so he makes the Evil Heroes we all know and love alongside some support for Yubel (in the form of a few traps, an equip spell, and a continuous spell). Unfortunately, his dad unjust locks Yubel in his desk draw due to his experience with dark power (note, he never encountered the Light of Destruction or Gentle Darkness so he thinks all darkness is evil), though Koyo breaks her out before he leaves for Duel Academy. During the first day, Koyo fuses Yubel to his soul when she first starts causing trouble which is reflected in how his deck is built around either summoning a Evil Hero Fusion for a OTK or bringing and keeping out Yubel to trick a cocky opponent into destroying himself/herself.
He also builds decks around the Sacred Beasts and the Wicked gods (remember, this is the manga world which has the wicked gods) after finding out his dark power can keep them from causing trouble.
Koyo’s story involves a modified and combined version of the Shadow Riders and the Society of Light’s arc with the final battle being a televised duel between Koyo and Sartorius where Koyo debuted his Evil Heroes (up to that point, he was first using a deck focused around dark warriors, then he switched to using his Sacred Beast deck).

Depends on whether it is an embellishment, the way you refer to a ruler of two or more kingdoms in personal union or the way you refer to someone who has several kings as vassals. The Japanese rarely make any kind of distinction though because the next highest thing to the Daimyo (roughly corresponds to the rank of Archduke) is the Tenno. A King would be somehwere between those.

This comment may be two years later but damn you're awesome man. I had a hard time beating him, not sure how many turns it took (or what kinda deck i used) since it's been a long time since I've played Tag Force 3 but it took me SO MANY TURNS to defeat him. XDD

Now to write a fanfic on an AU where Duel Acadamia defeats Yuya and the other 2 Yu bois, however an AU Supreme King Judai, on his quest to conquer every Dimension, encounters the Arc-V Duel Acadamia, and gives them the option to submit, or be sent to the stars. (In this case, the "Stars" is gathering the life force of other duelists to create new cards at will, but must be done by ritual) New Evil Hero support, Supreme King Castle is a real card, maybe a vengeful Shun decides to be a commander to Assist Judai. Nah, that's silly

As someone who has never watched a YGO series beyond DM, I had always thought Jaden was just being a multi personality edge lord when he adopted the Supreme King persona.
Always sighed whenever the character is brought up with how cliche the concept was

One important trivia is in ep 100 -105 when saiou showed jaden the future , he saw himself in the dark dimension of 3rd season and the shadow of Supreme king swallow him....im surprised many sources missed documenting this....GX forever

Yubel does love Jaden, but he/she is a yandere, and also have a lot of sexual tension with him, like... Literally, when fighting against Jaden in Rohan body, Yubel was talking about how she/he wanted Jaden to make him/her scream and being merciless

Also bec light of destruction, but man I don’t think the light of destruction needed to be there for this to work, Yubel was already overprotective and obsessive over Judai, they probably wouldn’t accept that the fact that Judai actually hurt them out of anything but love anyways
the Gentle darkness itself is what did it The Supreme King himself wasn't actually evil the thing is with the Gentle Darkness going through him that already was alot to hold back then you gotta take into account the host body of both the darkness and the spirit of Supreme king Jaden was so depressed so sad the gentle darkness gives great power if not the ultimate power but only if you can control it it amplifies your darker emotions to take over the Supreme king was mearly taken over plus his spirit was alone for so long aswell locked away thats gunna make you bitter after all that time plus how much he cared from what i gathered it was amplified even more by Jadens rage and regret then the darkness took advantage and took over so Jadens regret of his taking over was way worse because the Supreme kings spirit regretted causing so much pain

In my eyes, I think he became evil because he became the wielder of The Gentle Darkness, so it automatically gradually corrupted him
Tbf, Judai wasn't in the best of mental states when the Supreme King was awakened. That might have had something to do with it.
he wasnt exactly happy with how it was back then when he was alive his childhood friend was turned into something even if it was at the friends request he still had feelings of helplessness for what Yubel did not to mention coming of age the gentle darkness was activated and therefore he wasnt ready to tame it and then when he came back in Jadens body he was brought out through rage he was born in a warstate period where it was nothing but plus he was most likly constantly reminded that he was the Supreme King the one to wield the gentle darkness so it corrupted him he had hate and resentment aswell as regret of not being able to protect his friend aswell as rage at his own weakness thats what he was like when he died and then the next time he comes out he comes through a depressed guy who regrets not ebing able to save his friends and can't do nothing about it so more feelings of powerlessness plus the trigger was pure unadulterated rage its not a surprise he was so evil the poor guy had nothing but evil to grow up around for most of his life if not all of it and a darkness gentle or not is still darkness negative emotions being amplified so he couldnt fight it off

I still take issue with the whole love part between haou and yubel. Not because it was love. But due to the fact that in the end. It didn't feel like he was fusing them together out of love, it was more to make sure yubel didn't go through with her/his plans of destroying everything just so they couldn't be together. I watched both in sub and dub and I never really felt that this ending was about love, yubel was just to far gone to stop their plans and Judai therefore fused them together, giving yubel what they wanted in the end.
Also, haou was a child when he said he love yubel for all eternity. Sadly, children view love in a very simple way, in a "I love you as family" way most of the time. So I never even got the feeling of romance between them to start off with.
If we had more time between the two as haou and yubel, maybe I see it more, but in the end.... I can't say I really believe that judai actually loves Yubel, just more forgives yubel, and let's them join him in his life, which was all yubel kinda wanted in a way.

@@kotormaster1975 Let’s give The black rose a role at Duel academy, but in this version she dosen’t have any friends. She is almost always in her Obelisk blue room being handed food and homework. One day she had enough and leaves Duel academy with Jaden who ends up in the synchro dimension. They go separate ways with Akiza embracing The black rose, becoming the queen or underground dueling. At some point Yuri get’s super poly and Jaden feels the urch to get it because that card speaks to him. Since he knows Akiza who was at Duel academy, he asks for help to get there and she accepts because of the lust for revenge. She left Duel academy the first time right before the invasion. Akiza likes Jadens skills and becomes loyal to him despite of what he does. When super poly is taken from Yuri, the supreme king is born and they have the mission to stop the professor by transfer fallen duelists souls to power up super poly to merch all dimensions together. The story is different but this is my idea for the teamup.

There is literally no indication of their gender back when they were human in the Japanese version. They could be male or female but we don't know since they are never revealed to us.
