It isn’t open for premium yet. Only premium plus have access.

Pls no. Lumiya may be OK for the apst few years but it is certainly outdated and taxing on mobile device resources.

Some people still uses lumiya is very limited but it works
@samanthap4550 i still have the lumiya app on my android. i downloaded the apk from my samsung's google browser. it might not be the best, but hey! it works great for communications on the go! ❤

the thing from second life I want the most is a free solo private sandbox :)
It's called a home.
"Sim on a stick" or other related/similar projects. Will run on a potato and you have no limits on objects or imports (of course).
As a Premium Plus resident, I just submitted a ticket for the invitation. Resident since 2007. 🤞🏻
I wish this was available today. I just crashed my graphics card this week and can't log in to pay my rents :(
You might be able to with Speedlight viewer, I haven't tried it myself but it's a fairly developed mobile viewer so it probably lets you pay people
You may want to reduce graphic processing power next time. I burnt my graphic cards over the years playing sl too. Until I tweaked my settings.

I always wondered why there wasn't a mobile version many years ago.
I downloaded the app two days ago: my phone heats up a lot and my avatar is completely deformed. I tried to do as you suggest: logout, teleport etc etc. Nothing.
It does not work well. I have an iPhone 15 Plus and an Apple Tablet. I have the same problem on both devices. 😟
Here are some issues I have with the new app....
1. I would like to be notified of new messages
2. I would like for the app to be able to run in the background.
3. I would like to be able to work the menu when you click on the couch, bed, etc...

Im running this from my s24 ultra with the best network connection, and it look nothing like this because it takes too long to load up your avi and the environment

Can you also work the android app to meta quest headset? Second life is perfect for VR and would be the best "metaverse"
second life is not optmizae for vr technology, they made sansar for that, but was sold, But I think sansar still active and fully supports vr
It would be useful to say the exact name and show the App logo in this video, cause I just searched on google play store and Im only getting Avakin and other old stuff

We had a third party years ago, and it worked pretty good. This has been a long time coming.
It still works. It's called Lumiya, but it's clearly not as good as the app the Lab is developing.

@@binksterb"something" isn't good enough. I'm glad the team at linden is waking up to invest more on its users who have been loyal for years. I hope this captures more new user base. Linden has been resting on the loyal user base and not evolving pre-pandemic. The changes post pandemic has been more than what it had done before and I'm glad it is so
only for premium customers or normal users can join ? also if the app later downloaded will it be paid or free?

Nah, testing is ongoing with regular improvements. It's still short of being a fully usable client, but it's definitely getting there. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I just hope this mobile second life apk version will not be to havy for mobile devices . Someone mentioned lumiya apk . That apk was sooo havy for phones or tablets maybe was good only for high end celphones or tablets but for rest it was needed forewer to load avatar or area around avatar and when it loads 30 minuts of eternity later you can't move or tp only chat . So in my opinion it was bad apk nice try but it was bad. If i can play call of duty on mobile or imvu or pubg on my cheaper phone why should i can't play Second life i just wish they make it playable on any mobile device that would be awesome . I say call of duty from 1 reason that game is havy 30+ gb on android apk but it is playable on all devices no matter if they are cheap with just 64 gb ram or high end mobile devices . But for example i can't play on my phone Diablo immortal who is also around 30 gb ram which is funny call of duty is 3D FPS game . So in my opinion Call of duty need to be way havyer but is not and Diablo immortal is 2D mmorpg which not look much realistic as call of duty or pubg or any other similar realistic game but it is havy as hell . Which sycksss 🤔 i know second life ower years become havier and havier on pc i hope that will not be on mobile apk like that .

But I would not know yet, how to make a steady screen-recording.
It looks already pretty, pretty good.
I also think, the most users want to have at the moment or at first the opportunity to "fast log in mobile" ... or "stay in contact, while being not at home" ... or "an emergency connection" (eg. Desktop broken) ... with stability ... but maybe not look on 100% perfection.
The people, which not even have a "normal Computer" anymore and only an Android or iOS device ... come as next.
When will it be out for everybody?
No one knows yet, but judging by how well they are showing improvements. Maybe by the end of 2024, or early 2025.
